They helped me get my little stray injured cat all healed up for a very reasonable price (small impromptu surgery & all). They also helped by getting a voucher for neutering him while he was already under anesthesia, which saved me some $$$ & helps make sure the stray population doesn't continue to grow wildly. Will be back with my fur babies as well!

Welcome to My Animal Hospital
Welcome to the introduction of My Animal Hospital, a local pet hospital situated at 1989 Hwy 70 E, Jackson, TN 38305, USA. As a dedicated Pet Hospital, My Animal Hospital aims to provide comprehensive veterinary care services to the local community. You can reach them at (731) 423-3332 or via mobile at +1 731-423-3332.
Based on available information, My Animal Hospital offers a range of services expected from a standard veterinary care facility. One positive customer review highlights their ability to handle unexpected medical needs, such as providing care for an injured stray cat. This included a small impromptu surgery performed at what was considered a reasonable price by the customer. Furthermore, this review mentions the proactive approach of the clinic in facilitating a voucher for neutering during the same anesthetic procedure, resulting in cost savings for the pet owner and contributing to responsible pet population control. This suggests that My Animal Hospital may be willing to work with pet owners on cost-effective solutions and consider the broader community impact of their services.
However, it is important to present a balanced view, and another customer review expresses significant dissatisfaction with their experience. This review details two primary concerns. Firstly, there was a failure to administer a requested vaccination (Bordetella) to one of the two dogs being boarded, despite clear communication with the clinic staff about the boarding requirement. This oversight caused inconvenience and potential risk at the boarding facility. Secondly, the reviewer raised serious safety concerns regarding an incident in the waiting room involving an aggressive dog whose owner struggled to maintain control. The reviewer felt that the clinic staff did not adequately address the situation or prioritize the safety of other waiting patients. The presence of an "animal control" officer engaging in casual conversation behind the counter during this incident, rather than intervening, further compounded the negative perception. The reviewer explicitly states that the clinic did not apologize or take sufficient precautions to ensure patient safety, leading to a decision not to return.
Considering these contrasting experiences, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the environment and overall features of My Animal Hospital. The positive review suggests a caring and resourceful approach in certain situations, particularly in handling unexpected injuries and offering cost-saving measures. This might indicate a team that is capable of providing quality medical care and is willing to go the extra mile for animal welfare.
On the other hand, the negative review paints a picture of potential lapses in communication and attention to detail, as evidenced by the missed vaccination. More concerning are the allegations regarding the lack of attention to patient safety in the waiting area. A comfortable and secure environment is a crucial aspect of any veterinary clinic, as it can significantly impact the stress levels of both pets and their owners. The incident described raises questions about the clinic's protocols for managing potentially aggressive animals and ensuring a safe atmosphere for everyone present.
To provide a more comprehensive understanding of My Animal Hospital's environment, one would ideally have information regarding the cleanliness of the facilities, the availability of separate waiting areas for different types of animals (e.g., cats and dogs), the comfort and amenities provided for pets and owners, and the general atmosphere of the clinic. Similarly, details about the examination rooms, surgical suites, and any on-site diagnostic equipment would offer valuable insights into the hospital's capabilities.
In terms of services, the positive review mentions "small impromptu surgery" and the administration of vaccines. The negative review also refers to puppy vaccines and the Bordetella vaccination. Based on this limited information, it can be inferred that My Animal Hospital likely offers routine vaccinations and surgical procedures. However, the full scope of their services remains unclear. Typically, a pet hospital offers a wider range of services, which may include:
- Preventative care: This includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (flea, tick, heartworm), and nutritional counseling.
- Diagnostics: This may involve laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), imaging (X-rays, ultrasound), and other diagnostic procedures to identify health issues.
- Surgery: This can range from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic procedures.
- Dental care: Services may include teeth cleaning, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases.
- Emergency care: Some pet hospitals offer emergency services during their operating hours or have affiliations with emergency veterinary clinics.
- Medication dispensing: Providing prescribed medications for pets.
- Microchipping: Implanting microchips for pet identification.
- Euthanasia and palliative care: Providing compassionate end-of-life care.
Without further information from the clinic's website or other sources, it is not possible to confirm which of these services are offered at My Animal Hospital.
Regarding features, the positive review highlights the reasonable pricing and the proactive approach to neutering. These could be considered positive features of the clinic. However, the negative review points to significant potential drawbacks, such as communication issues and a lack of perceived attention to safety. Other common features of a pet hospital might include experienced veterinarians and staff, availability of appointments, online portals for communication or appointment booking, and specialized equipment or facilities. Again, the available information does not provide details on these aspects for My Animal Hospital.
As for promotional information, none was provided in the given data. Typically, pet hospitals might offer promotions such as discounts on initial consultations, vaccination packages, senior pet wellness programs, or seasonal specials. It would be advisable to contact My Animal Hospital directly or visit their website (if available) to inquire about any current promotions.
In conclusion, My Animal Hospital in Jackson, TN, appears to be a local Pet Hospital that has received both positive and negative feedback from customers. While one review praises their compassionate care and reasonable pricing, particularly in an unexpected situation, another raises serious concerns about communication, attention to detail, and, most importantly, patient safety in the waiting area. Potential local users are advised to consider these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly regarding their services, environment, and safety protocols before making a decision about their pet's care.

Apr 10, 2025 · Missy GarnerI felt extremely mislead by the reviews here. Our first visit here was fine, we were just getting puppy vaccines. However, our second visit (maybe third) was a total nightmare. We had to have our dogs vaccinated before we left on vacation. We took them in at the same time and mentioned more than once that we were taking them to be boarded after this. They gave one dog the Bordetella vaccination but not the other and we didn't realize this until we were at the boarding facility with them. I wish that were the worst of the experience, but it wasn't. The worst part was that while in the waiting room there was a man with two dogs who were clearly aggressive and he could barely control. I was afraid to even stand with my back to them while I paid because I was concerned I would be bitten. While all this was going on, there was an "animal control" officer laughing and cutting up behind the counter. It wasn't until an older lady's dog got close and almost got injured that he was asked to wait outside. I do see some fault on the owner's part in this but the vet clinic never apologized or took precautions to make their other patients safe. Between the safety concern and them not performing all requested services, we will not EVER go back to this vet.
Jan 08, 2025 · Ashton RakesThe Staff was just great and friendly. My little 5.5 pound Yorker had a spay procedure today and all went well. The Doctor did great and everything was explained as to care for our little girl. Thanks you all!
