Dr. Lauren was amazing with our chocolate lab mix. She’s pretty reactive and requires a lot of patience, Dr. Taylor and the vet tech were both amazing and so patient and caring with her. Having a reactive dog is hard, and going to a scary place like the vet is even harder but I am SO appreciative of the kindness and empathy from the staff there. Staff even ensured that the lobby was cleared when we were ready to leave. I would HIGHLY recommend Mt Tabor vet to anyone looking for veterinary services!

I highly recommend this office. I have two cats, Mochi and Sash, that received wonderful care. Here are the details. The front desk staff when scheduling was patient, helpful and listened to all my concerns and requests. On the appt day, we had a nice room with cat pheromone plugins and towels with it sprayed on them to help calm the boys. The first tech took their time when working with my spicy Mochi, and didn't push him. Sash, a sweet, timid giant, got gold stars and was also handled gently by them. Then, when the Vet came in, she spent ample time talking about all the different concerns. She tried to assess Mochi, and stopped when Mochi gave a clear stop. She gave sound advice about increasing gabapentin the night before and morning after which would help calm him. When checking Sash, she noticed a heart murmur, and then had another vet also check to confirm. I have read other reviews that they are "money hungry" and doing tests not needed. This was not my experience at all. With Sash, there a suggestion given to me about seeing a cardiologist to determine if he could have anesthesia for a dental cleaning. Meaning, could his heart handle it. The two vets discussed the best options, they decided the first route care was to do a blood test (less expensive) because the murmur was mild and could be from stress from the visit. All of this sounded great to me. These are my fur babies, and I'm grateful that they take precautions. Sash had bloodwork and the techs were awesome, gentle and skilled. I was able to be right next to him and pet his face. We all felt cared for and tended too. Lastly, I want to mention that 2.5 years ago, they gave fantastic care to a puppy I had for a brief time. Mt. Tabor caught (other vet place didn't catch this) that he had a neurological problem that impacted his gait and ability to chew/swallow. Short of the long, it was so helpful they discovered this. Sadly, because of increasing health complications related to this, I had to put the puppy down after doing care with specialists at Dove Lewis. Both Mt. Tabor and Dove Lewis were amazing. I even had a grief support session with someone at Mt. Tabor. This is long, but I hope this helps you make a decision to try here. Your pets and you will be very cared for! They even call your pets your kiddos! -Ruth Woods Cortez

The initial care received by my puppy was good and Drs. and assistants were kind. Unfortunately, when the pup needed some same day care, they were not able to offer even a few minutes to look at the dog and instead referred me to expensive urgent care facility. They are booked up and not flexible with their scheduling, so you can’t count on them when you need them, which is a poor business model and a miserable failure when it comes to overall animal care. Take your business elsewhere if you are looking for a business that is there when you need them.

I love Mt Tabor Vet! I used to be a practice manager for vet clinics before I made the switch to human medicine about 3-4 years ago. Ever since I left the vet field, I have really struggled to find a vet clinic that I truly trust. I have a very high standard for where I take my pets and that includes the vet techs, assistants, receptionists, and management. Mt Tabor nails it on all levels. Not only is the clinic in my neighborhood, but they stand out from others by having their own unique culture that feels warm and personal but still professional without that cold and sterile feeling that most clinics have. The entire staff has been super nice and they have really taken their time with my pup Ichiro at each of his visits. The exam rooms are always so clean and comfortable (I mean look at that cozy room in the pic! Interior brick?! 😍). And I know this sounds ridiculous to mention but I personally love that there have been zero mistakes on my pet’s chart. You wouldn’t believe how common mistakes are (mostly because clinics are frequently short-staffed and chaos ensues!). I don’t sense that chaotic clinic feeling at Mt Tabor at all. At our first visit, our Tech was having trouble getting a good blood draw because my Boston has terrible puppy veins. So many Techs have big egos and refuse to have someone else try but she did the ethical thing and tapped in a more senior Tech to do the blood draw so that Ichiro wouldn’t need to experience more pokes than necessary. I appreciate that she did the right thing in this situation and knows when that choice needs to be made. The only semi-negative I can think to mention is that either their text software doesn’t work with my phone, or maybe it’s new and just not working correctly. With my busy schedule, I’m a huge fan of being able to text with businesses and I think it’s a huge part of running a successful clinic. I wish their texting worked for us but I’m also a millennial and that’s just a personal thing 😅. Not a huge deal because they are very responsive by phone and email so it’s all good! TL;DR - You can really trust that your pets will be in good hands at Mt Tabor Vet ❤️

The kindest people work here. We went through a sudden loss of our dog they were caring for and they went out of their way to support us in every way possible. Especially want to shout out Tracy, who never let us feel alone during such a tough time. RIP Ruby girl
