Welcome to Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic
Welcome to the introduction of Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic, a local establishment categorized as a Pet Hospital, situated at 981 E 20th St, Mountain Grove, MO 65711, USA. This platform aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of the clinic, combining publicly available information to present an objective introduction to its environment, services, features, and any pertinent information that may assist pet owners in making informed decisions about their animal's care. You can reach Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic at (417) 926-3315 or via mobile at +1 417-926-3315.
As a Pet Hospital, Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic is expected to offer a variety of medical services aimed at maintaining and improving the health of domestic animals. Typically, such facilities provide services ranging from routine check-ups and vaccinations to more complex medical treatments and surgical procedures. These services are crucial for pet owners seeking professional care for their animal companions.
Based on the information available, specifically the customer reviews, it is important to consider the experiences shared by other pet owners. One review mentions a perceived lack of professionalism and rudeness during a phone inquiry regarding spaying a male dog. The reviewer described the phone interaction as unwelcoming and unhelpful.
Another, more detailed review recounts a negative experience involving a dog spaying procedure. This customer highlighted several concerns, beginning with a perceived lack of clear communication during the drop-off and pick-up of the pet. The reviewer also noted an unpleasant smell of urine within the clinic environment. Furthermore, the post-operative instructions were described as minimal, with the owner being advised to remove stitches themselves or travel a significant distance back to the clinic. The reviewer also expressed concern about the dog's condition upon return, mentioning a urine odor, a seemingly distressed state, and what appeared to be dried blood on the fur. A follow-up call regarding excessive licking was reportedly dismissed initially, only for it to turn out that the dog had indeed removed a stitch, leading to an open wound.
These reviews, while representing individual experiences, offer insights into potential aspects of the clinic's operations, including customer service, communication practices, the cleanliness of the facility, and post-operative care instructions. It is crucial for prospective clients to consider such feedback alongside any other information they may gather.
Given the nature of the reviews, it is challenging to provide a description of the clinic's positive features or promotional information based solely on this feedback. The experiences shared highlight areas that potential customers might want to inquire about specifically when contacting the clinic. These could include the protocols for pre- and post-operative care, the opportunity to speak with the veterinarian directly, the measures taken to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for animals, and the staff's communication and customer service practices.
As a Pet Hospital, Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic's core function would be to provide medical care for pets. This typically encompasses preventative care such as vaccinations and parasite control, diagnostic services including laboratory work and imaging, medical treatments for illnesses, and surgical procedures. Depending on the clinic's resources and specialization, they might also offer services like dental care, nutritional counseling, behavioral consultations, and emergency care.
The environment of a veterinary clinic plays a significant role in the comfort and well-being of the animals and their owners. Ideally, a pet hospital should be clean, organized, and designed to minimize stress for animals. Examination rooms should be well-equipped to allow for thorough assessments, and surgical suites should adhere to high standards of hygiene and safety. Recovery areas should be comfortable and monitored to ensure the well-being of animals post-procedure.
Features that can distinguish a Pet Hospital include the expertise and qualifications of the veterinary staff, the availability of advanced medical equipment, the range of services offered, the clinic's operating hours, and its approach to patient care and communication with pet owners. Some clinics may also offer additional amenities such as online appointment booking, prescription refills, or educational resources for pet owners.
Promotional information is typically used to attract new clients and inform existing ones about special offers or new services. However, based on the provided information, there are no specific promotions mentioned in the reviews. Typically, a clinic might promote seasonal services (like heartworm prevention in warmer months), discounts on specific procedures, or wellness packages that bundle essential preventative care services.
In conclusion, Mountain Grove Veterinary Clinic is listed as a Pet Hospital in Mountain Grove, Missouri, offering veterinary care services. While the provided customer reviews raise concerns regarding customer service, communication, facility cleanliness, and post-operative care, it is important to remember that these represent individual experiences. Prospective clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence, which may include contacting the clinic directly to inquire about their services, protocols, and to address any concerns they may have based on the feedback they have encountered. Visiting the clinic in person, if feasible, can also provide valuable insight into the environment and the interactions with staff. Ultimately, choosing a veterinary care provider is a significant decision that should be based on a comprehensive assessment of the clinic's ability to meet the individual needs of your pet.

Jan 27, 2025 · Hailie MetheneyIf I could give zero stars I would. Brought my dog there after it was recommended to me for the cheap price, and from what I heard good care and surgeries. Couldn’t be more far off from what I experienced. I got my dog spayed there and when I called the lady was already snippy on the phone, when I went into the place to drop her off there was little to no verbal communication and the place smelt of urine. Lady up front was rude and very short tempered, never even got to speak with the actual vet. Went back the next day to get her due to a really bad snow storm we had gotten, when I went inside to get my dog they didn’t explain anything about the surgery. Only thing they told me was to avoid getting it wet, lots of movement, and to take the stitches out myself or bring her back in 7-10 days. I live almost an hour and a half away. I had tried to ask if she had done okay during surgery but the lady responded with just a short nod. My dog stunk of urine and looked horrified, there was what I think was dried blood on her fur (hard to tell due to her dark color). Looked as if she was just put in a cage and left alone. When I brought her home she was constantly licking and when I called the lady replied saying she’s supposed to. Turns out she was not supposed to because she had licked/bit out one of her stitches, we put a cone on her and we weren’t able to get her back in to a different vet. Her wound is open wide and her stitches are gone. Again, if I could give zero stars, I would. Completely rude and awful staff. Your animals will not be given the best care here. The cheap price is not worth it.

Aug 20, 2024 · Garrett HARPERI dropped my card in the parking lot here. I'm not a regular customer (yet!), so the staff had no phone number for me. They went to the trouble to find me on FB and send me a msg on Messenger to let me know they had my card! Then they held onto it for over 3wks bc things were busy& I couldn't get there sooner. WOW!!! Ty very much to the helpful, knowledgeable staff who went out of their way and back to be sure my card was safe until they could find a way to get it back to me. You rock!!
