I would definitely look around before going here. I took my pup up there to be treated for her skin and they didn't do a scrape and just treated her for something random. I called about what happened and they wanted me to bring her back and pay more money to do the scrape and treat her again. So if your up for letting them do what they want with out any common sense or use of science that's your place. Be ready to double our triple spend and your fur baby still have the same issues.

Welcome to Mounds Veterinary Clinic
Mounds Veterinary Clinic, located at 18963 S Highway 75A, Mounds, OK 74047, USA, functions as a Pet Hospital serving the veterinary needs of the Mounds community and surrounding areas. For pet owners seeking medical attention for their animal companions, Mounds Veterinary Clinic can be reached at (918) 827-6900 or via mobile at +1 918-827-6900. As a veterinary clinic, they typically offer a range of services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of various animals. It is important for potential clients to consider diverse feedback when evaluating their suitability for their pet's care needs.
The environment at Mounds Veterinary Clinic, as perceived by clients, appears to evoke mixed reactions. While specific details about the interior decor or waiting areas are not provided, the atmosphere is shaped by the interactions clients have with the staff and the doctor. One positive review explicitly states, "We love Dr Sohl," suggesting a comfortable and trusting relationship has been built with this particular veterinarian over "years" of service. This indicates that for long-term clients, the clinic fosters a positive and reliable environment where they feel their pets are well cared for. However, another review paints a less favorable picture, describing a situation where the initial treatment for a skin issue was considered inadequate due to the lack of a proper diagnostic scrape, leading to a perception of "random" treatment. The request to "bring her back and pay more money to do the scrape and treat her again" created frustration and a feeling of being subjected to unnecessary additional costs. This suggests that for some new or specific cases, the diagnostic process or client communication regarding treatment plans might lead to a less satisfactory environmental experience, characterized by a feeling of disregard for "common sense or use of science." These contrasting views highlight that the client experience and perception of the environment can vary significantly.
Mounds Veterinary Clinic, as a Pet Hospital, generally offers a variety of services typical of a veterinary practice. While a detailed list of every service is not provided in the given reviews, a clinic of this nature would typically provide general wellness and preventative care, which includes routine examinations, vaccinations, and parasite control. The mention of a "skin" issue indicates they address common dermatological problems in pets. Diagnostic procedures are a core component of veterinary care, and while one review criticized the initial lack of a skin scrape, it implies that such diagnostic tools, or the capability to perform them, exist within the clinic. Veterinary clinics also commonly offer surgical procedures, including spaying and neutering, as well as minor soft tissue surgeries. Dental care is another essential service provided by most pet hospitals. The phrase "treated for something random" in one review, while expressing dissatisfaction, suggests that various treatments are administered for a range of conditions. The clinic's general scope of practice would likely encompass medical consultations for illnesses, injury management, and potentially some emergency care during operating hours. Their long-standing relationships with clients like those who have taken their pets there for "years" suggest a consistent provision of general veterinary care.
The features of Mounds Veterinary Clinic that stand out are primarily centered around the relationships built with specific veterinary professionals and the perceived value of care. Dr. Sohl is a significant feature, garnering strong loyalty and positive sentiment from long-term clients who "highly recommend" him. This personal connection and trust with a particular veterinarian are a considerable asset for the clinic. However, a contrasting feature highlighted by another reviewer is a perceived lack of thoroughness in initial diagnostics, leading to a feeling of inefficiency and potential "double or triple spend" without resolution of the pet's issues. This reviewer also expressed concerns about a lack of "common sense or use of science" in certain treatment approaches. The strong divergence in these two experiences points to potential inconsistencies in service delivery or client expectations. While some clients have found the clinic reliable for "years," others have encountered frustrating situations that led them to advise looking elsewhere. The presence of long-term, highly satisfied clients underscores that for many, Mounds Veterinary Clinic effectively meets their needs, likely through consistent and positive experiences with specific staff members and a trusted veterinarian. The clinic's ability to maintain these long-standing relationships is a testament to its features of consistent care for a segment of its clientele.
From a promotional standpoint, Mounds Veterinary Clinic's strongest asset is the loyalty and recommendation of long-term clients, particularly those who "love Dr Sohl" and "highly recommend" the clinic after "years" of taking their pets there. These positive word-of-mouth endorsements are invaluable, as they come from established trust and consistent positive experiences. The sentiment "We’ve taken our pets here for years" speaks volumes about client retention and satisfaction. However, the promotional efforts are likely impacted by the significant negative feedback concerning diagnostic thoroughness, perceived "random" treatments, and the implication of having to "double or triple spend" to resolve issues. This contrasting review could deter potential new clients who prioritize scientific rigor and clear diagnostic processes from the outset. While no explicit promotional offers or marketing campaigns are mentioned, the clinic's continued operation and the loyalty of its established client base suggest that for a segment of the community, the care provided, especially by Dr. Sohl, is highly valued and trusted. For new pet owners considering Mounds Veterinary Clinic, it would be advisable to inquire about their diagnostic protocols for specific conditions and perhaps seek recommendations from local community members who have recent experiences. The clinic's enduring presence and its strong relationships with a core group of clients form the most significant aspect of its promotional appeal within the local Mounds, OK, area.

Feb 19, 2025 · Jeff WardWe LOVE Dr. Randy. And Kim. And Taylor. Dr. Randy is the absolute best; he is loving, caring and knowledgeable. I wouldn't take our girlies anywhere else. I appreciate that I can ask questions and they will answer honestly and in terms that I can understand.
Jul 16, 2024 · Viktoria SackerThe folks here unparalleled in quality of service. None finer than Randy Sohl and the staff there.
Apr 18, 2025 · David SackerI’m sure he’s a good vet. I’m biased. He got sick on a delivery date so had to find another vet to deliver. Think he may just be getting at that age.☹️
