Personal was extremely rude. Argued as to whether or not my dogs vaccinations were current and when I said they were they then asked from what Vet as though I was lying. Charged me $55 to remove 6 sutures after a $650 bill for the initial visit. Said it was for "a brief exam". I had expressed my concern about bringing my dog back for suture removal because he is highly reactive in the car and I would remove them myself Basically it was implied they I could not remove them myself. So I brought him back and then they charged me $55. A no-show appointment is $30 and canceled appointment is $30. Could have saved myself and my dog the stress of the trip and done it myself.

As a local Pet Hospital, Morena Pet Hospital likely provides a variety of veterinary services aimed at promoting the health and well-being of pets in the San Diego community.
Details regarding the specific environment of Morena Pet Hospital are not extensively available online. However, as a standard Pet Hospital, it is expected to maintain a clean and organized facility to ensure the comfort and safety of animal patients and their owners. This typically includes examination rooms where veterinarians can conduct consultations and examinations, a treatment area for administering medications and performing minor procedures, and potentially surgical suites and recovery areas for more involved medical interventions. The overall ambiance would ideally be calming to minimize stress for animals visiting the clinic.
The services offered at Morena Pet Hospital, as a general practice Pet Hospital, are likely to encompass a range of essential veterinary care. These typically include routine wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative health care and early detection of potential health issues in pets. Vaccinations, tailored to the specific needs and risks of each animal, are a fundamental aspect of their service. Parasite prevention and control, addressing common issues like fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites, would also be a standard offering.
Diagnostic services are essential for a Pet Hospital, and Morena Pet Hospital likely provides tools such as in-house laboratory testing (including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams) to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. Imaging capabilities, such as digital radiography (X-rays), may also be available to visualize internal structures and assist in identifying injuries or illnesses. Depending on the scope of their practice, they might also offer ultrasound services for more detailed internal imaging.
Surgical services can range from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. The availability of advanced surgical procedures would depend on the specialization and facilities of Morena Pet Hospital. Dental care is another important aspect of pet health, and services such as teeth cleaning, dental examinations, and treatment for dental diseases are commonly offered at pet hospitals.
Features of Morena Pet Hospital, based on the limited online information, present a mixed picture. One customer review expresses negative experiences regarding staff rudeness, questioning the validity of vaccination records, and the cost associated with a brief post-surgical suture removal. This review also highlights a strict policy regarding appointment cancellations and no-shows. These points suggest potential inconsistencies in customer service and clarity regarding certain service charges.
In contrast, another customer offers high praise for Dr. Lindsey, describing her as "the best vet," kind, knowledgeable, and possessing a great sense of humor. This review also commends the entire staff for their care of the reviewer's cat and notes that the prices at Morena Pet Hospital are the best encountered in San Diego. This positive feedback suggests that the quality of veterinary care provided by Dr. Lindsey and potentially other members of the team is commendable, and that the hospital may offer competitive pricing.
Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided data. To learn about any current promotions, discounts for new clients, or special offers on specific services, it would be best to contact Morena Pet Hospital directly. Pet hospitals sometimes offer seasonal promotions for services like vaccinations or dental cleanings, or introductory offers for new patients.
The customer reviews for Morena Pet Hospital present a dichotomy of experiences. While one review raises concerns about staff interactions and service costs, the other strongly praises Dr. Lindsey and the overall care provided, also noting the affordability of their services. This suggests that while some customers have had negative experiences, others have been highly satisfied with the veterinary care received. Potential clients may want to consider both perspectives when evaluating Morena Pet Hospital and perhaps seek further information or clarification on the points raised in the negative review.
In conclusion, Morena Pet Hospital in San Diego functions as a Pet Hospital offering a range of veterinary services. Customer feedback indicates positive experiences with the veterinary care provided by Dr. Lindsey and the affordability of their services, alongside concerns regarding staff interactions and certain service charges. For local pet owners, Morena Pet Hospital presents a potential option for pet care, but it is advisable to consider the varying customer experiences and perhaps inquire directly about their service policies and pricing for specific procedures.

Feb 28, 2025 · Paula NeelDr. Lindsey is hands down the best vet that I have ever worked with. She is kind, knowledgeable, and most of all has a great sense of humor. I cannot recommend Morena Pet hospital enough. The entire staff cared for my cat and gave him the best treatment possible. The prices here are also the best I have encountered in San Diego by far. I would recommend Dr. Lindsey to everyone I know. Thanks for everything you guys do! Shiro was lucky to be treated by you.
Oct 12, 2024 · Lenise H.I used to really love this vet back in 2018 when I first got my dogs. Since then, they have gone way downhill in every respect. For instance, I brought my dog in for a routine immunization and they wanted to charge me $250 for an allergy shot for his paw licking. I ended up getting it at my new vet for $50. The final straw was when I brought both of my dogs in for separate appointments and one was to have a nail trim. They trimmed the nails of my other dog instead (their confusion was not at all warranted - just not paying attention or caring enough?) who had just had his nails trimmed, literally the day before. He has black claws so I can’t imagine that they didn’t hit every single one of his qwiks, and ever since then he refuses to get his nails trimmed and now I have to muzzle him in order to do so. Prior to this incident, he was completely fine getting his nails trimmed. On top of that, as many others have mentioned, Marcy is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever spoken with and has lacks any apparent empathy for humans or animals.
Sep 17, 2024 · Leah BriaWe found Morena Pet Hospital through multiple friends that bring their pets here too and we’re so glad we found them. The wonderful staff has been caring for our dog for almost four years now. We still see them after moving 20 minutes away and having another vet right up the street from us. For us, the staff’s experience and dedication is the best! Our dog has had some issues lately that required testing and lots of follow up. The doctors did a really good job explaining the problem and laying out our options. We appreciate the time they take to thoroughly walk us through the situation (twice they’ve called at 6pm on a Friday to make sure we didn’t have to wait the weekend)!! And they genuinely care about the animals they care for.
Aug 12, 2024 · Cory IllemanWe moved to the San Dieogo area about 4 years ago with our family of pets (dogs and cats). Based on the recommendation from several people we decided to try Morena. After our first well animal check up, we knew we had received a fantastic recommendation. We have now utilized Morena the amazing doctors and staff for a wide variety of services....from well animal care to end of life care and support. Each of these services could not of been managed in a more timely one on one personable and professional manner. I am now the person who recommends to all friends and beyond Morena for all other pet family members. Thank you Morena you are the best in the business in San Diego and beyond!
