Dr. Suzanne Barnes consistently gives exceptional care to our 7 year old standard poodle. Jovi was recently diagnosed with a second autoimmune disorder. She spent quality time during each exam to ensure the best treatment. She has demonstrated the qualities that make her an excellent doctor by quickly and accurately diagnosing our girl and prescribing effective treatment that is helping her live her best life! They provide necessary treatments to continue care at home, which helps in maintaining Luna's health between visits. **Suggestions for Improvement:** - **Pre-Visit Coordination for Preventatives:** While the take-home preventive treatments are beneficial, it would be significantly more convenient if these could be provided in advance. Currently, obtaining these treatments necessitates an additional visit, incurring extra fees, which seems an area ripe for optimization. - **Transparency in Treatment:** I've noted that during visits, pets are taken to the back for their shots, away from the owner's view. While I trust the professionalism of the Mixxed Pet team, having the option for these to be administered in the owner's presence could offer reassurance and peace of mind. It’s understandable there may be valid reasons for the current approach, but an option for owner visibility could be comforting. - **Education on Risks and Signs:** After one of the treatments, specifically the flea and tick prevention combo, Luna exhibited unusual behavior that raised concerns about seizures. We took our mini golden doodle for the first time yesterday. The entire staff is so nice and the Doctor is very thorough. We will definitely be bringing our Lola back!

Excellent experience! Even though it was our first time at this office I truly felt like Dr. Schoolmeester loved and cared for my dog. He answered my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction that I actually think I learned something about what's been ailing my fur-child. So happy to have been referred into this practice.
