Absolutely love everyone there . We have many pets and they have taken fantastic care of all of them for all different issues
Apr 22, 2025 · Roxanne SteckI cannot say enough good things about Millersport Small Animal hospital and Dr. Malo! I have had nothing but the best care and experience with them with 2 different dogs now which I am going to share about below; When I first found Millersport it was because my elderly small breed dog had open pyometra which can be life threatening if not treated in a timely manner. We first took her to Wheatfield Small Animal hospital where they were terrible. Basically told us we had to pay almost $6k or she will die, and Unfortunately we couldn’t afford that. I posted in my local community group on Facebook and had multiple people recommend Millersport, along with a couple other clinics. We called in order of distance from us only to be turned away the second we said pyometra. Next on our list was Millersport and they were so kind. They gave us an appointment immediately for our Mini the next day, they even gave us a round about cost of surgery if they confirmed pyometra at the appt so we were prepared and it was a fraction of the price of Wheatfield which wouldn’t even confirm pyometra without $6k down for the surgery. It was such a breath of fresh air and relief of stress during a horrible time. The next day they saw mini and had her set up for surgery the fallowing day. She did great during surgery, recovered well and was happy and healthy running around within a week. Unfortunately almost 2 months later she got fatally ill again, some sort of respiratory illness which Dr Malo did everything he could to help her without making her final days completely stressful and stuck at a hospital away from home. You have no idea how much that means to us. She passed at home with her family and when it was time to bring her in everyone was amazing and kind. Even the office has a sort of home like feel unlike the cold clinics I’ve been to before. I now have a larger breed pup that I adopted from a local rescue, her name is Lunala and we love her to pieces. We brought her to Millersport to be spayed instead of the free clinic with the rescue because of how much we trust them. Unfortunately over the past month she (and many of her littermates) began showing signs of a genetic condition in the knees called Luxating Patella. My poor baby has it in both knees and we had to take her in for a full orthopedic X-ray and sedated exam about a week before Christmas. We were so worried because she kept limping on and off and we had to keep helping her straighten her legs so her patellas would go back in place. Dr Malo left for Vacation right before the radiology report came back and he still called me on a Saturday while he was on his Christmas Break to let me know that the radiology report came back with no significant findings so we could actually enjoy our Christmas knowing it was just MLP going on with our pup and not an injury causing it or something more severe. He then called me the first day back in the office and answered all my questions (and I had alot of them) and he very well could have sold us a surgery right then and there but instead prescribed meds and said he wants to wait until she is done growing before considering surgery if it’s even needed. He reassured me that only 10% of dogs with LP end up needing surgery and that is often based on pain level. Lunala has been on meds for a week now and doing sooo much better. I know she’s still not in the clear and may need surgery in the future but I’m so thankful to Dr Malo and everyone at Millersport. All the staff members are great. The front desk staff all remember us and the vet techs are all amazing with dogs and do a great job explaining everything at pick up when being discharged after surgery or sedated testing. They are very fast with sending records over to my pet insurance too. Just the other day I called with a medication question and Dr Malo got right on the phone to help me so I could make sure I was giving my puppy the right dose. I am so glad I found Millersport, I highly recommend their clinic, and I now refuse to go anywhere else.
Jan 14, 2025 · Brooke MillerMillersport Small Animal Hospital is absolutely amazing! Dr. Malo truly goes above and beyond for both pets and their owners. He takes the time to listen to your concerns, conducts a thorough examination, and carefully walks you through all treatment options, explaining everything in detail. His knowledge and expertise are unmatched, and he is the first vet I feel has provided my dog with the absolute best care possible. I couldn’t ask for a better experience for my pet, and I highly recommend Millersport Small Animal Hospital to anyone looking for compassionate and exceptional veterinary care.
Apr 22, 2025 · Terissa SDon't call they put you on hold for 20 minutes. Dr Malo stated they are short staffed because no Vets want to work there. My dog needed updated vaccines. I called they put me on hold. Then when I said I really didn't have 20 minutes to wait. They said that I wasn't a priority. So don't go there avoid it like the plague.
May 20, 2025 · J Anthony MarguccioWe heard from our friends speaking so highly about Dr. Malo and we decided to come here as well. It’s our first time having a pet and Dr Malo answered all our questions, gave the needed vaccine and also preventative medication for our dog. In addition, Dr. Malo performed the surgery on our dog and everything went so well. Our dog is fully recovered now and we can’t to go see Dr. Malo again!
