I’ve been taking my 4 dogs, my cat and even my goat here to see the veterinarians. I have always had a good experience. I appreciate the no nonsense care, education, and reasonable prices. The receptionists are always helpful. We had an emergency recently with our dog, getting stuck in the cattle panel causing her pretty severe injury. She needed some immediate stitches under anesthesia, pain management and antibiotic. They were able to get her in right away and take care of her the best way possible for a positive outcome. I really respect and look to Dr. Burns who has been outstanding to care for my lovies. Thank you!

Customer reviews offer insights into the environment, services, and features of this veterinary practice, providing a mixed but informative perspective for potential local users.

One long-term customer expresses consistent satisfaction, stating, "I’ve been taking my 4 dogs, my cat and even my goat here to see the veterinarians. I have always had a good experience." This reviewer appreciates the "no nonsense care, education, and reasonable prices" offered at Midway Veterinary Hospital. They also commend the receptionists for being "always helpful," suggesting a positive and efficient front office experience.

Another customer recounts a recent emergency situation involving their dog getting injured. They were able to bring their dog in "right away" and receive immediate care, including stitches under anesthesia, pain management, and antibiotics. This reviewer expresses respect and gratitude for "Dr. Burns who has been outstanding to care for my lovies," highlighting the positive outcome of the emergency treatment and the expertise of the veterinarian.

However, a contrasting review presents a significant point of concern for potential new patients. This reviewer states, "There is almost no point of this place being open considering they won’t accept new patients." They describe calling the emergency line due to their cat being in extreme pain and being redirected to a vet in Portland. This information, if accurate and ongoing, is crucial for local users seeking a new primary veterinary care provider or emergency services.

Based on the positive reviews, Midway Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of essential veterinary services, characterized by a practical approach, reasonable pricing, and a capable medical team, particularly highlighting Dr. Burns. These services likely include:

  • General Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups for various types of animals, as indicated by the care provided for dogs, cats, and even a goat.
  • Vaccinations and Preventative Care: Essential services to protect pets from common diseases and parasites.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: Addressing a range of medical conditions in different animal species.
  • Surgical Procedures: The emergency case involving stitches under anesthesia indicates the capacity for surgical interventions.
  • Emergency Care: The positive emergency experience suggests they can handle urgent situations for established patients, though the negative review raises questions about their policy on new emergency patients.
  • Pain Management: Providing necessary pain relief for animals undergoing procedures or recovering from injuries.

Promotional information is not mentioned in the provided text. Veterinary hospitals may occasionally offer promotions for specific services or to attract new clients, but there is no such information available for Midway Veterinary Hospital in these reviews. Local users might inquire directly about any current offers or wellness plans.

The customer reviews for Midway Veterinary Hospital present a somewhat contradictory picture for potential new clients. While established customers appreciate the practical care, reasonable prices, and the expertise of veterinarians like Dr. Burns, the report of not accepting new patients, even in an emergency, is a significant deterrent. Local users seeking a new veterinary home should verify the clinic's current policy on accepting new patients before considering them for routine or emergency care. The positive experiences of long-term clients suggest a capable and caring practice for those they currently serve.

In conclusion, Midway Veterinary Hospital in Warren, OR, has garnered positive feedback from long-term clients regarding their practical approach to care, reasonable prices, and the expertise of their veterinarians, particularly Dr. Burns. They appear to be responsive in emergency situations for their existing patients. However, a concerning report indicates that they may not be accepting new patients, even for emergencies, redirecting such cases to other facilities. Local users should contact Midway Veterinary Hospital at (503) 397-6470 to ascertain their current policy on accepting new patients before relying on them for their pet's healthcare needs.

So happy to take our dog to Midway!!! The entire crew is loving, helpful and knowledgeable. Whether I call with a quick question or take my dog in for an appointment, I always feel supported and that they have my dog's best interest at heart. Our dog loves going to the vet--that says everything!!! :)
