Doc Steele is a gem. He is a little old fashioned, no nonsense, logical and also thorough, honest, kind, caring and patient. I'll forever appreciate him immensely for trying to save my coliced 32 year old gelding a couple months ago. We both knew the odds were against us but he went out of his way to help everyday for 5 days straight. Ultimately I did have to say goodbye to my old paint who went downhill late on the 5th day. I didn't want to ask doc to come all the way to us late in the night just to euthanize so I called a closer, certain large equine vet in wentzville, and regret it... terrible manners, no compassion, and a large bill for a 20 second exam and euthanasia. Anyways, I wish I had just called Doc because I know he would have made it and wouldn't have made me feel like a terrible person. He's a bit far for me but I'll always go to Doc Steele for our equine veterinary needs. Thank you Doc
