I made an appointment to bring our rabbit in for an exam. Five minutes into the pre-exam, the tech walked out, and returned several minutes later saying 'we can't see your pet'. When i asked why, she mentioned the vet said it was due to a 'previous incident'. The tech apologized & said she missed a note in the computer. When I asked if I could speak to the vet to discuss, I was told she was 'in surgery'. I had to collect our rabbit, put him back into the cage and drive home. I have not been to this vet in many years, and other than questioning a charge perhaps 7 years ago, cannot think of why I was refused service. I checked my social media reviews and could not find anything that I posted about this business, so I left more befuddled rather than angry. There have been some prior incidents where we verbally (politely) criticized them for failing to place critical pain prescriptions as promised (then having to run across town to another vet to have them filled), but why doing such would result in being banned, then refusing to even discuss the matter is highly unprofessional. I made an appointment to Avian & Exotic Animal Care where he was seen 2 days later, the downside being having to drive 45 mins vs 5.

Based on available information, Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic positions itself as a facility capable of handling not only common household pets but also a variety of exotic animals. This dual focus suggests a team with a broad spectrum of expertise, equipped to address the unique health needs of different species. For local users in Singapore seeking a pet hospital that can potentially cater to a wide array of animals, understanding the scope of services offered by such a clinic in another region can provide insights into the possibilities within their own local pet care landscape.

While specific details about the clinic's environment are not explicitly available online, the fact that it is situated within the Harris Teeter Shopping Center suggests accessibility and potentially a comfortable waiting area for pet owners. Reputable veterinary clinics typically prioritize a clean and welcoming environment to minimize stress for both pets and their owners. Examination rooms are usually equipped with the necessary tools for diagnostics and basic procedures, and for a clinic specializing in exotic animals, one might expect specialized enclosures and equipment to safely and effectively handle different species.

The services offered at Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic likely encompass a range of essential veterinary care for pets. These generally include routine check-ups and wellness examinations, vaccinations to prevent common diseases, parasite prevention and treatment, and dental care to maintain oral health. For sick or injured animals, the clinic would likely offer diagnostic services such as blood tests, imaging (like X-rays), and potentially ultrasound. Minor surgical procedures, wound care, and management of chronic conditions are also standard offerings at most veterinary hospitals.

Given its specialization in exotic animals, Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic likely provides services tailored to the unique needs of these creatures. This could include species-specific health assessments, nutritional counseling relevant to different exotic diets, specialized housing and environmental recommendations, and treatment for diseases and injuries common in non-traditional pets. The mention of avian and reptile care in a customer review further supports this aspect of their services. For pet owners in Singapore with exotic pets, knowing that such specialized care exists elsewhere highlights the importance of finding local veterinarians with similar expertise.

Features that might distinguish Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic could include the availability of specialized equipment for exotic animal diagnostics and treatment, a team of veterinarians and technicians with specific training and experience in handling and caring for non-traditional species, and potentially a network of referral specialists for complex cases. The positive review mentioning their help with a 13ft reticulated python suggests a level of comfort and expertise in dealing with even large and potentially challenging exotic animals.

However, it is important to consider all available information, including customer reviews, to gain a balanced perspective. One review details a negative experience where a pet owner was refused service for their rabbit due to a 'previous incident' that was not clearly explained. The reviewer expressed frustration at the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused. This incident raises concerns about the clinic's communication practices and their handling of past issues with clients. It is crucial for any pet owner to feel that their concerns are heard and addressed professionally.

On the other hand, another review provides a glowing account of their experience with a large reptile, praising the "amazing service" and "more than fair price." This positive feedback highlights the clinic's capability in handling exotic animals and suggests that many customers have positive experiences with their services. The willingness of a satisfied customer to recommend the clinic and even appreciate their help in naming their pet indicates a high level of satisfaction with the care provided in that instance.

Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided text. Typically, veterinary clinics might promote services such as seasonal vaccinations, senior pet wellness packages, dental health month specials, or discounts for new clients. To learn about any current promotions at Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic, one would need to visit their website (if available) or contact them directly.

In summary, Middle Creek Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Animal Clinic in Raleigh, NC, appears to be a pet hospital with a notable specialization in exotic animal care alongside services for traditional pets. While one customer review raises concerns about communication and client relations, another highlights positive experiences with their exotic animal expertise. For local users in Singapore, this case study illustrates the importance of considering both the range of services offered and the overall customer experience when choosing a veterinary care provider. It also underscores the value of specialized care for non-traditional pets and the need for clear and professional communication between veterinary staff and pet owners. Further research, such as looking for a website or additional reviews, would be beneficial for a more comprehensive understanding of the clinic's current practices and environment.

Took our cat there a year or two ago and they respected our boundaries for treatment. Were very kind. Was told the cat most likely had a terminal diagnosis, but that turned out not to be the case. Did not hold that against the practice in any way, since the cat couldn't tell us what was really going on. Did call several times regarding lab work and it took then a while to call back with results. Recently, we have called twice in 2 days and left voicemails and no return calls. This is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to find treatment as soon as possible. Our cat already has extreme anxiety about leaving the house and to get established at a new clinic would just be additional stress. Wish the clinic was more responsive, will probably be trying to find a new vet

Completely blown away by this gem of a practice! The environment Dr. Swan and her team have created is one of warmth, welcome, compassion, patience, and joy for animals and their human families alike! From fantastic communication over text and email, to giving my toddler crayons and animal pictures to color while we waited, from sitting on the floor during our entire appointment to make our dog - the star of the visit - feel comfortable and safe, to providing upfront, transparent, and competitive pricing - and above all, their clear dedication and passion for the health, safety, and well-being of all in their care, we could not have been more impressed or delighted by our first visit. HIGHLY recommend!
