Brought in a new dog made sure they knew it was a rescue and requested a thorough checkup. They missed three things which should have been found in the checkup. Instead they decided the dog needed all kinds of testing and without being able to really explain why. Took the dog to a more reputable vet that found 3 minor issues through the basic office visit and besides the 3 small things the dog is in great health. This guy is a screwball and my advice to you is to go elsewhere or don鈥檛 and regret it.

Customer reviews offer valuable insights into the experiences of other pet owners who have visited Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. One recent review expressed significant dissatisfaction with the thoroughness of a new dog's initial checkup. The reviewer claimed that three minor issues were missed during this checkup, while the hospital recommended extensive testing without clear explanations. This individual subsequently sought care from another veterinarian who reportedly identified these three minor issues during a basic office visit and found the dog to be otherwise healthy. Based on this experience, the reviewer strongly advised others to seek veterinary care elsewhere, describing one of the veterinarians as a "screwball." This negative feedback highlights a potential concern regarding the thoroughness of examinations and the clarity of diagnostic recommendations.
In contrast, another customer shared a highly positive experience, specifically praising Dr. Weber as "the best." This reviewer expressed gratitude for the care their dog, Cowboy, consistently receives from Dr. Weber. Furthermore, they commended the entire team/staff for their patience, kindness, and loving demeanor when interacting with pet owners. The reviewer specifically mentioned an employee named Eva, who they noted is skilled at handling their dog, who does not get along with other animals. This positive review also highlighted the "inexpensive prices" as a significant benefit and concluded with a strong recommendation for Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital due to the team and affordability.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it appears that experiences at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital can vary. While one customer reported issues with the initial examination and communication, another praised Dr. Weber and the staff for their excellent care, patience, and affordability. Local users seeking a Pet Hospital may want to weigh these different perspectives when making their decision.
As a Pet Hospital, Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital likely offers a range of essential veterinary services. These typically include general wellness examinations, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and basic diagnostic procedures. Given the mention of recommended testing in one of the reviews, it can be inferred that the hospital has some diagnostic capabilities, although the specifics were not detailed. It is also common for Pet Hospitals to offer treatment for common illnesses and injuries.
The positive review mentioning Dr. Weber suggests that the expertise and demeanor of the veterinarians are key features of the hospital. The praise for the staff's patience and kindness indicates a commitment to providing a supportive and caring environment for both pets and their owners. The mention of "inexpensive prices" could be a significant feature for budget-conscious pet owners in the Santa Ana area, suggesting that Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital strives to offer affordable veterinary care.
Promotional information was not provided in the given text. However, Pet Hospitals sometimes offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal specials on certain services (like dental cleanings or vaccinations), or wellness packages that bundle essential preventative care services at a reduced cost. Local users interested in Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital may want to inquire directly about any current promotions or special offers when contacting the hospital.
In conclusion, Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Santa Ana, CA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one reviewer expressed strong concerns about the thoroughness of care and communication, another praised Dr. Weber and the staff for their excellent and affordable service. Local pet owners may find value in the reported kindness and patience of the staff and the potentially inexpensive prices. However, the negative feedback regarding the initial checkup should also be considered. It is advisable for potential clients to communicate their specific needs and expectations clearly when contacting the hospital and perhaps seek further information or testimonials to make an informed decision about their pet's care.

Mar 28, 2025 路 Rick S.Dr. Weber is the best! He always takes care of my Cowboy. Not only is Dr. Weber great but his team/staff really helps a lot too! They deal with all the crazy animal lovers like myself and deserve 5 stars because they are always patient, kind, and loving. Eva always knows how to handle my handsome hunk since he doesn't get along with other dogs! I would highly recommend because of the team there and inexpensive prices. Thank you Metropolitan Vet!馃惥馃挍馃惗
May 22, 2019 路 Ashana BreeDr Weber and his staff are great! He's simply brilliant, and he's able to explain complicated concepts/ diagnoses easily and in a very understandable way. I know he truly loves every pet he takes under his care. I feel not only safe when I bring my boys to him, I feel blessed to be able to. The staff are all very sweet, as are his technicians. It's a wonderful place all around.
Jun 05, 2024 路 Claudette SabanWanted rabies vaccines for my cats and I called ahead was told $86 per vaccine and no exam needed. I get there place isn鈥檛 very clean, I had to wait forever only to be told I need to pay for exam for each cat. Total would be over $100 per cat. I left! Looked for a different clinic who only charged me $11 for the vaccine and there was an exam fee but it was only $25 a lot cheaper and the place was cleaner.
Jan 09, 2025 路 Nubia ChavarriaThe owners David and Lindsay are amazing! The two of them are a wonderful couple who loves their employees and customers. Also their staff is so professional and outgoing I'm so lucky to have them in my life as friends that I consider my family! Thanks Metro!
