Last evening I decided it was time to send my beloved Phoebe to Heaven. She was 14 years old & survived with cancer for 4 years. Her mast cell had unfortunately came back even after surgery. But Dr. Dawn got Phoebe on a regimen of Prednisone, Famotidine, and Benadryl. Phoebe had 4 more amazing years with me because of Dr. Dawn’s expertise & care. Our pugs are our life. We entrust Metro & Dr. Dawn with our most precious family members. There was no one else I wanted to have help me send Phoebe peacefully to Heaven. Dr. Dawn and her team were so kind & genuine. They ensured everything was peaceful. Dr. Dawn reassured me that this was the right decision for Phoebe as her cancer had spread to her gum line where she had a mass pop up almost overnight. It had begun to bleed as we were sitting there. It was clearly time. I didn’t want my best friend to suffer. She had an extremely long amazing life for a pug, and I thank Dr. Dawn and her team for being such a crucial part of giving her that opportunity. If I could have kept her young and healthy forever, I would have. Their team ensured my wishes regarding Phoebe will be followed in her afterlife care. They assured me that Phoebe will be cremated separately & that extreme care goes into ensuring each beloved pet is brought back home to their loved ones when that is the wish of the family. There is no other veterinary clinic I would trust with my babies more, than Metro & Dr. Dawn. Thank you for everything. 💜 Amy Lillie

Metro Animal Hospital Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of Metro Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located in Schofield, Wisconsin, USA. For local users seeking veterinary care, understanding the environment, services, and features of a pet hospital is crucial. Metro Animal Hospital, situated at 5703 Camp Phillips Rd, Schofield, WI 54476, can be contacted at phone number (715) 241-7387 or mobile phone +1 715-241-7387. While specific details about the clinic's physical environment are not extensively described in the provided information, pet hospitals typically offer a clean and spacious facility to accommodate various veterinary services, including examination rooms, and potentially surgical and diagnostic areas.

The available information includes two contrasting customer reviews that offer insights into the services and atmosphere of Metro Animal Hospital. One review is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the compassionate and expert care provided, particularly by Dr. Dawn. This customer recounts their experience with their 14-year-old pug, Phoebe, who survived with cancer for four years thanks to a regimen prescribed by Dr. Dawn. When the time came to say goodbye, the reviewer chose Metro Animal Hospital to help Phoebe pass peacefully, emphasizing the kindness and genuineness of Dr. Dawn and her team. The review also praises their attention to aftercare wishes, ensuring respectful cremation. This customer expresses complete trust in Metro Animal Hospital and Dr. Dawn for the care of their pets.

The second review presents a more negative perspective. This customer expresses dissatisfaction with the clinic's ability to interpret a pregnancy confirmation ultrasound, suggesting appointments were scheduled too early to be valuable. They also mention a lack of documentation for blood tests (specifically progesterone) and describe a "terrible 'bedside manner'" from the vets. While acknowledging that the facility is clean and spacious, this reviewer concluded, based on their experiences, that the clinic comes off as "anti breeder."

Considering these reviews, Metro Animal Hospital appears to offer a range of veterinary services. The positive review highlights expertise in managing chronic conditions like cancer and providing compassionate end-of-life care, including cremation arrangements. This suggests that services such as internal medicine, palliative care, and euthanasia are likely offered with a focus on the pet's and owner's comfort. The mention of Dr. Dawn's regimen of medication indicates pharmaceutical services are also part of their offerings. On the other hand, the negative review points to services related to reproduction (pregnancy confirmation ultrasounds, progesterone testing) where this customer experienced issues with scheduling, documentation, and the veterinarian's demeanor.

Based on the positive feedback, a key feature of Metro Animal Hospital seems to be the compassionate and expert care provided by Dr. Dawn and her team, especially in sensitive situations like end-of-life care. The trust expressed by a long-term client underscores the potential for strong veterinarian-client-patient relationships. However, the negative review suggests potential inconsistencies in other areas, such as reproductive services and communication.

There is no promotional information available in the provided text. Pet hospitals may sometimes offer introductory discounts for new clients or specific deals on certain services, but no such information is mentioned for Metro Animal Hospital in these reviews.

In summary, Metro Animal Hospital in Schofield, WI, is portrayed as a Pet Hospital that is highly regarded by at least one long-term client for its compassionate care and the expertise of Dr. Dawn, particularly in managing chronic illnesses and providing peaceful end-of-life services. However, another customer reported negative experiences related to reproductive services, documentation, and bedside manner. For local users, Metro Animal Hospital presents itself as a place where compassionate care may be a strong suit, but potential clients might want to consider the concerns raised in the negative review, especially if seeking specific services like reproductive care. To gain a more complete understanding, contacting the hospital directly for information about their full range of services and their approach to patient care may be beneficial.

Don’t know how to read a pregnancy confirmation ultrasound. Schedule such appointments too early for it to have any value. No printout or documentation of blood tests ( in my case progesterone)Terrible “bedside manner” from the vets. Facility is clean and spacious but when I’ve added up my experiences there they come off as anti breeder.

Have been taking my dog here for years and find Metro Vet staff to be thorough, friendly, and very informative. The waiting area and exams are super clean as well. Highly recommended!

I called about every veterinarian in Wausau to get my cat in. But I got told that either they weren’t taking any new patients or I would have to wait until 4-6 weeks before I could get my cat in. Then I called Metro Animal Hospital and got seen. I wanted them to check my cat over then ask them if it was time to euthanize her or not. They were wonderful. After taking down the history the vet came in and agreed that it was time. They also organized with Peaceful Pines to have Patches cremated. We got to hold her during the whole time . Good bye Patches. Now you can once again play with Oscar and Chester on the Rainbow Bridge.😹

My precious baby girl Patches had lost weight, slept a lot and would not eat, drink or use the litter box. I called several veterinary clinics to be told I would have to wait until January 2024 . I knew she was dying and in a lot of pain. I called Metro Animal Hospital and I got in that day. It broke my heart and my mental health took a dive. The staff here are fantastic and when I get another cat I will bring it there.
