TL;DR: my dog went without meds because MFV was unable to fulfill orders and didn't inform their customers about the delay. I placed an order using the online refill form (the second time I've used the form) on 2/20 and got an email saying that the medicine would be made and shipped out in the next 1-2 business days. MFV contacted me and said my order couldn't be processed until I called them back. Weird, but ok. I called them back on 2/27 and gave them my credit card info again, which seemed to be the holdup. My credit card was charged on 2/28. On 3/10, I called to check on my order status. I was told that the sterile room needed maintenance and they hadn't been able to make any meds back there. My understanding was that the room was now fixed, and I was told the medicine would "hopefully go out today or tomorrow." On 3/17, I called to check on my order again. I was again told that the facility was down for maintenance "for a few days" and that they were "working on it" and that it would hopefully ship out in a few days. I said that wasn't good enough - I was told the same thing last week, I was out of meds and really needed a refill. They offered me free overnight shipping after the meds were made, which is a nice gesture but doesn't get the meds created any faster or give me a delivery date I can plan around. On 3/19, I cancelled the order and got my vet to transfer the prescription to Stokes. I understand that sometimes there are facility issues. I'm not upset about that, and I'm sure they were backed up if the facility was (is?) down for that long. I am upset that they did not communicate this issue to their customers. If you are unable to fulfill orders in the promised timeframe, you should immediately contact any customers with orders in limbo, tell them their orders are delayed, and give them a good faith estimate of when their orders will ship, with further updates as needed. If you make chess boards and fail to communicate about delayed orders, that would be bad, but it's completely unacceptable when you are making medicine that our furry family members rely on to stay healthy. If someone had contacted me promptly about the delay, I would have called my vet and gotten an alternate treatment plan for my dog right away. But because I'd gotten an email confirmation that the order was processing, because my my credit card was charged, and then because I was told they were working on it and I'd have it soon, I waited. I trusted Med For Vets to provide reliable service and reliable information about my order status, and I don't feel like I've gotten either of those things, at the expense of my dog's treatment plan. Right now, there is no mention of shipping delays on their website, on their social media (the ones I can see anyway), or on their online order form. If they were so backed up they couldn't get my order out in almost 3 weeks, you'd think they would be proactively letting people placing new orders know about the delay.

Welcome to Meds for Vets
Meds for Vets, located at 9550 State St, Sandy, UT 84070, USA, operates as a pharmacy specializing in medications for animals. Serving the local community and beyond, they can be contacted at phone number (801) 255-7666 or mobile phone +1 801-255-7666. As a pet pharmacy, Meds for Vets aims to provide a convenient way for pet owners to access prescribed medications for their animals.
The services offered by Meds for Vets typically include the dispensing of veterinary prescription medications. Pet owners, upon receiving a prescription from their veterinarian, can utilize Meds for Vets to have these prescriptions filled. This service is intended to streamline the process of obtaining necessary medications for pets, potentially offering a specialized focus on animal health needs.
Based on the information available, it's important for potential customers to be aware of recent feedback regarding Meds for Vets' service. Several customer reviews indicate significant issues with order fulfillment and communication. One customer detailed a prolonged delay in receiving their pet's medication, spanning nearly a month, without proactive communication from Meds for Vets regarding the reason for the delay. This lack of communication reportedly led to the pet going without necessary medication, causing concern for the pet owner. The customer also noted that despite the delay, their credit card was charged, and follow-up calls and emails to inquire about the order status went unanswered for a period.
Another review echoed similar concerns, citing a delay in order fulfillment, charges to the credit card without the medication being shipped, and a lack of response to inquiries about the order status. This customer also emphasized the critical nature of timely medication delivery for pets and the importance of transparent communication from the pharmacy in case of any delays or issues.
These reviews suggest that while Meds for Vets operates as a pet pharmacy providing veterinary medications, there may be challenges in their current operational efficiency, particularly concerning order processing and customer communication. Potential customers should take these recent experiences into consideration when deciding whether to use Meds for Vets for their pet medication needs. It is advisable to inquire about current processing times and communication protocols before placing an order to ensure a smooth and reliable service experience.
While specific details about the pharmacy's environment are not provided in the given information, a typical pharmacy setting involves a dispensing area where medications are prepared and checked, as well as storage for pharmaceutical products. For a pet-specific pharmacy, this environment would be geared towards handling veterinary medications, which may have specific storage or handling requirements.
The features of a pet pharmacy like Meds for Vets could potentially include online prescription refills, mail-order delivery of medications, and possibly compounding services for specialized formulations (though this was the source of the delay mentioned in one review). The convenience of ordering pet medications online and having them delivered can be a significant advantage for pet owners. However, the recent reviews highlight the critical need for these features to be supported by reliable order fulfillment and effective communication.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Meds for Vets. It would be beneficial for potential customers to directly inquire with Meds for Vets about any ongoing promotions, discounts, or special offers that might be available.
In conclusion, Meds for Vets in Sandy, Utah, functions as a pharmacy focused on providing medications for pets. While they offer the convenience of prescription fulfillment and potentially mail-order services, recent customer feedback indicates potential challenges related to order delays and communication. It is recommended that prospective customers contact Meds for Vets directly to gain current information about their services and operational status before placing an order.

Mar 21, 2025 路 Linda GreenI am having the EXACT same problems as Linda Green. Placed refill order 3/14. Meds For Vets promptly sent confirmation of request. 3/21 I reached out about status of order and received no response. 3/22 Meds For Vets billed my credit card. 3/24 I called Meds For Vets on the phone, got no answer. Left a voicemail, got no response. Sent email, no response. This is bad business practice. Things happen, but if they are having issues filling orders, LET THE CUSTOMER KNOW so that they can make other arrangements. My pet was not out of medication 2 weeks ago, when I put in my refill request, but now they are.
Mar 25, 2025 路 LizAngelique is amazing! I cannot thank her enough for letting me bring in the hardcopy of my cat's prescription and getting it filled within an hour. My cat had a pretty big surgery yesterday. The vet had 3 out of the 4 meds, and sent me here to get the 4th one filled. I think Angelique could see the concern on my face, so she did everything possible to help me. While waiting, she offered me water or a soda. I even got treats in the prescription bag! 馃ぃ. I highly recommend this place if you ever need a prescription for your pet or need something compounded.
Apr 05, 2025 路 Krysta LeeThey charged me twice for my very first order. I called left a message and never heard back. Called again and talked to someone and they didn't have the extra transaction on their account but after looking up my card they seen it and promised a refund. Never got one. Tried calling again and had to leave another message and once again never heard back. So now I'm out an extra $60 for a medication that didn't work.
Dec 14, 2024 路 Michelle RingI received a bill almost 5 months after picking up a prescription sample. When I picked up my pets medication the lady working there assured me there was no charge. When I received this bill I tried calling their billing department for weeks and never got to anyone and always left a message and never received a callback. When I went in store to discuss this the lady working there told me that they have record of me picking up medication and even admitted that it was not the amount that I received. They are adding late fees even though I could not pay for this due to them not answering there phones. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will unfortunately be paying this bogus bill to avoid going to collections but this is absolutely ridiculous and I will not refer anyone here and will happily take mine and my friends business else where.
