My little guy is alive today because of McGrath. After weeks of calling and visiting what felt like every vet in the Valley, I finally found this place. The staff was incredibly caring. They answered the dozens of questions I had and all my phone calls both before and after the appointment without delay. Even though they eventually sent me to a specialist, the vet herself called ahead to explain my dog’s condition and sent over all his medical records before we even got there. We are beyond grateful for their kindness, patience, and sense of urgency.

I've been taking my dog, Bailey, to McGrath since 2022, about six or seven visits. My experience has been extremely positive. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and I have recommended them to my family and friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They always greet Bailey, which I find endearing and reflective of how they view all their customers, be they two or four legged. I appreciate that they explain everything clearly. I never feel rushed during appointments, and they always answer all my questions thoroughly. It's clear they genuinely care about animals and their well-being. When Bailey had kennel cough they were especially patient and supportive, and their treatment plan worked perfectly. The clinic itself is always clean and well-maintained, and their reminders about appointments, via email, are helpful. Overall, McGrath provides excellent care for my dog. I trust them completely and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and skilled veterinarian.

Coco came in very sick, with pancreatitis and newly diagnosed diabetes. McGrath saved his life. Dr. Dhillon and the staff took amazing care of my baby, treating him like their own. Dr. Dhillon took his time explaining everything to me in detail, educating me, and ensuring that I went home without any unanswered questions. He even made himself available to me for follow up messages from home. These people REALLY care about you and your fur babies. They were very considerate about what things cost without compromising Coco’s care. There is no other vet/clinic I would trust and I have been everywhere. HIGHLY recommended don’t go anywhere else and waste time, money, or risk your pets well being you might as well go to the right place FIRST for quality and consistent care. My baby is happy and healthy at home with a plan to keep him that way and I am forever grateful ♥️

Our family adopted our beloved Jetty Wetty five years ago from the East Valley Animal Shelter. As part of the adoption process, the shelter automatically set us up with a "free" visit at a local vet clinic in Sherman Oaks. I thought, Great! A trusted vet clinic! However, that initial visit turned out to be far from "free." While the exam itself may have been covered, additional tests and blood work were recommended, and by the end of the visit, I was handed a bill for a few hundred dollars. Despite my surprise, I trusted the clinic and continued taking our dog there for several years. It wasn’t until my son took his girlfriend’s newly rescued kitten to McGrath Veterinary Center that we discovered this amazing clinic. McGrath is open early and late every day of the week, which made it incredibly convenient. After their positive experience with the kitten, my son suggested we switch our dog’s care to McGrath as well—and I’m so glad we did. We’ve been here several times now, and every visit has been absolutely wonderful. Unlike the previous clinic, where everything felt rushed and chaotic (perhaps due to their direct relationship with the animal shelter making them busier), McGrath offers a much calmer, more personalized experience. When it comes to costs, it’s hard to compare because no treatment is ever exactly the same. However, I’ve come to McGrath for more serious treatments and was pleasantly surprised by their reasonable fees. More importantly, their transparency is something I truly appreciate. At our previous clinic, I was often handed a bill with a list of procedures and a total at the end—no discussion. At McGrath, the process is completely different. They first explain the cost of a procedure and ask if I’m comfortable proceeding. Then, depending on the results, they outline the next steps along with estimated costs before moving forward. I never feel blindsided, only informed and involved in the decision-making process. In the end, it cost me $296 for the visit, the ear swab, ear cleaning and ear medication. I work at a dental practice where we pride ourselves on being open, honest, and ethical (which, unfortunately, is an industry that sometimes suffers from a bad reputation due to shady practices). We also ensure our pricing is fair and transparent, so finding a veterinary clinic that upholds the same values is refreshing. The clinical staff I’ve encountered have been incredibly kind. Dr. Miller, Carolina, and another team member (whose name I unfortunately forgot) all showed the exact level of compassion and professionalism needed in such stressful situations. I have been going to this practice since they opened. They have always taken excellent care of all of our animals. They are thorough and knowledgeable. I never have felt that they do unnecessary tests or try to take advantage like I have felt at other vets. We live at least 45 minutes away without traffic and take all of our 7 animals there.
