Mattawan Animal Hospital

When I needed to get my dogs into the vet, I called around and everyone was booked months out. Then I heard about Mattawan Animal Hospital. So I called them - and they got me in the next week!! The staff here are legit and phenomenal. So friendly, kind, and understanding. Even though I knew my dogs were long overdue for a visit, they didn’t shake or guilt me at all - they were empathetic and kind! And they took all the time I needed to talk to me about what options I had and what made the most sense for my dogs…and they kept talking with me, showing so much patience and grace, until I was ready to make decisions. Oh - and it’s so clear that they love their jobs! Not only are they kind to me, but I love how they love on my dogs, treating them as if they are their own. My dogs Sprout and Shiloh, and I, all agree - this place and staff are awesome! Highly recommend :)

Amazing, caring, respectful, expedient care.. Absolutely 💯 love the staff, love that the dr. Stopped with other patients to give my ava rose the immediate attention it appears she needed.. Extremely pleased with this place.. polite , kind, sper respectful staff.. Thank you so much for allowing me to not only bring ava rose in immediately, but allowing her to stay the day for observation while i finished my truck driving route.. Absolutely love you all...

I've been coming here for nearly 2 decades for treatment & surgeries for my cats. While my 1st 2 cats have passed on after 18 & 20 years, my 2 new sister cats which are now just over a year old have been coming here since I got them. I was really happy to hear that they are still privately owned & have not been bought up by an investment firm. The care all my cats have received is just the best from early beginning to end of life. They work with a pet crematorium that is local and which also made clay impressions of my past to cat's paws & nose along with their names. My parents started using them fir their dogs after I was happy with them & they really liked the service as well.

Nice enough folks, but the quality of care and followup is inconsistent at best. I have two cats, Luke and Leia, registered here who go in for checkups and routine care. Sometimes we don't hear back about important test results. Sometimes they don't correctly put in followup appointments and we have to reschedule because of that. I've seen how they handle our cats and are unnecessarily rough. They get the job done, but if you want consistent quality of care and treatment, I'd go somewhere else.

We've been bringing the fur babies here for many years. Great staff, excellent service, highly recommended! Definitely two thumbs up!

So glad to have found a vet nearby after the ones I had previously been going to closed. They are very reasonably priced and always do their best to get my pets seen as soon as possible
