I took my very sick cat in on June 19th. The vet said several times that she was concerned about my cats breathing but they did the planned procedure anyway. She died later that night. I am not accusing them of contributing to her death but I do not think that it was ethical to say nothing about how poor of a condition she was in. I don't understand why the decision to proceed was made, especially since they knew how I had to beg, borrow, and barter to pay for the treatment, which was nearly $1000. It felt like a money grab to me. I called that very day to tell them the awful way in which Tatiana passed and I didn't get a callback for days. I can't shake the feeling that I was taken advantage of in my vulnerable state.

Welcome to MASH Main St Animal Services

Welcome to MASH Main St Animal Services, a "Pet Hospital" located at 72 W Main St in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. This veterinary care facility aims to provide a range of services for pets in the local community. As a platform category dedicated to animal health, it's essential to offer a comprehensive and objective introduction based on the available information, which in this case includes feedback from recent customers.

Details regarding the specific environment of MASH Main St Animal Services are not provided in the customer reviews. Typically, a pet hospital includes examination rooms, waiting areas for pet owners, surgical suites if applicable, and potentially boarding or recovery areas. The absence of comments on the physical space suggests that it may not have been a primary focus of the provided feedback, either positively or negatively. Local users may wish to inquire directly about the clinic's facilities to gain a better understanding of the environment in which their pets will be treated.

The services offered at MASH Main St Animal Services appear to encompass general veterinary care, including both conventional and potentially alternative therapies. One customer review mentions taking a very sick cat in for a planned procedure. While the outcome was tragic, it indicates that the hospital performs surgical or interventional procedures. The reviewer also mentioned the cost of treatment being nearly $1000, suggesting that they handle significant medical interventions. Another review specifically praises Dr. Margot Roman and mentions the availability of "alternative therapies" provided by her, highlighting this as a unique feature of the practice. This suggests that MASH Main St Animal Services may offer a broader approach to animal wellness beyond traditional medicine. It's important for pet owners interested in such therapies to inquire about the specific types offered and the qualifications of the practitioners.

Features of MASH Main St Animal Services, based on the limited but impactful customer feedback, present a mixed perspective. A significant feature appears to be the presence of Dr. Margot Roman, who is described as a "star" and highly knowledgeable, particularly in the realm of alternative therapies. Her dedication to animals is also emphasized. This positive aspect suggests a strong clinical presence within the practice. However, a concerning feature highlighted in another review is the experience of a pet owner whose cat passed away after a procedure. This review raises questions about communication, ethical considerations regarding proceeding with treatment despite concerns about the animal's condition, and post-operative support and follow-up. The lack of a prompt callback after the pet's death and the feeling of being "taken advantage of" are serious issues raised by this customer. This stark contrast in experiences suggests that while some aspects of the service, particularly those related to Dr. Roman, are highly regarded, there may be inconsistencies in other areas, such as communication, ethical considerations in treatment decisions, and customer service.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for MASH Main St Animal Services in the provided text. Local users interested in learning about the costs of services, any package deals, or introductory offers should contact the hospital directly at (508) 435-4077 or +1 508-435-4077. Given the mention of a significant cost for a procedure in one of the reviews, it would be prudent to inquire about pricing transparency and payment options during a consultation.

In conclusion, MASH Main St Animal Services in Hopkinton, MA, operates as a "Pet Hospital" offering a range of veterinary services, including the notable feature of alternative therapies provided by Dr. Margot Roman, who is highly praised by one customer. However, another customer shared a deeply negative experience involving the death of their cat after a procedure, raising concerns about communication, ethical practices, and customer service. This significant discrepancy in feedback underscores the importance for local users to consider these contrasting experiences carefully. Individuals interested in MASH Main St Animal Services, particularly those seeking alternative therapies or requiring significant medical procedures for their pets, should contact the clinic directly to discuss their specific needs, ask detailed questions about treatment protocols, post-operative care, communication practices, and pricing. It may also be beneficial to seek additional opinions or references to ensure a comfortable and confident choice for their pet's veterinary care. The availability of alternative therapies could be a unique selling point for some, while the serious concerns raised in the other review warrant thorough investigation and consideration.

I took one of my dogs in today for his pre-op. appointment for his neuter next week. My dogs typically see Dr. Roman who we love, so I was hesitant to instead make an appointment with Dr. Soco when the receptionist told me that she is MASH’s lead surgeon because Dr. Roman no longer does surgeries. Needless to say, Dr. Soco is amazing and I couldn’t be happier that I met her! She is so friendly, kind and really took her time to discuss my dog’s pre- and post-operative care, as well as a few other concerns I’ve been having. I love her very holistic, honest and sensible views on pet healthcare and well-being, and she gave me some great tips as well. She is wonderful, as is the rest of the MASH crew! Very highly recommended and totally worth the drive.

Dr. Roman helped give our dog new life, after a bad prognosis from mesothelioma, a heart tumor and pleural effusion a year ago. After another wonderful vet in an ER performed a successful procedure to remove fluid from our dog’s lungs, and letting us know it was a temporary fix, Dr. Roman’s special integrative medicine treatments, herbs and vitamins, and even regular medicines have helped elevate our dog’s immune system , which has resulted in the increase in her quality and length of life. When people see our 14 yr. old dog, they think she is a puppy! We drive two hours each way to her office as well as seeing our regular local vet - A formula that has been working well. When you meet Dr. Roman, you sense her wisdom and her many years of clinical experience, along with her dedication and sincere concern for all of her patients. It’s no wonder she has a big following of other grateful families like ours !
