I don鈥檛 have enough good things to say about Marysville Animal Care center. Dr. Fuehne is absolutely amazing! She answers any questions you may have and addresses all your concerns. We have had our dog in there several times for various things and the staff has never acted like we are annoying or inconveniencing them. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for top quality care for their pets.

I took my dog here on a regular basis when I lived nearby. When she was a puppy she was spade here. Unfortunately the surgery was not done properly. Several years went by before I realized. The spade surgery left my dog鈥檚 ovaries intact allowing estrogen to continuously be produced, which led to mammary gland tumors, and also cancer. She is on her way to her 3rd surgery..which has caused her significant pain for her and thousands of dollars. I asked Marysville Animal Care Center if they would help out when we initially started realizing the issues and I was told no, they are under new ownership. I typically don鈥檛 leave bad reviews but just wanted to share my experience although it probably is rare.

My previous experiences at Marysville Animal Care were wonderful, but today was much different. My puppy had an appointment for the last round of her puppy shots, and rabies vaccine. She has had no previous issues receiving vaccines. Today we did not see the same dr/vet there that we have previously. The vet tech/assistant was holding my puppy and had her ready for the vet to administer the vaccines. The vet was very chat, and delayed giving the vaccines. Eventually puppy started getting nervous, and started to jerk away. She did not attempt to nip or bite. The vet made the quick decision that she did not feel comfortable, and want to reschedule and send her home with medication to sedate her and have me bring her back. I felt this was a little unnecessary, but agreed. When I went to check out I was told I was paying for an office exam and the meds. When I enquired if that meant that I would not be paying for an office exam when I brought puppy back, they stated I would. When I started questioning this the receptionist I was speaking with became very rude. I told them I did not feel this was fair as I did not make the decision to not have the vaccines given today. I spoke with the office manager, who was quite condescending, and apparently didn鈥檛 think I understood why I should be paying for 2 appointments. Ultimately I advised them I would not be bring her back, and made her an appointment elsewhere. I probably would have just paid for everything, had they not been so nasty about the fact I was even questioning it. Given the fact my puppy had been there for all of her other shots, and the other vet there had no issues with her, I believe they made a poor decision standing firm on billing for the visit.

I just recently switched to this office for a routine shots and check-up for my 9 yr old dog which had been diagnosed with gastrointestinal and put on prescription food but continued to worsen with throwing up. I brought her in a week later when she stopped eating/drinking just throwing up, and saw Dr. Gulick, she did a blood test and x-ray which showed a small intestine blockage. She advised to take her straight to the Emergency Vet. I took her to the Emergency Room and after another x-ray, and ultrasound, it indeed was a tumor blocking the intestine and they performed surgery the next day. The surgery to remove the tumor went smoothly and she recovered, unfortunately it was cancerous and also in the lymph gland. Sadly it will return, but she will have the best days until that happens. By going to this Vet office, Dr. Gulick quite simply saved Lucy's life that night and I'm grateful for that, she is much more than a dog, she is family and loved.
