Welcome to Marine Park Veterinary Group
For pet owners in the Marine Park area of Brooklyn, New York, seeking a local "Pet Hospital," Marine Park Veterinary Group is located at 3515 Ave. S, Brooklyn, NY 11234, USA. They can be contacted by phone at (718) 382-9177 or mobile at +1 718-382-9177. Online reviews present a mixed picture of the services and overall experience at this veterinary practice, indicating both positive and negative aspects that potential clients should consider.
One customer review offers high praise for Marine Park Veterinary Group, stating that "Everyone at Marine Park Vet Group is compassionate and caring." This positive feedback highlights a crucial aspect of veterinary care – the empathy and concern shown towards animals. The reviewer specifically mentions their pet, Maisie, having received "the best care" and expresses a strong recommendation, encouraging others to place their "care and trust in them." This testimonial suggests that at least some pet owners have experienced a high level of satisfaction with the veterinary services provided and the demeanor of the staff involved in direct animal care.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience, cautioning others to "Never use this Vet." This negative feedback raises significant concerns about the overall service and customer experience. The reviewer describes the reception staff, specifically "the women who answer the phones in reception," as "completely rude and disrespectful." This indicates a potential issue with the front-of-house service, which can significantly impact a client's perception of the entire practice. Furthermore, this reviewer alleges that the prices are "outrageous" and that on "numerous occasions," the clinic would not attend to their pets, instead advising them to seek care at VERG (Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group) due to their inability to handle certain cases. The reviewer concludes by stating they have "Don't have one good thing to say about this place," which is a strong indictment of their overall experience.
Given these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to definitively describe the environment, services, and features of Marine Park Veterinary Group without further information. However, we can attempt to infer some aspects based on the available feedback:
Environment: The positive review suggests a caring and compassionate environment, at least in the areas where direct animal care is provided. However, the negative review paints a picture of a potentially unwelcoming reception area due to the alleged rudeness of the phone staff. The physical cleanliness and organization of the clinic are not explicitly mentioned in either review, so no conclusions can be drawn about these aspects.
Services: The positive review implies that standard veterinary care is provided, at least for routine or manageable cases. The neutering of a cat in the Ivy Pets - Midwood review (provided in the previous turn) might serve as a general example of a service one would expect at a pet hospital, and this positive reviewer at Marine Park Veterinary Group seems satisfied with the care their pet received. However, the negative review strongly suggests limitations in the types of cases Marine Park Veterinary Group is willing or able to handle, with referrals to VERG being a frequent occurrence. This indicates that their service scope might be narrower than some pet owners might expect from a general veterinary practice. The specific services offered (e.g., vaccinations, dental care, surgery, diagnostics) are not detailed in the provided reviews.
Features: The primary feature highlighted in the positive review is the compassion and caring nature of the staff involved in animal care. This suggests that the veterinarians and veterinary technicians may be a strong asset of the practice. However, the negative review points to a significant potential drawback: the alleged rudeness and disrespect of the reception staff. This inconsistency in staff experience could be a notable feature for potential clients to consider. Another potential feature, implied by the negative review, is a limitation in the range of medical conditions or procedures handled in-house, leading to frequent referrals to emergency or specialty centers like VERG.
Promotional Information: There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. It is unknown whether Marine Park Veterinary Group offers any special deals for new clients, discounts on specific services, or loyalty programs. To obtain such information, interested pet owners would need to contact the clinic directly.
In conclusion, Marine Park Veterinary Group in Brooklyn, NY, presents a mixed reputation based on the limited online reviews provided. One pet owner describes the care as compassionate and excellent, recommending the practice to others. However, another reviewer expresses extreme dissatisfaction, citing rude reception staff, high prices, and a perceived unwillingness or inability to handle a range of pet health issues, leading to frequent referrals. Potential local users searching for a "Pet Hospital Near Me" should be aware of these conflicting experiences. While the veterinary care itself may be satisfactory for some, the reported issues with reception and service limitations are significant factors to consider. It would be prudent for pet owners in the area to perhaps seek additional reviews or contact Marine Park Veterinary Group directly to inquire about their services, pricing, and policies to make an informed decision about their pet's healthcare.

Nov 19, 2024 · stella barberNever use this Vet. Hands down worst Vet service I have ever used or been to. The women who answer the phones in reception are completely rude and disrespectful. The prices are outrageous and on numerous occasions they won't even take you in to see your pets they always tell you to go and take them to VERG because they don't handle that stuff. Don't have one good thing to say about this place.
Feb 24, 2025 · Shannon Van WertI have been going here for over 15 years. Most of my dogs in that time have been huge and all were rescues. They had no problem with my different cane corsos and pit bulls over the years. Always gentle and sweet. When my cane corso passed away, they were so kind and handle everything. Even wouldn’t let me carry him in. They were willing to go to my car and do it for me because I was distraught for sure. I will never go to another vet.
Oct 31, 2023 · Joseph GrilloThis is my 2nd time bringing my cat to this office. Everyone’s friendly and more importantly compassionate. I read some negative reviews about overcharging. I don’t think they overcharge. Exam+blood+urine test =$380. I will keep going to Dr. Montella…
Sep 24, 2024 · Gizem DSO so so bad. Dr. is gruff with humans, rough with pets, dismissive of concernes and doesn't even follow basic vaccination protocols that any idiot would know with the most basic Google search. (And certainly this person who has been running a cat rescue for years has known even long before I was ever in the business.) The cheaper rates are not worth your pets' health and well-being. If your just getting routine work, go to Flatbush Vet. If you need full veterinary services, go a little further to the south slope to Park Slope Veterinary Center. Or even Faithful Friends in Gravesend is better than this guy.
