I had an appointment to neuter my male German Shorthair Pointer, at this appointment he was on the scale to be weighed. However stepped off with his back feet and the tech looked at me and said 30lbs sound good to which I replied absolutely not and I reweighed him and he came up at 72 lbs. Rather a significant difference for a dog who was about to be put under for a surgery. It made me rather uneasy to leave my dog in there care but I was assured they would take good care of him so I left him in there care to be fixed. I received the phone call that his surgery was over and everything went well, during this call they proceeded to let me know they had tested him for Lymes and that he came back positive. As I was trying to ask questions I was told they also tested other animals that morning and were all positive as well and not to worry. I proceeded to let them know I was positive my dog did not have Lymes they got an attitude with me because I was not willing to pay the large amount of money for the medications they were recommending. Even though I was positive he did not have Lymes and their test may have been compromised I made another appointment at a different vets office and had him retested. They showed me how it was done I was able to watch them run the test and they showed the negative result on the test and told me that he had never had Lymes. It was as I expected. Just goes to show that we as their owners do in fact know them better and should be listened to. I feel as though I wasn’t listened to and was brushed off because I’m just some 20 year old girl. I appreciate you fixing my dog but I will not be returning and will drive out of my way now to use the same vet as my parents.

Dr. Alyce, I can't praise you for the care you gave to my Lexi for the 4 years we came to you. You gave her the most wonderful care any vet. You showed her compassion, empathy, support and care. The day we had to let her go, you showed us you really truly cared about her and us. You'll never know how grateful I am for this. Thank you with all of my heart for showing our Lexi what a beautiful person you and your staff did. God bless you on your new journey. In Memory of Lexi Haskins 🐾2-17-09-4-7-22🐾
