I cannot convey in words how much Manor Equine Hospital and in particular, Dr. Geary has meant to my horses on The Longmeadow Farm in Baltimore County. Thanks to her help, my littlest, little, "Brownie" at the ripe age of 35 yrs, is now frolicking with "Buddy" in long, green, pastures in heaven.

Manor Equine Hospital Introduce
For horse owners in Monkton, Maryland, and the wider Baltimore County area, Manor Equine Hospital, located at 15801 Old York Rd, Monkton, MD 21111, stands as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" specializing in the health and well-being of horses. Unlike veterinary clinics that cater to a variety of animals, Manor Equine Hospital focuses exclusively on equine care, suggesting a high level of expertise and specialized facilities tailored to the unique needs of these large animals. The positive reviews highlight the compassionate care provided, particularly by Dr. Geary, and the hospital's commitment to both treatment and owner education.
While the provided reviews do not offer extensive details about the hospital's environment, it is reasonable to infer that Manor Equine Hospital is equipped with facilities specifically designed for equine veterinary care. This would likely include spacious examination areas suitable for horses, diagnostic imaging capabilities such as digital radiography and ultrasound, surgical suites equipped for equine procedures, and stabling for hospitalized patients. Given the mention of "stall life and therapy" in one review, the hospital likely has comfortable and safe stabling facilities to accommodate horses requiring extended care and rehabilitation. The environment would be geared towards ensuring the safety and comfort of the horses while allowing veterinarians and staff to provide effective treatment.
The services offered at Manor Equine Hospital appear to be comprehensive, covering a range of equine health needs. The reviews highlight Dr. Geary's involvement in both end-of-life care for a geriatric horse and the successful rehabilitation of a Welsh Pony following an injury requiring stall rest and therapy. This suggests that the hospital provides services ranging from routine wellness care to the management of chronic conditions, injury rehabilitation, and compassionate palliative care. The mention of "therapy" indicates that the hospital may offer various therapeutic modalities to aid in recovery and improve equine health, which could include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, or other specialized treatments.
A significant feature of Manor Equine Hospital, consistently praised in the reviews, is the compassionate and expert care provided, particularly by Dr. Geary. One horse owner expressed profound gratitude for Dr. Geary's support of their elderly horse, "Brownie," who lived to the remarkable age of 35. The review conveys a deep sense of appreciation for the care provided during Brownie's final stages, emphasizing the emotional support offered during a difficult time. This highlights the hospital's commitment to not only the physical health but also the overall well-being and comfort of their equine patients, as well as the emotional needs of their owners.
The second review further underscores the compassionate and effective care provided by Manor Equine Hospital and Dr. Geary. They successfully treated a Welsh Pony named Lulu, who required four months of stall rest and therapy. The hospital not only provided the necessary treatment but also gave the owners "great instruction on follow up care and therapy," empowering them to actively participate in Lulu's recovery. The positive outcome, with Lulu being able to be turned out and worked again after her rehabilitation, speaks to the expertise and dedication of the veterinary team at Manor Equine Hospital.
The emphasis on providing clear instructions for follow-up care and therapy is another notable feature. This demonstrates a commitment to comprehensive patient management that extends beyond the hospital setting. By equipping owners with the knowledge and tools to continue care at home, Manor Equine Hospital aims to optimize recovery and long-term well-being for their equine patients. This collaborative approach between the veterinary team and the horse owners is crucial for successful outcomes, especially in cases requiring prolonged rehabilitation.
Given the specialized nature of equine veterinary care, it is likely that Manor Equine Hospital is equipped with specific diagnostic and treatment tools tailored for horses. This might include portable digital radiography for on-farm evaluations or for horses that are difficult to transport, advanced ultrasound for imaging soft tissues and internal structures, and specialized surgical equipment for equine procedures. The focus on therapy also suggests the availability of equipment or facilities to support rehabilitation, such as therapeutic laser, shockwave therapy, or a controlled exercise area.
