Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Welcome to Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic, a dedicated "Pet Hospital" serving the Channahon, Illinois area from its location at 25520 Pheasant Ln Unit A, Channahon, IL 60410, USA. We aim to provide local users with a detailed introduction to this veterinary clinic, drawing upon the available customer reviews to offer insights into its environment, services, features, and any potential implications for pet owners seeking quality care. As a pet hospital, Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic is expected to offer a range of medical services and potentially related goods to ensure the health and well-being of animal companions.
Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic can be contacted by phone at (815) 467-4855 or via mobile phone at +1 815-467-4855. Local pet owners are encouraged to use these contact numbers to inquire about the specific veterinary services offered, appointment scheduling, emergency care protocols (if any), and any other questions they may have regarding their pet's health needs. Direct communication will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Based on the customer reviews, the environment at Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic appears to be welcoming and patient-focused. One reviewer specifically noted an "overall amazing experience" from arrival to departure. This suggests a clinic that prioritizes a positive and comfortable atmosphere for both pets and their owners. The review also highlights the staff's patience and the time they took to address the concerns of a nervous, newly adopted shelter pup. This indicates a caring and understanding approach, particularly when dealing with animals that may be anxious or have had challenging past experiences. The mention of "De Mark and staff" being patient and answering all questions suggests a team that is communicative and attentive to the needs of pet owners.
The services offered at Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic, as indicated by the reviews, include routine vaccinations ("shots") and spay surgeries. These are essential veterinary services, particularly for newly adopted animals to ensure their health and to contribute to responsible pet ownership. The fact that the clinic provided these services for animals adopted from the Joliet Township Animal Control suggests a potential partnership or at least a willingness to work with local animal shelters, which can be a valuable resource for the community. It is likely that Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic offers a broader range of services typical of a pet hospital, such as general wellness examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries, parasite prevention, dental care, and potentially more advanced medical or surgical procedures. However, the provided reviews specifically mention vaccinations and spay surgeries.
One of the key features of Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic, based on the positive review, is the patient and caring approach of the staff, particularly "De Mark." This suggests a team that is not only medically competent but also empathetic and understanding towards animals, especially those who may be fearful or stressed. The willingness to take their time and answer all questions indicates a commitment to client education and ensuring that pet owners feel informed and comfortable with the care their animals are receiving.
However, one of the reviews also recounts a significant error where the reviewer was given the wrong dog after picking up their newly adopted pet who had received services at the clinic. While the dogs were eventually exchanged, the incident highlights a potential lapse in identification protocols. The reviewer did note that the owners of the other dog were waiting at the clinic upon their return, and the exchange was made, but the initial mistake and the need to travel back in a snowstorm understandably caused concern ("Crazy, crazy crazy"). This incident, while resolved, is a noteworthy event in a customer's experience.
Considering both reviews, the features of Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic seem to include a patient and caring staff, a willingness to work with shelter animals, and the provision of essential services like vaccinations and spay surgeries. However, the incident involving the wrong dog being released indicates a potential area for improvement in their animal identification procedures.
The provided information does not contain any details about specific promotional offers or discounts that Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic might be running. It is common for veterinary clinics to have promotions for new clients, seasonal specials on services like dental cleanings or vaccinations, or wellness plans that offer bundled services at a reduced rate. Local users are encouraged to contact Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic directly to inquire about any current promotions or wellness programs that might be available to help manage the costs of pet care.
In conclusion, Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic in Channahon, IL, appears to be a pet hospital that is appreciated for its patient and caring staff, particularly when dealing with nervous animals. They provide essential services such as vaccinations and spay surgeries, and seem to have a working relationship with local animal shelters. However, a significant incident involving the release of the wrong dog highlights a potential issue with identification protocols that local users may want to be aware of. For local pet owners in Channahon seeking a pet hospital, Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic offers a seemingly compassionate environment, but it would be prudent to inquire about their procedures for ensuring the correct animal is always returned to its owner. Contacting the clinic directly at (815) 467-4855 or +1 815-467-4855 is recommended for the most accurate information about their services, hours, and any current promotions.

Apr 03, 2025 · Lisa JohnsonI adopted a dog from the Joliet Township animal control. They took her to Mallard point to get her shots and to get a spay. They also had her sister there too getting the same services. I picked up my dog which I thought was my dog and drove back to Joliet. Then I receive a call that they gave me the wrong dog and I needed to return as soon as possible in the snowstorm. When I got back to the clinic, the owners were waiting for their dog and they brought my dog to me. Crazy, crazy crazy.
Jan 04, 2025 · roy dodenI had to let my boy go to puppy heaven the other night. He was 12 years old and my best friend. I could have asked for a better team to help him. Kaylee made sure to have his room ready to go before we were there. Tyler was his tech that night and was so gentle with him. His doctor was Dr Harris and she was so kind and caring and explained everything to us well. It was tough for us all but I know they helped to go with no pain and is free to run again.
Dec 30, 2024 · Stephani GentchevWas very happy with the care that was given to my fur baby!! Thank you all so much!! Another matter I was promiced a $25 off on my first visit. Which I did not receive I even mentioned it on the phone 3 times! I had to have a friend take Tabitha bc I’m disabled. She might not have mentioned it bc I already believed it to already set up
Dec 14, 2024 · Cynthia GossOur 11 year old rescue stopped eating. We took her here and Dr Lowery told us she had a huge tumor on her spleen and needs splenectomy ASAP. Dr Lowery was very explanatory and made us feel very comfortable in what she was going to do with our girl. She was honest about the risks and was loving and tender with her. She is very knowledgeable about this and we were so grateful she could get her in right away! They do not only all the testing but even emergency surgery? The whole team was amazing! I will always suggest this veterinarian.... they are awesome! Thank you for saving our Bella!! ❤️🐾
