From the front office staff (engaging & efficient) to the vet (an experienced professional) my experience was great. I have an issue with my dog (hot spot on her hip) and the medicine the vet prescribed would not only address any discomfort my dog was feeling, but would address the underlying issue which my previous vet failed to do. You have a new customer here. I would highly recommend this place.

Oct 23, 2024 · John RichardsonThey were very nice and I enjoyed our visit very much. I brought my Dogo Argentino for the first time and they did very well with him! My big boy had previously tried to attack our other vet because her assistant pinned him to her chest while the vet tried to take his temperature. Dr. Moorehead was able to take his temperature just fine as well as check him over in the exam. Throughout the whole process they explained what they were doing and why, it was very insightful and an overall wonderful experience!
Sep 01, 2024 · Mikayla KeanDr. Moorehead and his staff are incredible! We visit him for our GSD for the NRT (Nutrition Response Testing). She's having a reaction to something and he and his team are helping her reset to be healthy!! We thank the doc so much for helping us find out what is going on with her and solving the problem as a team with us.
Dec 22, 2022 · Julie KratzReview of Main Street Vet, Stone Mountain ⭐☆☆☆☆ If you’re looking for a vet clinic where you get charged double what you expect and humiliated for free, then look no further than Main Street Vet! I recently had the pleasure of being politely disinvited from returning for services. Why, you ask? Well, let me take you through the hilarity that is Main Street Vet billing! I brought my dog in for a simple grooming appointment, expecting to pay $70. Imagine my surprise when I was handed a bill for $138. Turns out, they charged me $20 for "medicated shampoo" that I never requested - my Aveda products cost less than that! Then, they informed me that the cost of expressing my dog’s anal glands had magically jumped to $42. Inflation must hit dog butts harder than I thought. When I asked about the surprise charges, I received a defensive explanation but no apology. My grave offense was questioning their unapproved medicated shampoo and reminding them that the last time I was there they wanted me to buy supplements at three times the going rate. Newsflash, I’m a Chinese Medicine professional and can find quality Vitamin C and Bilberry without mortgaging my house. I think I used the word "gauge" when I described the fees and that merited me a dismissal letter with an invitation to find another vet. You can't fire me, I already quit! The cherry on top was the clinic staff’s stellar customer service. I got to witness them publicly shame a woman checking in her dog, loudly declaring, "YOUR DOG IS COVERED IN FLEAS!" in front of a lobby full of horrified pet owners. Maybe that’s why they sneak in the medicated shampoo—who knows what they’ll decide your dog needs next! And the real kicker? After picking up my dog, I was greeted with the urgent news that my dog's anal glands were, and I quote, "SOOO full!" Let’s just say, the delivery was less informative and more...enthusiastic. The saddest part? Dr. Morehouse himself seems like a skilled and knowledgeable vet—he just happens to have fees that would make a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon blush, and a staff that could use a crash course in basic manners. So if you’re okay with surprise charges, public shaming, and the occasional passive-aggressive dismissal letter, then Main Street Vet might just be your kind of place. Me? I’ll take my business—and my dog's overstuffed anal glands—elsewhere
Nov 26, 2024 · Lisa Derosby-JonesI would definitely recommend Mainstreet Veterinarians. Our dog has been receiving veterinary care and grooming at Mainstreet since he was 3 months old. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Moorehead gives a detailed diagnosis of any medical issue with a treatment plan and follow up.
