We had a wild cat, they were able to check him out temperature and weight. Other vet in the past couldn’t touch him. Then they did a need ultrasound. He was almost 14. We took him back a week later when it was time he had stopped eating. They gave us medication, we took him in and they treated him so well we were able to say goodbye to our Mr. Kitten. Thank you.

Based on customer reviews, Main Street Animal Hospital has demonstrated the ability to handle challenging cases, as one review mentioned their success in examining a wild cat that other vets couldn't approach. They were also commended for their compassionate and supportive care during a pet's final moments, including providing medication and treating the animal well, allowing the owners to say goodbye.
However, another customer shared a less positive experience. While initially choosing this vet for its proximity and the number of older pets they own, they expressed concerns about a perceived tendency to push for vaccinations beyond what is legally required. This customer, who has had pets live to an old age without such extensive vaccination, felt their preferences were not respected and that the clinic prioritized their own recommendations over the owner's wishes. Additionally, when addressing a health issue with an older cat, the response was reportedly dismissive, attributing it solely to the pet's age.
These contrasting experiences suggest that while Main Street Animal Hospital may provide compassionate care in certain situations, particularly end-of-life care, and can handle difficult animals, potential clients should be aware of the reported concerns regarding vaccination recommendations and the approach to age-related health issues in senior pets.
No information regarding specific services beyond general check-ups, ultrasounds, medication, and end-of-life care, the environment of the clinic, or any promotional offers was available in the provided reviews.

Mar 09, 2025 · Sueanne Cmehil-WarnI went to this vet because it is near my home and I have a lot of pets. And over half of my animals are old. So I take them once a year to do their blood and check up. But this place tends to force vaccinations, which I don’t like doing for my cats other than the rabies and I have had my pets live up to 23 years old. I feel like they just kind of push what they want you to have not caring what you want. And if it’s not required by law, I feel I don’t need to force it on my pet especially when I don’t board them. They stay at home with me. And when I have an issue with my one cat, they basically just saying they’re an ancient and that’s the cause. So easily to say I don’t go to them anymore, but I did have high hopes at first. And I don’t mind paying for what is needed to be done.
Jan 12, 2025 · ChrisDr.Hays and her staff made what I thought was going to be a horrible day so much better. I called almost in tears because my girl had been vomiting a lot and they were able to see her immediately. The clinic was so clean and nice. Did not have any animal smell to it, just clean air. The staff gave us a warm welcome and made all Of us feel comfortable. The vet, Dr.Hays, is a rare gem. She was very patient and loved how she informed us on what was going on with my girl. Elise(my girl) is doing remarkably well Only a few hours after the visit. They gave her some meds, dog food, fluid and blood work and it wasn’t as costly as the other clinics. I highly recommend taking your fur babies here.
Oct 19, 2022 · Hannah PhillipsFriendly staff, clean environment, pricing is very good based on comparison to some of the other vets I've taken my pet to. Most importantly, they were good to my cat, and he's not easy to deal with. In fairness the other local vet clinics I visited over the years were good too, but I'd say this is the top one.
Oct 26, 2024 · Michael GuastellaThe staff here is all so friendly and genuinely just as excited about your pet as you are. The facility is clean and modern. Scheduling is easy and straightforward as are costs and procdures. We had a dog that had mange since a puppy. We were never able to completely kick it though until we came here. And the solution they came up with was the easiest possible thing to do, just a normal flea and tick treatment that also happened to work well for mange (Bravecto). 8 years of suffering with mange and thousands of dollars in previous vet visits, all fixed in one visit with Main Street Animal Hospital (and a few weeks of healing at home). Our furry family member passed away just a couple weeks ago, and the last 4 years of his life were spent happy and non irritated and healthy; he was a normal old man in love with the couch and sunbeams and his human kids which he loved dearly. I wish we had come to Main Street FAR sooner. We now have a kitten who was in need of a vet visit, naturally we wouldn't take him anywhere else. 12/10
