We had to try this place on behalf of our 2 cats because it was very close to our house and convenient. As stated in most of the reviews, it is incredibly dirty inside and the doctor never applies the right treatment. Last week, on behalf of my cat, whose urinary tract was completely blocked and had a stone in the bladder, a catheter had to be inserted and a bladder flushing procedure had to be performed, but every time I went to see my cat, the catheter was full of blood and my cat was lying on its own filth. He removed the catheter in our laps, took x-rays and sent my cat home without telling us about the stone in the bladder and without doing a blood test or ultrasound. My cat couldn't urinate all day and his abdomen was incredibly swollen. We went to the emergency room and my cat was catheterized with a bagged catheter, bladder flushing was performed and they literally drew 3 liters of bloody urine from it. My cat almost died. Yes, it may be cheap here, but your pet's life should be more valuable than anything else. He charged us 1800$ even though he did nothing and lied to us. Definitely does not deserve even 1$ and this is the only place that should be closed. I am very worried about my cat from now on and I regret that I stalled and gave him the wrong procedure and made it more serious. I don't want you to ever go here.

Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc Introduce
Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc is located at 620 Ridge Rd, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071, USA, and operates under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," aiming to provide veterinary care to the local community. However, a review of recent customer feedback reveals significant and concerning experiences that prospective clients should carefully consider when choosing a veterinary service for their beloved pets.
Multiple reviewers describe the environment inside Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc as "incredibly dirty" and "filthy." This raises serious concerns about the hygiene and sanitation standards of the clinic, which are crucial for preventing infections and ensuring a safe environment for animals receiving medical care. Such conditions can compromise the health and well-being of pets and may indicate a lack of adherence to necessary cleanliness protocols expected in a veterinary facility.
The services provided by Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc have also been heavily criticized in the available reviews. One detailed account describes a cat with a completely blocked urinary tract and a bladder stone. Despite the need for catheterization and bladder flushing, the reviewer alleges that the catheter was consistently bloody, the cat was lying in its own waste, and the stone was not identified or treated. The cat was reportedly sent home without proper diagnosis (no blood test or ultrasound) and subsequently required emergency care at another facility where three liters of bloody urine were drained, and the cat "almost died." The reviewer states they were charged $1800 despite the alleged lack of appropriate treatment and misdiagnosis.
Another concerning review recounts a cat brought in for a pre-operative check-up before a spay procedure. The reviewer immediately felt uncomfortable due to yelling within the clinic and the unclean appearance of the premises. It was later discovered that the "pre-op" was only a FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) test and not a complete blood count. The front desk reportedly informed the owner that they would not spay the cat due to a positive FeLV test without further explanation. However, a subsequent test at the owner's regular veterinarian revealed a slight exposure to FeLV that did not preclude spaying, and the cat eventually tested negative and recovered fully after the procedure performed elsewhere. This suggests potential misinterpretation or miscommunication of test results and a possibly outdated or overly cautious approach to FeLV-positive cats.
Features that might typically be associated with a pet hospital, such as accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and a clean environment, are called into serious question by these reviews. The alleged failure to identify a bladder stone, the improper management of a blocked urinary tract, and the potential misinterpretation of a FeLV test result all point to significant issues with the quality of veterinary care provided at Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc, according to these customer experiences.
The stark contrast between the negative experiences detailed in the reviews and the reported 3.8-star rating raises suspicion about the authenticity of the positive feedback. One reviewer explicitly suggests that "majority of the positive reviews on here are probably fake." This lack of corroborating positive experiences from these recent, detailed accounts further underscores the need for caution.
Currently, there is no mention of any promotional information for Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc in the provided reviews. Given the serious nature of the complaints regarding the standard of care and the environment, any potential promotions would likely be overshadowed by the critical need to ensure the safety and well-being of pets seeking treatment. Prospective clients would likely prioritize the quality of care and the reputation of the veterinary practice over any cost savings or promotional offers, especially in light of the severe consequences reported by other pet owners.
In conclusion, the available customer reviews for Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc paint a concerning picture of the clinic's environment, services, and diagnostic accuracy. Allegations of unsanitary conditions, improper treatment leading to near-fatal outcomes, and potential misinterpretation of diagnostic tests should give any pet owner pause. While convenience of location might be a factor, the experiences shared by these reviewers strongly suggest that the well-being of pets could be at risk. Local users seeking a "Pet Hospital" for their animals are strongly advised to consider these detailed negative experiences and potentially seek veterinary care elsewhere to ensure the safety and health of their beloved companions. The reported issues raise serious questions about the standards of care and the overall operation of Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc.

Oct 22, 2024 · Şevval BüyükbaranI’d like to start off by saying I don’t know how this place has even 3.8 stars and legally shouldn’t be running. I will also be writing a letter to Lyndhurst town regarding this animal hospital. I initially brought my cat here as it was in town and my usual vet is a half hour drive. I was concerned and wanted to bring my cat in because I saw blood around her behind area and she was in heat. I needed to get her spayed so I move forward to do (what I thought was) a pre-op. I usually look at reviews before I go anywhere but because I was so worried about my cat, I brought here to the closest animal hospital as soon as I could. Once I arrived, I immediately felt uncomfortable as the doctor was yelling in the back and the place looked filthy. When I got home, I started to read the reviews and decided I most definitely won’t allow my cat to go through a spay procedure with this animal hospital. So, I asked the hospital to send me the results so I could spay her with my usual animal hospital. (I’d mention the animal hospital as it’s absolutely amazing but I don’t want this review to seem like it’s biased). My primary vet had to stay on hold for almost an hour with Lyndhurst animal hospital just to receive results which they kept sending in the wrong file format that couldn’t be opened and in the end I had to come in person and ask them to print out my cat’s results. Come to find out, the ‘pre-op’ was actually just a felv test and not a complete CBC to see how my cat would react to local anesthesia. So, the front desk at Lyndhurst animal hospital verbatim said to me “since your cat tested positive for FELV, we wouldn’t spay her anyway because cats with FELV usually don’t live long lives anyway” without any further explanation. I took the results (which I attached a picture of) and made an appointment with my usual vet. I explained to them what happened in tears under the impression my cat was going to die. They did a rapid in-house felv test and got my results in 15 mins. They explained that my cat had slight exposure to FELV and DOES NOT mean that she can’t get spayed and that she will die. They informed me that when blood work gets sent to a lab, the result will come back negative or positive and usually doesn’t indicate the level of the virus in the blood. We then scheduled a date for my cat to have the surgery and she healed up perfectly and was told by the vet to come back in 3-6 months to check if the virus had left her system. I waited 3 months to write this review as my cat just came back with a negative test result for FELV and is completely healthy. I thank God that I didn’t spay my cat with Lyndhurst animal hospital and trusted my intuition. If you care about your pet, take them somewhere else and majority of the positive reviews on here are probably fake.
Jan 08, 2025 · Xona MacaniFirst of all this place is disgusting. The vet and front desk lady are rude and their customer service sucks they never answer the phone and when they do they will have you on hold for 30+ minutes. Second of all they may have cheap prices but you’re paying for what you get. My 6 month only puppy had ate a sock. They gave her enemas three days in a row even after I kept expressing concern that it was not working. After 3 days of her not eating or pooping and throwing up they finally agreed to do surgery. They performed 3 surgeries on her in less then 5 days because she had an “infection” or because she “kept leaking”. If I would have left her there 1 more day he himself told me he would perform a 4th surgery. When I went to see my puppy she was in very bad condition, she was soaked in blood and barely responsive and very weak. That’s when I took her to an emergency clinic and ultimately had to put her down because she would have a 10% chance of survival if she was put through another surgery. Even Vet emergency clinic( which is a very high tech clinic) said they weren’t equipped to perform the surgeries that this man was performing. Mind you this man doesn’t have any equipment to actually monitor animals and make sure they are ok. My puppy had became septic and lost so much blood and was cold to the touch that they couldn’t even get a pulse reading. Ultimately this man killed my dog every-time he performed surgeries on her and it is not normal practice to perform surgery on a puppy 3 days in a row. This man is not equipped to perform any surgeries and his place is filthy, he performs surgery in the same room that he sees all the animals. When I reported them to the better business bureau they proceeded to lie and say that they told me she needed surgery the first time she came in and that they told me my dogs condition had declined significantly which is all false because they never called me and every time I called they told me she was fine and I have witnesses to prove it. So whatever you do don’t come here for anything. These people need to be shut done, reported , and he needs to get his license taken. In the picture you can see how my dog was so week and her legs were drenched in blood with nothing protecting her incision or keeping her clean.

Apr 12, 2025 · Kerilyn MckayI also agree that while it may not look fancy this Doctor surely will help you. The price is very reasonable. No other vet hospital will beat his price. I love this place it's affordable and the doctor is super nice.
