Luna, our giant fat rottie was not feeling good. So we brought her into Lower Columbia Vet Clinic. The staff was very kind, ran labs, diagnosed and prescribed meds. We were in and out quickly. The vet was cautious because of Lunas breed and size. Luna was afraid of the vet, and the vet might have been afraid of her too. I don’t know how this 120lb dog fit under the chair to hide but she did! The vet worked hard to earn her trust. unfortunately the vet left the appointment with some very slobbery cheesy fingers. Luna is not vicious, but she was definitely fearful in this moment. I will look forward to bringing our other pets as needed. Although we do have an aggressive dog so we probably won’t bring him. Attached a photo of the tiny jerk. If you see him on the streets run the other way!

They noted that the staff was "very kind," quickly ran necessary labs, provided a diagnosis, and prescribed medication, allowing them to be "in and out quickly." This reviewer also highlighted the veterinarian's cautious yet patient approach with their fearful, large dog, even humorously mentioning the vet ending up with "very slobbery cheesy fingers" while working to gain Luna's trust. Despite this slightly messy encounter, the owner expressed their intention to bring their other pets as needed, although they would likely avoid bringing their aggressive dog.

Another pet owner shared their positive experience with their "large cat that's hard to handle." They were grateful to have found Lower Columbia Veterinary, noting that their cat was fine after a procedure once the medication wore off. This reviewer emphasized that "the staff and the Doctor really care about animals" and highly recommends Lower Columbia Veterinary.

I am so glad I found Lower Columbia Veterinary. We have a large cat that's hard to handle. After his procedure he was fine as the medication wore off. The staff and the Doctor really care about animals. I highly recommend Lower Columbia Veterinary!

We took our Dane in for vision problems and the staff was very polite and kind. The Vet explained things so we could get a better understanding and reasoning of what was happening. Very clean place as well.

I’m from out of town and brought my female Pit Bull to Dr Alpert and I was not familiar with one of the testing I did on my girl and she called me and spent time with me on the phone explaining. I thought I had a bad report and it turned out to be a good report with her explanation.
