I called to make an appt to clip my pups nails. I was asked not to bring my dog back because I didn’t want to take their advice such as neutering my pup. I think I should decide that. Also they said I complained about a flea tool ?! And I didn’t buy meds from them such as flea prevention or heartgard. I bought it from Chewy. 3 years I’m with them and spend lots of money for shots and all. I think the actual vet should be the one to come and do assessment instead of coming out after to squeeze some organs then walk out. This place is insane.

Loving Paws Animal Hospital Introduce
Loving Paws Animal Hospital, located at 6750 4th Ave in Brooklyn, NY, serves the local community as a pet hospital providing veterinary care for animals. They can be contacted at (718) 333-5056 or +1 718-333-5056.
Customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the services provided. One recent experience described a negative interaction where the pet owner was allegedly asked not to bring their dog back for a nail clipping appointment. The reviewer stated this was due to their decision not to follow the hospital's advice on neutering and because they purchased flea and heartworm prevention medication elsewhere. This reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the veterinarian's assessment approach, suggesting a preference for more direct interaction with the vet during examinations.
In contrast, another customer shared a highly positive experience, specifically highlighting Dr. Loretta's diagnostic skills. They recounted a situation where one of their cats had a significant respiratory issue with mucous discharge, which Dr. Loretta successfully diagnosed and treated with surgery four years prior. According to this reviewer, other veterinarians were unable to identify or resolve the problem. This feedback strongly praises Dr. Loretta's expertise and the successful outcome of the treatment.
Given these differing accounts, local pet owners seeking veterinary care at Loving Paws Animal Hospital may experience varying levels of satisfaction. Dr. Loretta appears to possess strong diagnostic and surgical skills, as evidenced by one detailed positive review. However, the negative review raises concerns about communication, client autonomy regarding treatment decisions, and potentially the overall client relationship management. As there is no further information available regarding the hospital's environment, other services, features, or any promotional offers, it is advisable for pet owners to consider these points when deciding on their pet care provider and perhaps seek further information or clarification from the hospital directly based on their specific needs and concerns.

Mar 19, 2025 · Yolanda Santa MariaDr Loretta is an excellent diagnostician. One of my cats had a respiratory problem that involved discharging mucous everywhere. Doctor Loretta identified the problem , performed surgery and was successful. She resolved the problem 4 years ago and my cat no longer has this problem. Other vets did not know the cause let alone how to fix.
Jan 09, 2025 · T CastagneThe best vet around. So kind, warm, and caring. I was able to make an appointment within 2 days of calling. They provided me with tons of educational materials and information on 24-hour emergency options. Their explanation of my cat's treatment options was thorough, and transparent. There was no judgement when I asked what I thought might be ignorant questions. Very impressed and very grateful for the care they took with my pet.
Dec 20, 2022 · Janet CusheyAwesome. I loved Dr.Loretta and her assistants. The young lady at the front desk was sure to make me feel like my best friend was in good hands. I could not imagine my cat being cared for by anyone else. 10000/10 experience and I have recommended Loving Paws to all my friends. Thank you once again guys !!!
Nov 30, 2023 · nancy shalanI'm overall very impressed with Dr. Loretta and her staff. Dr. Loretta is a great and very knowledgable vet. I brought my elderly cat in (17 years old) because he'd been throwing up for a year straight. I did not know that was alarming, and thankfully, Dr. Loretta explained to me that he might either have IBD, or that the IBD became cancer. They immediately, urgently started the process of figuring out what he had, so that it could be treated as soon as possible. Unfortunately, they found out it was cancer, but they launched into action then too. Since he was diagnosed, he's had a couple of health scares, and they were so attentive to what was happening with him. They took him in right away, kept me very updated, and worked very hard to figure out the variables and why he had taken a turn in his health. He is also a family cat, so Dr. Loretta took care to inform and talk to everyone involved, even though they weren't there physically. They also took care to make sure I do not run out of his essential medication. One time, my cat was close to liver failure, and I'd taken him to an emergency vet before choosing to take him here. They took him in right away and truly nursed him back to health. I just moved across the country, and Dr. Loretta and her staff are still thinking about him. He had another health scare recently, and Dr. Loretta hopped on the phone with me and talked me through the options. They've made it clear that they are here for us, especially because I haven't found him a regular vet now. They also were hugely helpful in making sure he was healthy enough to get on a plane. I'm seriously so grateful for this place. Their attentiveness and knowledge have saved my best friend's life a couple times already. Ultimately, if you care about the health of your pet, I highly recommend. They are good at what they do.
