Danger fell off our bed and landed on his head and while he seemed to have fully recovered, we felt he was still joy 100 percent and decided to seek Accupuncture treatment with Dr Malik about a month after his fall. We have been so incredibly impressed. Dr Malik is compassionate, thorough and possibly the loveliest veterinarian we have ever met! Best of all, Danger had dramatic improvement in his movement after his first treatment and showed no signs of his previous gait abnormalities. Fortunately we had taken video of Danger's movement immediately after his fall and again two weeks later so she was able to see exactly where he was moving badly which helped our treatment plan dramatically. I cannot recommend Dr Malik and her staff highly enough and recommend her wholeheartedly. Danger loves his visits there!

Our focus is on personalized care, and we aim to ensure that both you and your pet have a positive and reassuring experience each time you visit our Pet Hospital.
As a Pet Hospital specializing in veterinary acupuncture, our primary service is the administration of acupuncture treatments by our experienced veterinarian, Dr. Malik. Veterinary acupuncture involves the insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the animal's body to stimulate the nervous system, release endorphins, improve circulation, and promote the body's natural healing abilities. This holistic approach can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, often working in conjunction with conventional veterinary treatments.
Based on the customer reviews, Long Island Veterinary Acupuncture has successfully treated pets with various ailments. One review mentions a mini golden doodle named Danger who experienced dramatic improvement in movement after acupuncture treatment following a fall. This suggests that veterinary acupuncture can be effective in addressing musculoskeletal issues and gait abnormalities in pets. The ability of Dr. Malik to utilize video evidence of Danger's movement to tailor the treatment plan underscores a thorough and personalized approach to care.
Another heartfelt review details the positive impact of acupuncture on a pug named Brutus who suffers from multiple health issues, including seizures, pancreatitis, and severe hip dysplasia. Despite these challenges and being on multiple medications and herbs, Brutus is consistently "peppy and happy" after his acupuncture sessions. This indicates that veterinary acupuncture may help improve the quality of life for pets with chronic and complex conditions, potentially alleviating pain, reducing the frequency of seizures, and providing overall comfort.
A significant feature of Long Island Veterinary Acupuncture is the exceptional compassion and expertise of Dr. Malik and her team. Customers consistently praise Dr. Malik's thoroughness, her lovely bedside manner, and her genuine care for the animals she treats. Her willingness to listen to pet owners, offer great advice, and be honest about a pet's condition creates a strong sense of trust and partnership in the care process. This personalized attention extends not only to the animals but also to the well-being of the caregivers.
The support staff, particularly Cassie, also receive high praise for their compassion and sensitivity. The ability of the staff to offer comfort and understanding to pet owners during stressful times further highlights the caring ethos of Long Island Veterinary Acupuncture. This focus on both the physical and emotional well-being of pets and their owners sets us apart as a truly caring Pet Hospital.

Sep 28, 2023 · Carleen MenkesDr. Malik and her team are amazing. My pug Brutus has multiple issues including, seizures, pancreatitis, and pretty sever hip displacer. He is only multiple medications and herbs. He is always peppy and happy after his sessions. They are all so kind and I can tell they love my dog too. With this pandemic I have not been able to go in with him and I 100% trust they are treating my dog like he is the king. I would highly recommend LI Veterinary Acupuncture. Dr. Malik's compassion is exceptional not only for my dog and his issues but for my well being having to be his caregiver. She always offers great advice and is always honest with me this to me makes a huge difference when your dealing with a sick pup. Thank you Dr. Malik and team especially Cassie who is also so compassionate. I have spoken to her many times on the phone on the brink of tears she is always sensitive to my situation and calms me. Dr. Malik and her team have helped me make this awful situation bearable.
Dec 15, 2020 · Nicole GaleotaNice to become aware that there is a veterinary acupuncture place with another means to assist beloved pets. Cost is high but then if it works when traditional methods are limited it can be worth the investment. Schedule appointment dates are 2 months out with hopes of a sooner cancellation availability. They have to place animals on a table e and hold them there while placing and using acupuncture needles standardly for 15 minutes. Dr. Nina did call back from left message. Office personnel did take input info. I’d been referred by a Periodontist near by. Had I known sooner I’d have tried earlier. Now, it’s trial and error prayers to see if it helps. If it does it’s a worthy effort for special pets.
Apr 09, 2024 · mindy marcusDr. Malik is amazing she was referred to me by my sister in law who has been seeing Dr. Mailk for years. This will be my girls 3rd treatment and I honestly can say there is improvement. My little girl had IVDD surgery on 7/28/2018. If I could give Dr. Malik 10 stars I would.
Sep 11, 2018 · Sara LopezDr. Malik has been treating our 1.5 year old Shih Tzu, Franklin. She is one of the most kindest, honest, and knowledgable doctors we've encountered. Our pup has a genetic disease called Renal Dysplasia which effects his kidneys. Sadly, this disease does not have a good prognosis for our young pup; however, she does and IS doing everything to help to extend his life to the fullest. I am hopeful we will be seeing Dr. Malik for many, many years to come! Thank you, Dr. Malik and staff for treating Franklin like he's your own pup. He loves you all and so do we!
