My 14 year old fur baby had a stroke and sadly had to be euthanized because he was suffering so I took him to London Animal Hospital and it was the best decision I could make. They were very caring, gentle, and comforting to me and took the best care of him in every way possible. They charged a fair price and made sure that his ashes were returned to me in a very caring way. If you are looking for a veterinarian to take care of your animal babies I highly recommend. Thank you to the staff of London Animal Hospital for your compassion and kindness.

Based on feedback from local pet owners, London Animal Hospital is recognized for its caring and gentle approach, particularly during sensitive times. One reviewer shared their experience of having to euthanize their 14-year-old pet, highlighting the compassion and comfort provided by the staff. They praised the team for their gentle care of the animal and the thoughtful handling of the cremation and return of ashes. This testimonial underscores the hospital's commitment to not only the animal's well-being but also the emotional needs of their owners during difficult moments.

The facility itself is described as "nice," with a unique and welcoming feature: the presence of two house cats that greet patrons and their animals. This detail suggests a comfortable and pet-friendly environment, aiming to ease anxiety for both pets and their owners upon arrival. The presence of resident cats can contribute to a more relaxed atmosphere, making the veterinary experience less stressful.

However, it is important to consider all aspects of the services provided. One reviewer noted that the cost of treatment could be high, especially for those on a budget. They also mentioned a lack of prior discussion regarding the prices of specific treatments, which led to unexpected expenses. This feedback highlights the importance of clear communication about treatment plans and associated costs to ensure transparency and allow pet owners to make informed decisions about their pet's care.

As a full-service Pet Hospital, London Animal Hospital likely offers a range of essential veterinary services. These typically include routine checkups and wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of potential health issues. Vaccinations are a cornerstone of preventative medicine, protecting pets from various infectious diseases. The hospital likely provides these vital services to keep your pets healthy and protected.

In addition to preventative care, London Animal Hospital would also offer diagnostic services to identify and understand health problems. This may involve laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, as well as imaging techniques like X-rays to visualize internal structures. These tools are essential for accurate diagnoses and the development of effective treatment plans.

For pets requiring surgical intervention, a Pet Hospital like London Animal Hospital would typically have the facilities and expertise to perform a variety of surgical procedures. This could range from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex operations addressing various medical conditions. Anesthesia and pain management are critical components of surgical care, ensuring the comfort and safety of the animal throughout the procedure.

Dental care is another vital aspect of pet health, and veterinary hospitals often provide services such as dental cleanings, examinations, and treatment for dental diseases. Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for a pet's overall health and can prevent more serious issues down the line.

In times of unexpected illness or injury, access to emergency care can be crucial. While the reviews provided do not explicitly detail emergency services, it is common for established Pet Hospitals to offer care for urgent medical situations during their operating hours. It is advisable to contact the hospital directly to inquire about their emergency protocols and availability.

Furthermore, London Animal Hospital likely offers supportive services such as nutritional counseling and parasite prevention. Guidance on proper nutrition is essential for maintaining a healthy weight and overall well-being. Prevention of fleas, ticks, and heartworms is also a key aspect of routine veterinary care.

Considering the feedback regarding end-of-life care, it is evident that London Animal Hospital approaches this sensitive process with compassion and respect. The provision of euthanasia services when necessary, coupled with the thoughtful handling of aftercare such as cremation and the return of ashes, demonstrates a commitment to both the pet and the grieving owner.

In summary, London Animal Hospital in London, Ohio, appears to be a veterinary practice that prioritizes compassionate care and provides a welcoming environment for pets and their owners. The positive feedback regarding their gentle approach, especially during difficult times, and the presence of comforting house cats suggest a caring atmosphere. However, potential clients should be mindful of the reported higher costs and ensure clear communication with the veterinary team regarding treatment plans and associated expenses. For local pet owners seeking a comprehensive Pet Hospital that values both the medical and emotional well-being of their animals, London Animal Hospital is a facility worth considering. It is recommended to contact them directly to discuss your pet's specific needs and to inquire about their current services and pricing policies.

It was expensive if you are on a budget. Prices were not discussed before treatment so I couldn't veto a shot that was $80. I love my cat but it really wasn't necessary for his healing. The facility is nice and I like how they had two house cats to greet patrons and their animals.

We brought our cat, Louie, to be seen for a cough. The staff and vet made us feel welcome and were caring and professional. Highly recommend!

Worked my sick cat in on very short notice. The vet and secretary were very caring and compassionate. They allowed donations to be called in to pay for the care of my cat because we were unable to pay at the time. I couldn't find another vet willing to do so or to see my cat so quickly. Will be returning to them when my animals need care. Thank you!
