We love! We've been patients here with all our pets for 20 years. Everyone is very friendly. I've heard they're pricier than other vets, but I am confident my pets are getting the best care. Also, vet care is just expensive. The exam rooms and waiting area are very clean, and dog and cat waiting areas are separate.

The environment at Lockridge Animal Hospital is designed with both pet and owner comfort in mind, fostering a clean, organized, and friendly atmosphere. A key feature repeatedly highlighted by clients is the cleanliness of the facility: "The exam rooms and waiting area are very clean." This attention to hygiene is fundamental in a veterinary setting, contributing to a professional and safe environment for medical procedures and patient recovery. Furthermore, the hospital thoughtfully provides "dog and cat waiting areas are separate." This seemingly small detail significantly impacts the experience for many pets, as it helps to reduce stress and anxiety, particularly for cats who can be easily overwhelmed by the presence of dogs, and vice versa. Beyond the physical layout, the human element of the environment is consistently praised. Clients describe everyone as "very friendly," creating a welcoming and approachable atmosphere. This compassionate and warm demeanor from the staff and doctors contributes to pets feeling "like he's the most important 'patient' in the building," fostering a positive emotional response from animals and building trust with their owners. Lockridge Animal Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, aligning with the multifaceted needs of a "Pet Hospital." While specific details on every single service are not explicitly provided in the available reviews, the general scope of a modern, well-regarded veterinary hospital typically includes preventative care, diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical procedures. Preventative care is fundamental, encompassing routine wellness exams, which are crucial for early detection of health issues and maintaining long-term pet health. Vaccinations, tailored to individual pet needs and risk factors, would also be a cornerstone of their preventive strategy. Diagnostic capabilities would involve various in-house laboratory tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, along with imaging services like X-rays and potentially ultrasound, all vital for accurate diagnoses. Medical treatments cover a wide array of ailments, from common infections and dermatological issues to managing chronic diseases and injuries. Surgical services would typically include routine procedures such as spaying and neutering, as well as more complex soft tissue surgeries. The emphasis on "the best care" and answering and explaining "all of my questions... in a way I understand" suggests a strong commitment to client education and a thorough approach to medical care, ensuring pet owners are well-informed partners in their pets' health journey. This comprehensive service model aims to address the full spectrum of a pet's health needs throughout its life.

Jul 05, 2023 · JenniferI'm always happy when I bring my pup here. All of my questions are answered and explained to me in a way I understand. My boy loves his Dr and the staff. They treat him like he's the most important "patient" in the building. I definitely recommend bringing your family fur animals here for any treatment.
Dec 02, 2021 · alicia CorsonI've started taking my cat for claw clippings to bring him to my parents with us. The tech that handles him is amazing and does a great job about 3 times now. They are his regular vet too.
May 17, 2023 · Anne CThings went more smoothly this year. The office is open and they provide great care for your pets. My only complaint is that even though there are two people manning the front desk you are always asked to hold every time you call.
Jan 02, 2022 · Laurel CoughlinMy dog wasn't feeling well and his vet’s office tMwas not answering or returning calls so I googled local animal hospitals and saw that this one had great reviews. Had a wonderful first time experience with this hospital. Booked a new patient appointment for my dog and was seen in the same day. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They followed all of the Covid-19 precautions which was genuinely appreciated. The Vet called me on her personal phone to explain what was going on with Dio. He was brought outside to me by a Technician along with his medications and instructions. The medication bag even had a cute note written on it “Dio The Brave”. They gave me a follow up call the next day to ensure he was on the road to recovery. I will certainly be switching to their hospital after this for future visits.
