She is everything you want in a vet: a sharp eye, careful ear, steady hand, warm heart, and honest words. Her home services and safe dentals have literally been lifesavers and her willingness to be available day and night for her clients is something you almost never find in a practitioner anymore for any species.

Welcome to LAVender Veterinary Services
LAVender Veterinary Services, located at 115 Reservoir Rd, Deering, NH 03244, USA, operates primarily as a mobile Pet Hospital, bringing veterinary care directly to the homes of pet owners in the Deering area. This service model is designed to provide convenience and reduce stress for pets and their families, especially beneficial for animals that may be anxious in a traditional clinic setting, or for owners with mobility challenges or multiple pets. You can contact them at (603) 674-9753 or via mobile at +1 603-674-9753.
As a mobile Pet Hospital, LAVender Veterinary Services offers a range of essential veterinary care, focusing on personalized and accessible treatment. Based on customer reviews, the services provided appear to include:
Routine Home Veterinary Services: This likely encompasses general wellness exams, vaccinations, and other preventive care that can be administered in a home setting. The convenience of "home services" is a key selling point for many clients.
Safe Dentals: A specific service highlighted by a positive reviewer is "safe dentals." This suggests they offer dental procedures, potentially utilizing techniques or equipment suitable for at-home or in-vehicle dental care, prioritizing the safety of the pet during these procedures.
Acute and Chronic Condition Management: While not explicitly detailed, a mobile vet service often handles diagnostics and initial treatment for common ailments, and provides ongoing management for chronic conditions, reducing the need for stressful clinic visits.
Availability for Clients: One reviewer noted Dr. Murdock's "willingness to be available day and night for her clients," suggesting a commitment to emergency or urgent care support, which is a rare and highly valued feature in veterinary practice.
Medication Dispensing: As a mobile service, they likely carry and dispense necessary medications directly to clients, though there has been a reported issue with follow-through on this aspect.
The environment for LAVender Veterinary Services is inherently unique due to its mobile nature. For pets, the primary environment for care is their own home, which significantly reduces anxiety and stress often associated with clinic visits. This familiar setting allows for a more relaxed examination and treatment process, benefiting nervous or easily agitated animals. For owners, the convenience of having veterinary care brought to them is a major advantage, saving time and simplifying logistics. While there is no physical clinic to describe, the professionalism and demeanor of the veterinarian and any accompanying staff directly shape the at-home experience. A positive experience would be characterized by a calm, patient, and efficient interaction in the pet's familiar surroundings.
The features of LAVender Veterinary Services, as described by customers, are both highly praised and critically reviewed. On the positive side, Dr. Murdock is lauded for her "calm, funny, loving, and honest demeanor." Clients speak of her having "a sharp eye, careful ear, steady hand, warm heart, and honest words," indicating a combination of strong medical acumen and deep empathy. The "safe dentals" and her "willingness to be available day and night for her clients" are highlighted as extraordinary and "lifesavers," offering a level of dedicated care "you almost never find in a practitioner anymore." This suggests a truly personalized and highly responsive service that builds strong client loyalty.
However, an objective introduction must also address the negative feedback. A significant feature, or rather a challenge, for some clients has been the responsiveness and consistency of service. One review describes "several weeks of emails and phone calls to get back to me" for the initial contact. More critically, a "second experience was awful," detailing issues such as arriving at the "wrong house," being "obviously in a bad mood," and displaying rudeness and "no patience with my very sweet but nervous dog." This reviewer also noted negative comments about another untreated dog and a failure to deliver promised medications, leading to a perception of "unprofessional, uncaring service." Furthermore, attempts by another mobile vet to obtain records from LAVender were reportedly unsuccessful, suggesting potential communication or record-keeping issues. These negative experiences highlight inconsistencies in professionalism and client care, which are crucial for any service-based business.
From a promotional standpoint, LAVender Veterinary Services primarily relies on its unique selling proposition of at-home, mobile veterinary care, coupled with the strong positive testimonials from highly satisfied long-term clients. The glowing review that highlights Dr. Murdock's exceptional qualities and availability serves as powerful word-of-mouth promotion, painting a picture of an extraordinarily dedicated and skilled veterinarian. The convenience of "home services" and specialized offerings like "safe dentals" are implicit promotional aspects that attract pet owners seeking less stressful and more personalized care. The rarity of a practitioner offering "day and night" availability is a significant draw that would likely be a key promotional message if advertised.
Conversely, the negative review acts as a counter-promotion, directly impacting potential new clients' perceptions. Issues such as unreturned calls, tardiness, unprofessional demeanor, failure to deliver promised medications, and lack of responsiveness in record transfer are significant deterrents. In the current digital age, such detailed negative reviews can quickly spread and undermine the positive reputation built from other experiences. For a service that relies heavily on trust and personal interaction, consistency in client communication and professional conduct is paramount for effective promotion and client retention. While no specific promotional offers or discounts are mentioned, the core offering of convenience and personalized care, when delivered consistently, forms its main appeal.
In conclusion, LAVender Veterinary Services offers a distinctive mobile Pet Hospital model in Deering, NH, prioritizing at-home convenience and personalized care. Its strengths lie in the compassionate and highly responsive care described by long-term clients, particularly Dr. Murdock's calm demeanor, sharp medical eye, and willingness to be available for urgent needs. However, the service faces challenges in consistency and professional conduct, as evidenced by recent negative feedback concerning communication, punctuality, and client interactions. While the concept of a mobile vet service is highly appealing and has been life-saving for some, prospective clients should consider both the glowing endorsements and the critical reports to form a complete picture of the service provided by LAVender Veterinary Services.

Feb 07, 2025 · Bryan LewisMy first experience with LAVender was okay, even though it took her several weeks of emails and phone calls to get back to me. Post pandemic, I didn’t have many options. My first experience with her was okay. The second experience was awful. She called me 15 min after my scheduled time demanding to know why I wasn’t answering my door… it’s because she was at the wrong house. Not a big deal, but when she arrived at my house she was obviously in a bad mood. She was rude to me, and had no patience with my very sweet but nervous dog. She then proceeded to make negative comments about my other dog who she wasn’t even there to treat! I also paid for meds that she didn’t have in stock, and she said she would drop them off to me… she never did. I decided to try another mobile vet (RAAM… highly recommend), and they told me that they tried to contact LAVender several times to get my dog’s records but never got a call back. I told them I wasn’t surprised. LAVender is such an unprofessional, uncaring service.
May 15, 2025 · Jo-Ann ArchambaultDr M has been our vet for four species and 9 years. You cannot find vets of her caliber, steely nerves, common sense, and empathy + enthusiasm almost anywhere anymore, let alone her fair and incredibly low costs. She is literally one of the best things to ever happen to us and our menagerie. Day or night, winter storms, spring nor’easters, summer tourist traffic she has always found a way.
Jun 08, 2024 · HL CoffeyI adopted two kittens from a local shelter and they were both neutered by this veterinarian. Both kittens had infected incision sites and were taken to the emergency vet multiple times days after adoption. It was shared with us by another vet that the procedure was done incorrectly and is glad we brought him in when we did as his infection easily could have led to sepsis. DO NOT bring your pets here.
Apr 20, 2025 · mikayla shawWas excited that Dr. Murdock provided house visits since my dog had terrible car stress. In the time we worked with her, not only was getting a response back painful, but she misdiagnosed my pup's failing liver. When we decided to put him down, I reached out and asked if she offered those services... I'm still waiting for a response. She wasn't cheap, too. But whatever, can't trust everyone. What's done is done, and my dog's still dead. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
