Larry Martin and his staff are valued members of my horses' care team. Dr. Martin works well with my farriers and adjunct therapy practitioners. I have always received clear, timely, and caring communication from Dr. Martin and his staff. Services are fairly priced. My emergencies have been appropriately handled by either Dr. Martin or his emergency referral practices. It's definitely comforting and a blessing knowing Dr. Martin is our horses' veterinarian.

When you come out to see a horse at a barn, a hello would be nice. You blew me off and refused to speak to me. Not the best way ot make friends and future clients.

I called Doctor Larry Martin on January 9th 2021 because I had a horse in colic. He was my equine vet. His service informed me that he would contact me within 20 minutes and if I did not hear from him to call back within 30. He called me 25 minutes later to ask what my horse's symptoms were and then informed me he was out of town and to call another vet. I did call another vet but it was another 45+ minutes before the vet arrived. I put my horse down that night at 9:30 p.m. because he was suffering terribly. Could he have been saved if Dr Martin had informed his service that he was 'supposedly' out of town so that I could have promptly called another vet? It's possible but I will never know. This horse died before his time. This horse, my 15 year heart-horse died with me and 3 close friends stroking his face while he was administered a lethal injection. This horse I went all the way to Hardin Kentucky to get when he was a 3-year-old. This horse loved and trusted me to protect and care for him. I made the wrong decision when this vet went into private practice and did not have a backup partner for an emergency. Dr. Larry Martin never followed up in any fashion to inquire whether my horse had recovered. As an animal parent I want you to take a moment and put yourself in my position, in an emergency when your animal is suffering, and ask yourself whether this veterinarian has the empathy and compassion you are seeking in an animal caretaker.
