We are truck drivers and it’s hard to find a vet for pets out here on the road. Well on may 3 2025. I was walking my dogs and had noticed that my youngest was not acting right, she wined and panted trying to urinate. I got worried so I started looking closer and noticed she wasn’t urinating. I called lamczyk vet clinic and they had no problem seeing my girl. We are from Texas so yes I was so pleased. Sighed her in and within minutes a urine sample was taking and tested. She has a bad uti. Love this vet already they was so understanding with how my dog is in a clinic and they don’t even know her. She got her antibiotics and pain meds and on our way. I will forever be thankful and will remember this vet for the future. Thank y’all so much Mrs . Daisy may is already feeling and doing better. Forever grateful Claressa and Stanley

Welcome to Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC

Welcome to the introduction of Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC, a Pet Hospital located at 12246 N Sparrow Ln, Mt Vernon, IL 62864, USA. As a platform dedicated to pet health, Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC aims to provide veterinary services to the local community. To help you understand what this clinic offers, we have compiled an objective overview based on the information available, including direct feedback from pet owners.

Choosing the right veterinary care for your pet is a significant decision. Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC, operating under the category of Pet Hospital, offers a range of services for your animal companions. By considering the environment, services, features, and real customer experiences, you can better assess if this clinic meets your pet's needs.

Environment: Accessibility and Initial Impression

One customer, a truck driver passing through the area, highlighted the clinic's accessibility for those on the road, which can be a crucial factor for traveling pet owners. This suggests that the clinic is perhaps located in an area that is relatively easy to reach. The positive initial experience of this customer indicates a willingness to accommodate new patients promptly, even those who are not local. However, another review details concerns about the clinic's handling of a pet with a broken leg, which might reflect inconsistencies in their approach or the overall environment of care.

Services Offered: A Range of Veterinary Care

Based on the customer reviews, we can infer some of the services offered at Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC:

  • General Health and Diagnostics: The clinic was able to quickly assess and diagnose a urinary tract infection in a dog, including taking and testing a urine sample. This indicates the availability of diagnostic services.
  • Treatment of Illnesses: The clinic provided antibiotics and pain medication for the diagnosed UTI, showing their capacity to treat common pet illnesses.
  • Orthopedic Care (Casting): The clinic offers casting services for broken bones, as mentioned in one of the reviews. However, the experience described raises concerns about the quality and appropriateness of this service.
  • Urgent Care/Accommodation of New Patients: The positive review from the truck driver indicates a willingness to see new patients who are experiencing acute health issues with their pets.

It is likely that Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC offers other standard veterinary services expected from a Pet Hospital, such as vaccinations, routine check-ups, and potentially surgical procedures, although these are not explicitly detailed in the provided feedback.

Features and Customer Experiences

The customer reviews present a mixed picture of Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC:

  • Positive Aspects: One customer praised the clinic for their promptness in seeing their dog with a UTI, their understanding approach to a new and potentially anxious animal, and the effective initial treatment provided. This highlights the clinic's potential for responsive and empathetic care.
  • Negative Aspects: Another customer reported a very negative experience regarding the treatment of their dog's broken leg. This included a delay in providing care, perceived lack of communication and consent regarding procedures, a poorly fitted cast that subsequently fell off, and a perceived unwillingness by the clinic to take responsibility for these issues. This review also mentions being refused further service due to a social media post about the experience. Furthermore, a second opinion from another vet revealed that the initial cast was not even covering the broken bones adequately, raising serious concerns about the standard of care in this specific case.

These contrasting experiences suggest that while some pet owners have had positive interactions with Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC, others have encountered significant problems with the care provided and the clinic's communication and accountability.

Promotional Information: Considering Your Choice

Given the mixed feedback, it is challenging to present standard promotional information. However, based on the positive review, Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC may be a suitable option if you are looking for a clinic that offers:

  • Prompt attention, especially for urgent issues.
  • A seemingly understanding approach to pets and their owners.
  • The ability to diagnose and treat common ailments.

However, it is also important to be aware of the concerns raised in the negative review regarding orthopedic care, communication, and the clinic's response to perceived errors.

As a potential local user, you may want to consider these varying experiences when making your decision. If you value a clinic that is responsive in acute situations, Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic LLC might be an option. However, if your pet requires specialized care, particularly orthopedic, it would be prudent to weigh the reported negative experience. It is always recommended to have open communication with your chosen veterinary clinic about procedures, costs, and aftercare.

On 10/28/24 my dog broke two bones in her leg. We took her in the next morning in hopes that she would taken care of. They told us they couldn’t take her for TWO DAYS.. for a cast. And while they were checking her out they came in the room and stuck her with needles before I could even get a word out, without asking me if it was okay, if I could afford it, or if she had any allergies. After said cast was put on I noticed it was a bit loose. Before I left the clinic I asked them about it and they said I have nothing to worry about and it will be fine. Fast forward to 11/6/24, I noticed her cast was extremely loose. So I gave them a call and told them what was going on, the First Lady I spoke to said she couldn’t give “confidential” information over the phone. I thought that was bullshit. So I called again to speak with someone else. I told them I could fit four fingers between the cast and her leg, they said it was fine and that it won’t fall off. I kept asking for reassurance and the lady got extremely rude with me and bluntly said “the cast is not going to come off. You have nothing to worry about. Have a good day.” And proceeded to hang up on me. So fast forward two days later on 11/08/24, my boyfriend took my dog outside to go potty, and when she came inside the cast fell right to the floor. So I called lamczyks and they IMMEDIATELY blamed it on me. They told me she was probably too active and that she should’ve been wearing her cone 24/7. The cone was making her extremely anxious, even with all the meds she was on to make her calm and sleepy. It was also causing her to run into things and hit her leg on corners and doorways. She has been supervised from the start and she hasn’t shown any interest in wanting to even touch, chew, lick, or even LOOK and the cast. But they insisted it was my fault and wouldn’t admit to their mistakes. Fast forward to today, 11/11/24, I was refused service because of a Facebook post stating what had happened. And told me they transferred my records to thousand hills veterinary clinic. So, I drove to thousand hills veterinary clinic explained to them what had happened. I showed them the cast, the X-ray, and told them that the cast had fallen off. After the vet tech took a look at everything, she said the cast that they put on WASNT EVEN COVERING THE BROKEN BONES!!!! She only had half of a leg cast and I was informed that the cast should have covered her ENTIRE LEG. So not only did I get shitty service, I got charged FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! And the cast wasn’t even serving a purpose!!! I am never ever taking any of my animals to this vet clinic ever again. And I hope that one day this business gets SHUT DOWN.

The vet staff was nothing but WONDERFUL!!! They got our baby Boots in so quickly and were very thorough. They kept him all day, running tests to ensure he did not have a blockage that needed emergency surgery. After his tests, he got a clean bill of health, but they wanted to check on him the day after just to be sure (and did not charge us!) Dr. Lamczyk and her staff were beyond what we could have asked for. Boots is feeling much better and we are at ease knowing he had the best care in Southern Illinois. Thank you and your staff!

They were awesome with me and my sugar glider. I really was very happy with them, and I get so nervous when someone else is in charge of my gliders care.
