The old Doctor here is extremely unintelligent when it comes to birds. Took my Green Cheek in for a nail trim and he literally cut the entire nail off, started bleeding all over, and then has the audacity to tell me he was trained by a professional and they usually cut shorter than that. If it was cut any shorter he’d have no toe. Doctor needs to be fired or at the very least not advertise he is avian certified. EDIT: I like how the vet only replies to bad comments and always tries to defend themselves. I can promise the doctor isn’t the one replying to these comments, so how would they know what the nail looked like? I took my bird and walked out. The entire nail? Okay, maybe not, 95% of the nail? Most definitely. Way more than 1/3 of the nail was trimmed. EDIT 2: MaCaila Hite is my significant other that was there and also made a review and the comment on my review and her review are completely different. You say 1/16” on hers but 1/3” on mine. Just shows you are lying to make yourselves look better. Everyone deserves a better vet than this place. Either way, I would highly recommend NO ONE takes their birds here. In fact, no animals should be taken here. This place should be shut down. My review still stands. EDIT 3: I added a picture for proof, keep in mind, this picture was taken about two weeks after the vet appointment, so it has grown back some. But even then, two weeks later, it’s STILL too short.

My dog has never liked any veterinarian but coming here he hasn't had to have a muzzle. I would recommend going here because they are patient and understanding for every situation.

NO STARS Worst vet experience ever. I brought my bird in for a nail and beak trim. Instead the tech, Dr. Beebe, cuts right through the nail quick (blood vessel) to the very base of my birds toe so that it is heavily bleeding and has barely any nail left. Yes he stopped the bleeding, but if he could not this would be fatal for my bird as their blood does NOT clot. I expected a TRIM, which does not mean cut through the quick (blood vessel) and leave no nail. He tried to continue the appointment but I would go no further and left. I ended up calling them back to express my concerns but they said that the other doctor cuts them even shorter!!! And then tried to express that they weren’t in the wrong and that the dr we had was in TRAINING. needless to say I was baffled. Still am. It makes me sad because I thought I could trust this vet and was very happy to find one so close to home that took birds. Turns out I was wrong and am better off traveling to Portage or learning how to do it myself.
