I can’t say enough good things about Lakeside Animal Hospital. Always a great experience with Dr. Brooks and his kind and caring staff! Dr. Brooks is very compassionate and straightforward. He has a big heart and a true passion for his profession - this is evident in every visit. I was really anxious about an enucleation but he was very confident and reassuring that this was the right decision. So grateful to have found such a wonderful vet. Highly recommend!

Friendly and helpful staff, the team here always goes above and beyond. You can get medications, supplements and food, plus you can get your dog license here. All in one service with a smile. Medication seems a bit more expensive than it could be, but what can you do about that. If you want the best service for your pet in the area, or even out of the area, and you want someone who truly and honestly cares about your pet and your concerns for their well being and long healthy lives, you absolutely need to come see Dr. Brooks at Lakeside Animal Hospital.

Edit: not even 12 hours later had to go to medvet. He was gurlging and struggling to breathe. Vet today sad he was in heart failure. Thank you for your heart murmur diagnoses. And Thank you for allowing me and my dog to suffer a full 24 hours! Dr Brooks has a condescending tone and was speaking at me to the extent that my 3 year old was hiding behind the chairs in the room. She told me she was scared. The assistant just looked at me and smirked, said hardly two words. I work in the health field and the way I was treated by both of them was like I was a murderer. He informed me that his nails were overgrown. No kidding I’ve thought my dog was going to pass for two months! The CBD oil I was giving him for 2 months was poison to my dog, but I needed to buy their brand. It was sold out though! I finally worked up enough courage to take my 16 year old Maltese to euthanize and chose this establishment as it was close to home. This isn’t my normal vet, but because it’s 2 mins from my home so I could make it home crying. I was sent home with pain pills and $120.00 bill because he felt he had more life. My baby has been Soiling on the floor, uncomfortable, not able to sleep, eating and not eating for months, having to be carried outside to go to the bathroom, panting at times and his breathe smells like death.He also nipped at my kids if they accidentally touch him wrong, which I didn’t tell them because I honestly didn’t think it was necessary at that point with all of his symptoms. I was in shock with the way I was treated. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Dr brooks said he will call me in two weeks to see how he’s doing. Yea, no thanks don’t bother because the pain pills are not helping. Maybe be a little more compassion about people who have had their pets for 15 plus years and have gone somewhere else for their vet appointments, but decided to give you a second chance.

I’ve always had such an excellent experience with Kristan, she is always so attentive and treats my dog like a queen! The whole staff is amazing I really recommend bringing ur dog here.

What can I even say about Dr. Brooks to give enough credit? He is a compassionate, knowledgeable, honest, thorough and reliable vet for those of us in the area that don't have "normal" pets. To have a trustworthy vet so close that can care for our exotics and reptiles is a big sigh of relief. 5 stars isn't enough. Dr. Brooks deserves 10 stars. So glad to have a vet we can count on.
