I’ve debated on writing this because frankly I am not one to leave negative reviews ever, but I’m still just blown away by the whole situation. I’ve been using Lakemont vet for my animals my entire life, literally. My family always brought our cats there and never had a bad experience. After their one vet retired, who was AMAZING, it seems to have gone downhill. We’ve been struggling with medical issues with my daughter, she was hospitalized for 14 months and needed to get our cat in for a routine check. my daughters condition started to decline and we were unable to bring him in as we had to urgently be with her. They charged us $90 for the cancellation even after explaining our situation. At this time I was like whatever, rules are rules, I can understand- I work in the medical field & time is money. There are also animals that need seen urgently and at the time this was not our cat. That situation is not what this review is about but this was definitely a precursor as this was several months ago. On sunday this same cat ended up at the emergency vet for a blockage, they were able to stabilize him and encouraged us to get to our vet for emergency surgery. When I called them, once again explained our situation, including my daughters condition and that our cat desperately needed to be seen, they informed me there was nothing they could do and hung up the phone. Actually hung up. I was in tears at this point begging them for something and was literally just hung up on. I called back asking for recommendations, resources, a different vet or anything and was met with “sorry we can’t do anything” and was hung up on again. I am still just blown away and disheartened by this whole situation. I couldn’t believe that this was the office that was so good to my animals for all these years. If you’re considering them for your animals care please consider my recent experience—I would not wish that hopeless feeling or experience on any pet owner especially during an emergency.

As a Pet Hospital, Lakemont Veterinary Clinic aims to provide a range of services and potentially goods to support the health and well-being of your beloved pets.

Based on available information, including customer reviews, it's important to present a balanced view of what you might expect from this veterinary care provider. Historically, some long-term customers have reported positive experiences over many years, particularly mentioning a previous veterinarian who was highly regarded. This suggests a foundation of care that resonated with pet owners in the past.

However, recent feedback indicates a shift in customer experiences. One review details a situation where a customer faced a cancellation fee despite explaining their daughter's serious medical condition, which prevented them from bringing their cat in for a routine check. More concerningly, the same customer reported a distressing experience when their cat required emergency surgery. Despite explaining the urgency and their ongoing family medical situation, they were allegedly told that the clinic could not help and were hung up on during the call. Attempts to get recommendations for other vets were also reportedly met with a similar response.

Another recent review highlights issues with the front desk reception, describing a receptionist as "horribly rude." This customer also reported difficulties in obtaining their pets' medical records for transfer to a new vet, initially being told that the records were deleted. This situation was reportedly resolved only after the customer mentioned potential legal action, at which point the records were promptly provided.

Considering these points, potential local users should be aware of the contrasting experiences reported. While there may be aspects of Lakemont Veterinary Clinic, P.C. that have served the community for a long time, recent feedback raises concerns about customer service, particularly in emergency situations and regarding administrative processes like obtaining medical records.

As a Pet Hospital, Lakemont Veterinary Clinic, P.C. would typically offer a variety of services aimed at maintaining and improving the health of pets. I didn’t have a good experience last time at this location because the receptionist was horribly rude. I still remained kind and asked nicely if I could have my records to transfer them over to a new vet. Apparently they’ve deleted everything? I got both cats spayed here, and took them for yearly shots. So, overall 10 years of my cats medical history is just gone out of pure spite. Not to mention all of this is after many years without any problems. (Edit) After I threatened legal action my records were magically found and emailed immediately LOL

We love Dr. Yeager here at Lakemont! We've been bringing our animals here for 20 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with our babies. Rachel out front is kind, efficient and compassionate. The Tech's are knowledgeable and gentle. Thanks for all your support over the years!

Have been taking our pets to LVC for over 34yrs. They go above and beyond in caring for our pets during their lives and also when the time comes to say goodbye. They are very caring and compassionate in everything they do.

They are so nice and very understanding as well as affordable, they treat the animals so kindly and its so easy to make sure your concerns are meet, also love there service when it comes to any problems you may have. will always be my go to vet for my dogs, specially since they are big breed dogs which most vets charge hefty for breeds like them.
