If I could leave zero stars for Dr. Stork I would. I want to note the rest of the clinic staff has been nothing short of amazing through my interactions there since I started bringing my cat to their clinic several months ago. I moved back to the area and needed a new vet and knew someone who worked at Lake Mills Vet so I was comfortable starting my cat, Pats, care there. Patrick was prescribed Prozac a few months ago because of some behaviors that were becoming frequent and it was unusual. Looking back I wish I asked for testing - but you don’t know what you don’t know. Fast forward to two days ago, 01/20/25, I watched my cat Pat die in front of me within minutes. I’ve had him for 11 years and nothing would have prepared me for this unexpected situation. Abbey, at the front desk, answered the phone while I was panicking watching my cat pass away in front of me. She was extremely helpful and said I could bring him in. Luckily I had a friend who was available to drive me and Pat to the vet being that I was extremely emotional. We waited for the doctor to come in. As he came in, he did not introduce himself, he showed no compassion or empathy for the situation and totally lacked skills to have a dialogue with me and instead stated “yep he must have had a clot that caused a stroke, nothing could have changed this situation.” He came to this conclusion after being in the room for just minutes, no tests were ran, and no physical tests were done to my cat. I asked if he was sure on this, and even requested tests in which he responded “yep it’s pretty textbook. It can just happen to any animal.” There was no actual examination or tests done (besides using the stethoscope to confirm, my cat wasn’t breathing) just an assumption made by him with lack of context and then he said someone would be in so I could decide what I wanted to do with my cat. He was very heartless and callous. I understand he is there to give his clinical expertise, but how is one to do that when NOTHING clinical was done to confirm why my cat died. It was the shortest, most uncomfortable situation after just watching my cat die I felt like I had to leave as quick as possible. I had to learn his name by looking him up since he didn’t even introduce himself. I highly recommended you to NOT bring your animal to Dr. Stork. No empathy, no respect, no clinical tests or examinations done to back up his diagnosis.

We have had quite the extensive history with our dog from puppy on, and they’ve always taken such good care of her (and us). They truly love their patients and are top notch in professional and compassionate care. Ellie says thanks for always taking good care of her!

I can’t praise this vet clinic enough for everything they did for my cat Jango and I. This will be a long review so buckle up. I had a 14 and 1/2 beautiful yellow tabby with huge green eyes. He was everybody’s friend and he loved everybody. I called them to ask if they would be able to have him as a patient and at first they were reluctant because of the number of patients they currently have and wanting to make sure they would be able to take of all of us in the way they needed to. Without much coaxing, they said yes to us coming there and made an appointment the next day for him to get examined. Dr. Bill listened to my concerns and decided to do X-rays for further evaluation. Much to his and my surprise, he had pretty advanced lung cancer. Becky held him and loved on him while we discussed comfort meds. We came home and he was kept as comfortable as he could be until Sunday when we had Full Circle Vet, Carrie Donahue come and put him into a forever sleep. If Claire had turned us away, we would still be wondering and worrying what was wrong and he would have suffered more. Dr. Bill, thank you for your knowledge, kindness and compassion towards Jango and I. You and your staff are incredible and I can’t thank you enough.
