Lake Dow Animal Hospital

I am a new customer and do not use regular vets often because I use low cost spay/neuter places for routine care. Lake Dow Dow referred to me for my aging cat who was sick. The care I received was compassionate and kind and they treated me as if I had been a long standing customer. My baby Evan has to cross the rainbow bridge but the veterinarians and techs treated him and me with compassion and thorough care. Would recommend to anyone. PS I had to drive an hour to get there but it was worth it and recommend.

My husband brought in our 13 year old Black Lab with a knot on his snout and bloody mucus. We thought it was a snake bite. Dr Smith barely pulled up his lip and said it could be an abscess tooth or a growth. She said he needs a teeth cleaning to determine the diagnosis. Sent him home with antibiotics for 14 days and we scheduled the tooth cleaning for a month later first available appointment. Moving on the knot did not go down and my Ace continued to decline. Took him yesterday to Henry County Animal Veterinary and he had a tumor that covered the roof of his mouth into his bone and his tooth was hanging by a thread!!!! We had to have our beloved dog Ace put down 😢 yesterday. This should have been diagnosed 10 days ago!!! I will never go back again. They are money hungry and we’re more concerned about a teeth cleaning than finding the very evident tumor. I highly recommend Henry County Animal Hospital for your pets needs. We couldn’t get an appointment with them to begin with that’s why we went to Lake Dow. Never again

Early on a Monday morning our little Schnauzer was experiencing difficult delivering her puppies. Most veterinary clinics would not take her however Lame Dow, realizing the danger to mom and pups took her right away. We lost one puppy which had been in the birth canal too long however successfully saved the mom and 2 beautiful little Schnauzers. Can’t thank Lake Dow enough and from now on, my go-to vet.

We have had both of our fur babies checked out here now and saw Dr. Craig with our Annabelle and Dr. Miller with our Champion. Both ladies were friendly and very informative. They checked out my babies with care and I felt like they understand that some babies aren't just pets but family. Definitely recommend for your fur babies care!! We brought our family cat in (Siamese). It was a week where the vet was in surgery and wasn’t seeing walk-ins. Siamese was very sick with a growth in her mouth that manifested over the weekend. We got there at 0730 and was the 1st patient there. The receptionist was kind to us and allowed us to be a walk-in. The vet techs were sooo compassionate. The vet was so knowledgeable and kind. Siamese had multiple brain tumors and a lung mass. She was at the end of her life. They allowed me to go pick up my daughter (17) from school so she could be present during Siamese’s final moments. They were best friends. We were able to hold and love on Siamese as she pasted over the rainbow bridge. The entire office was extremely sweet and helpful. They made our hard decision so much easier. We received a sympathy card in the mail a week later with everyone’s signatures. It was a real nice and personable touch. My daughter also got a plaster impression of Siamese paw print. Thank you soooooo much for all that y’all do for us humans and our love ones!!!!❤️
