Welcome to Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC
Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC, located at 31878 126th St Suite 1, Princeton, MN 55371, USA, operates as a "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing veterinary services to the local community. They can be reached by phone at (763) 631-3575 or via mobile at +1 763-631-3575. The clinic, led by Dr. Heather Kivisto, aims to offer thorough and compassionate care for pets, alongside exceptional customer service for their owners. While general information suggests a welcoming atmosphere, some aspects of their policy have garnered mixed feedback.
From an environmental perspective, a "Pet Hospital" like Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC is expected to maintain a clean, organized, and functional space that supports veterinary medical practice. This typically includes a reception area where clients and their pets are greeted, well-equipped examination rooms for consultations and check-ups, and dedicated areas for diagnostics, surgery, and recovery. The focus is on creating an environment that is as comfortable and stress-free as possible for animals, which is crucial for successful veterinary visits. While specific details on the decor or ambiance are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, the clinic's stated commitment to compassionate care suggests an effort to provide a supportive setting. Their website also mentions an "open invitation to you and your family to come and visit us at any time," which implies a transparent and welcoming physical space for prospective and current clients.
Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC offers a range of services typical of a primary care "Pet Hospital." Based on their stated mission to provide thorough care and the nature of client interactions, their services likely include:
Routine Wellness Examinations: Essential for preventive care, including physical assessments, early detection of health issues, and general health maintenance for pets.
Vaccinations: Administering necessary immunizations to protect pets from common and serious diseases.
Parasite Control: Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of both internal (e.g., worms) and external (e.g., fleas, ticks) parasites.
Diagnostic Services: This would typically encompass laboratory tests (such as blood work and urinalysis) to aid in diagnosing various conditions. Online information also suggests they offer general X-ray services (digital radiography) to examine a pet's body systems, and they perform surgical procedures.
Medical Treatment: Addressing a variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions through medication, therapies, and ongoing management.
Dental Care: Providing services to maintain oral health, which is crucial for a pet's overall well-being.
Pain Management: Offering solutions to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life for pets with acute or chronic discomfort.
Surgery: The clinic states it performs surgical procedures, indicating they are equipped for various operations, which may include spaying, neutering, and other common soft tissue surgeries.
Cat Friendly Practice: The clinic is certified "Cat Friendly" by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), indicating specialized knowledge and practices for improving the health and welfare of cats, which often involves creating a less stressful environment for feline patients.
Their approach to care appears to be non-pushy, as one review explicitly states, "Wasn’t pushy at all for tests." This suggests a philosophy of discussing options and collaborating with pet owners on treatment plans, rather than automatically recommending extensive or expensive procedures.
A significant feature of Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC, as highlighted by positive customer reviews, is their "wonderful staff" and their willingness to "work with my family to get what my cat needs when he needs it." This indicates a high degree of client-centered care and flexibility. They are praised for treating animals "right" and for their ability to partner with pet owners to ensure timely and appropriate care. This collaborative approach fosters trust and empowers pet owners in making informed decisions about their animal's health. The sentiment "Love this place will be taking all my animals" strongly underscores client satisfaction and loyalty stemming from this empathetic and accommodating approach.
Another important feature is the clinic's commitment to thorough communication. Reviews mention "everything explained to us about our dogs X-rays" and finding "a treatment for our dogs problem." This suggests that the staff takes the time to clearly explain diagnoses, procedures, and treatment options, ensuring that pet owners understand their pet's condition and the care plan. This transparency is crucial for building trust and ensuring pet owners feel confident in the care provided.
However, it is also important to acknowledge a contrasting feature highlighted by a negative review concerning their deposit and late appointment policy. The strict policy regarding deposits and a limited grace period for late arrivals, regardless of challenging external circumstances like extreme weather affecting vehicle starting, presents a less flexible aspect of their operations. This incident, resulting in a lost deposit and a frustrated client, points to a policy that, while potentially in place for operational efficiency, can be perceived as rigid and lacking empathy in extenuating circumstances. This suggests that while their medical staff may be highly compassionate, their administrative policies might be perceived differently by some clients.
In terms of promotional information, Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC's strongest form of promotion comes from the positive experiences of its clients, particularly the emphasis on the "wonderful staff" and their collaborative approach to care. The statement "Love this place will be taking all my animals" is a powerful endorsement that speaks volumes about their quality of service. While the negative review highlights a specific policy challenge, the overwhelming positive feedback points to a practice that prioritizes pet well-being and client communication. The clinic also utilizes an online presence to facilitate services; their website welcomes new patients and offers online forms, a virtual office tour, veterinary resources, and information on payment options, including working with treatment financing solutions like CareCredit. They also partner with Vetsource for an online store to order medications and food, enhancing client convenience. These online tools and partnerships serve as promotional elements, aiming to streamline the client experience and make veterinary care more accessible. For local users, Kivisto Veterinary Clinic LLC generally presents itself as a compassionate and accommodating option for pet care, provided that they are aware of and comfortable with the clinic's administrative policies, particularly concerning scheduling and deposits.

Feb 22, 2025 · Big MooseHorrible deposit policy. -18 degrees and my truck wouldn't start. They offered 15 minutes grace for a late appointment. Anything longer, and I'd have to reschedule and would also lose my deposit. Enjoy your $52. You won't be getting any more money from me.
