I had a great experience today as a new patient! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Walter and Diane truly got to know my kitten. They didn’t just assess her and send us on our way. They sat and played with her, pet her and of course gave her some yummy treats. I could immediately see their love for their patients and the work they do. I have already scheduled my other pets there to become patients!

Based on available information, including customer reviews, experiences at Kindred Integrative Veterinary Services appear to be varied. One new patient reported a positive initial experience, highlighting the friendly and welcoming staff, and specifically mentioning Dr. Walter and Diane who took the time to connect with their kitten, demonstrating care and affection for their patients. This positive feedback suggests a warm and engaging approach to animal care, where the well-being and comfort of the pet are prioritized. The reviewer also noted the intention to bring their other pets to the clinic, indicating a high level of satisfaction with their initial visit.
However, another customer shared a significantly negative experience detailing concerns about the care provided to their elderly dog with mobility issues and recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs). This review raises serious concerns regarding the diagnostic process, communication, and overall management of the dog's health over an extended period. The reviewer expressed disappointment in the delay in testing for Giardia, the perceived lack of proactive investigation into the recurring UTIs, and the eventual refusal of care. Furthermore, the review mentions issues with prescription refills and a chaotic office environment, leading to long wait times and instances of being forgotten in the exam room. This account presents a contrasting perspective on the clinic's service and raises questions about the consistency and quality of care provided.
Given the conflicting nature of these reviews, it is challenging to provide a fully objective description of the environment, services, and features of Kindred Integrative Veterinary Services based solely on this information. However, we can attempt to synthesize the available details while acknowledging the differing experiences:
Environment: One review suggests a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, particularly during a first visit. Services: Based on the reviews, Kindred Integrative Veterinary Services offers general veterinary care, including consultations, vaccinations, and potentially diagnostic testing (as indicated by the Giardia test). The negative review suggests services related to the management of chronic conditions like UTIs and mobility issues, as well as prescription services. The clinic's name, "Integrative Veterinary Services," implies that they may offer or consider complementary therapies alongside conventional veterinary medicine. However, the specific nature and extent of these integrative services are not detailed in the provided information.
Features: Features mentioned in the reviews include a potentially caring and attentive staff (as per the positive review), and conversely, concerns about communication and consistency in staff recommendations (as per the negative review). The long wait times, even with appointments, and the chaotic office environment are also notable features reported by one customer.

Oct 13, 2022 · Michele RoseI am extremely disappointed to have to write this review because I thought the world of Dr. Walter prior to this. Most importantly I trusted Dr. Walter and after this experience, no one should trust her with their animals. My elderly dog has lost most of her mobility in her back legs and for over a year she was under Dr. Walter’s care trying to control reoccurring UTIs. Because her mobility was limited she does not have full control of her bowels. She started having diarrhea on and off with no explanation and this lead to UTIs no matter how clean I kept her. Every 2-3 months we were going to Dr. Walter for over a year. I always asked her if there was anything more I could do to help prevent this and she assured me I was doing everything right. After more than a year of this on and off diarrhea Dr Walter finally decided to test her for Giardia. Not sure why it took over a year to test for this but I trusted her. We had been displaced from a house fire and moved to an apartment complex which is when this all started and now makes sense. How Dr Walter’s didn’t figured this out, I don’t know. She was well aware of the situation. In May of this year my dog started showing signs of another UTI so I called Dr Walter’s for an appointment and that is when Dr Walter REFUSED to see my dog. I still do not even understand what she thinks I did wrong. I thought she was thinking I was a different patient but when she got on the phone it was like the twilight zone. I followed the instructions that HER AND HER STAFF provided me. Which is often confusing enough since her and her staff are always on different pages. I had 1 person tell me I needed to meds for my other dog, only to go and pick up the meds and find out Dr Walter’s didn’t think it was necessary. But what is most concerning is that I found a new vet immediately and got the UTI completely under control. My dog has not had a UTI since May when the new vet explained to me that she is not expressing her bladder all the way and I need to assist her so that she fully empties it. How did Dr Walter’s not figured this out over the year+ that she was in her care? She collected +-$200 an appointment every few months and SHE allowed my dog to suffer. Her office is extremely chaotic which was not easy to deal with but I always sucked it up because I thought I found a vet that I trusted. She even refused to refill by dogs prescriptions dog food that she had been on for over a year that Dr Walter’s prescription her in the first place! The only one that it hurt was my dog. What kind of vet disregards a pets best interest just to be petty. Very mature and professional of her. There is always an extremely long wait, even with an appointment you should plan to wait at least an hour before being seen. I have been forgotten in an exam room more than once and waited over 2 hours. I hope this review helps pet owners make a better choice for themselves, their wallets, and most importantly their pets!
Oct 16, 2024 · Kraus HouseDr. Walter is truly a gem! She’s amazing and her team is kind and compassionate. She took the time to get to know my dog and answered my questions. She did a tooth cleaning and extraction and I was very pleased with the experience.
May 07, 2023 · EI wish I could give them 10 stars! Dr Walter is absolutely AMAZING. She is so kind, compassionate, and thorough. She takes so much time getting to know your pet and diagnosing them. Twice now another local vet has failed my pets and I was able to get in with kindred immediately and she spent so much time trying to help my fur baby after the other vet completely misdiagnosed him. Thank you SO much Dr Walter!
Apr 05, 2024 · Nicole SliferrWonderful Warm Staff and Kristy the Vet so caring and compassionate that it left me overwhelmed when I left ! I’ve done my homework finding a vet and was highly recommended to her thru numerous individuals,,,, SO glad I went with her! My dog Bella took right to her and was very comfortable with the whole staff! This vet makes your furry friends so welcomed as they get to walk around to get comfortable prior your appointment I can’t say enough for how happy I was with this first visit for my dog in such pain 🙏
