Kinder 4 Rescue Low Cost Pet Clinic

Not sure how to feel. In february 6th at 8:30 AM i took my kitty there. he had been suffering with a urinary blockage. When i went in they did the blood tests and x-rays. everything came out normal and they said they could unblock him and drain as much urine out. He had to spend 3 nights in the hospital. They gave us so much hope. At a 7 PM that same day i got a call saying that he was actually not doing well and they had to perform surgery on him. The surgery was $3000 additionally from the $800 i had already spent that whole week. I was devastated bc i knew i didn’t have the money and they didn’t accept any other type of payment except for care credit and scratch pay which i didn’t qualify for since i am barely 18. I knew that i had to make the choice to either put him down or surrender him. basically meaning they would perform the surgery but they would put him up for adoption and i wouldn’t be able to get any type of information about him ever again. it was the hardest decision i had ever made. I love my cat so much he was my first pet ever i had him since he was a baby and he brought so much joy to me and my family as well as our others cats life. I made the choice to surrender him. They told us we could still get some information about how he was and when he was going to be put up for adoption but when we called they were just rude and said they couldn’t tell us anything. Honestly the loss of my cat affected me so much. It also affected my other cat since they were super close and my cat up to that point was doing fine until we gave up on our cat. He stopped eating and had signs of depression. He also wouldn’t sleep and would just lay down all day. They not eating or drinking water got so bad. I didn’t have any money left to take him to the vet since i had to gotten fired from my job. 2 weeks later he ended up passing away. I wasn’t able to pay for a burial or cremation. i was truly devastated now i had lost both my cats in less than a month apart. I don’t wish this pain to anybody. I don’t know they will ever read this or not but my baby’s birthday is approaching. He would be turning 1 years old this month. i just wish i could be there with him and see him on his birthday. I wish i could’ve hugged him and petted him for longer that last time i saw him. I cry everyday for him. I know that God is taking care of him now and that he will find him a lonely and safe place to live. He will always be loved by us. I will live some pictures of him. He is a very sweet and loving cat. I think everyone deserve to experience that love at least once in their lifetime. I love you my sweet Angel forever and always. ❤️ EDIT: On May 5 it was supposed to be my angels birthday (the day he came home with me) i was so sad just thinking him. I think about him everyday and i really wish that the family he is with now (hopefully) will celebrate his birthday ❤️ i miss him so much every day i keep having dreams that he comes back to me. I pray to God that he will be happy and healthy and safe bc that is all that matters to me. I would like to same some more pictures from when i first go him until our last day together. I know it wasn’t a year but for the time i had him i was the happiest person ever.

My cat is dead. when i first looked into this place, the first review i saw was of an owner that had the exact same experience as me but with their dog. I wish i hadn’t ignored his review. Please do not ignore mine. I came here for a dental exam, which by the way they didn’t even give me. they took my cat back, ran a bunch of tests, then scheduled me for a cleaning. didn’t tell me anything about how his dental health looked, what would be happening, or if they’d be removing any teeth. My cat was an older cat with some dental issues that he had been dealing with since i first adopted him. When i took him in for the cleaning, i asked how many teeth they’d be removing and they told me they didn’t know and wouldn’t know if they’d even be removing any until during the procedure. horrible way to go about it because you have no idea what’s happening or how much you’ll be paying. Late in the evening i received a call from them telling me to come pick my cat up. i go to get him and they tell me they’ve removed half of his teeth and plan to remove the rest. this took me off guard because i couldn’t even receive a phone call to be made aware of this? i would’ve liked a second opinion. either way, they had already removed half. They told me they had to stop mid procedure because his vitals plummeted and he bottomed out. In order to save him, they had to stop the procedure. they told me they gave him time to recover and he was fine. I was upset by this because again, i received no phone call. for the next 15 minutes, i shot question after question at the person i spoke with about if there was anything to look for, what should i be worried about, when to bring him back to the vet, if i should bring him to his primary care for a check up, what is an issue that would warrant bringing him into the vet immediately, what could possibly happen to him, etc.. The person i spoke with assured me he was perfectly fine, there’s nothing to look for, not to worry, and he wouldn’t need to be brought back into the vet. i pressed this person over and over again. they continued to assure me he would be perfectly fine. He then tells me i will have to bring him back in in a year for the rest of his removal and they just wouldn’t use anesthesia because he reacted poorly to it due to his age. I’m confused as to why anesthesia was even used if age would factor into an adverse reaction. why didn’t they use the other option? why wasn’t i made aware of another option? if it costed extra, i would’ve paid for his safety. I take my cat home, 8 weeks later, he is dead. He passed away from a heart attack. Immediate, sudden death out of nowhere. I wish they hadn’t told me he would’ve been fine. i wish they had told me possible things to look out for. i wish they had told me how serious his vitals dropping was. i wish they had told me to visit his primary care to have his heart checked after what happened. I wish they would’ve called me before removing his teeth. i wish they wouldn’t have used anesthesia if there was another option. i wish I hadn’t taken my cat here. He was my everything and now he is dead. Please take your pet somewhere else. do not ignore the reviews like i did. There are other places that are affordable and offer better care.

Beware of deceptive tactics by the receptionist/admin in the front desk. He's a heavy set bald male in his mid 40s. Went in for an emergency and was told they could see my dog despite only being able to do blood work and X-rays. Waited about an hour for them to tell me they're not able to identify what's wrong with my dog from either blood work or X-rays. My dog is literally dying for air and these people have no sense of urgency or empathy. The veterinarian and her staff seem so disconnected from their titles as animal caretakers. The veterinarian did not speak with me regarding my dogs results which is what I paid for. They just handed me my results and said I needed to take my dog elsewhere. The place they referred me to needs a referral which they did not provide. This place is so disorganized and so unprofessional. It's extremely deceptive and dishonest to charge me first and then tell me you don't know what you're looking at afterwards. You should have told me from the beginning there was a chance that they could not identify what was wrong. I felt like I was discriminated against and not valued as a customer or human being. I literally left feeling this place like a number/money sign for this greedy dishonest place. I'm not sure where these people got their degrees or education but I would strongly suggest going elsewhere as they are not equipped to do their jobs adequately or with integrity.

I am writing to formally report an extremely distressing and unacceptable experience I had at Kinder4Rescue, which I believe involved gross negligence, deceptive business practices, and a lack of professional ethics during a veterinary emergency. I brought my dog to Kinder4Rescue in a desperate state. He was clearly struggling to breathe and needed immediate care. I was assured by the front desk staff — specifically a heavyset, bald male receptionist/admin in his 40s — that they could assist, though they clarified they only had the ability to run blood work and X-rays. Under the urgency of the situation, I agreed. After an hour-long wait, I was informed that the clinic could not interpret either the blood work or the X-rays and could not identify what was wrong with my dog. No veterinarian personally explained the findings to me, despite the fact that I paid for a consultation and diagnostic review. Instead, I was handed printed results and told to go elsewhere — with no referral letter or proper documentation to help expedite care at the next facility, which required a referral to even be seen. This disorganized and careless response not only wasted critical time but possibly worsened my dog's already severe condition. There was no urgency, no empathy, and no ownership of responsibility by the staff. The veterinarian did not communicate with me directly at any point, which is highly unprofessional. Additionally, I was charged before being made aware that they may not be able to offer any concrete help. This is deeply unethical and misleading, especially during a medical emergency. I left feeling dismissed, dehumanized, and exploited — as though I were just a transaction rather than a grieving pet owner in need of help. I believe their actions warrant serious scrutiny by the California Department of Consumer Affairs and any other relevant veterinary licensing or oversight body. At best, this clinic is severely underqualified and poorly managed. At worst, they are taking advantage of vulnerable pet owners under the guise of providing medical care. I'll make sure the right people see what you're doing Kinder.

I came here at the urging of the Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital. The doctors at MASH said that my dog needed an MRI and Xray and Kinder 4 Rescue could do both at half the cost of their facility. I arrived at 8:30am with my 8 month old mixed breed puppy and at around 9:30am I was able to see a nurse. I told not to bring my puppy in yet but I was immediately told they do no provide xrays or MRIs despite xrays being listed as a service on their website. Then I was told that they could do the xray but my puppy would have to be sedated (standard proceedure) but also they would neuter him. We didn't come to Kinder 4 Rescue to neuter him. We came here because the doctors at MASH said he could have a possible dislocated/broken jaw and we wanted to verify if that was true. The nurse we were talking to insistes he had to be neutered. Did not offer the possibility of neutering while my dog was sedated for the xray, just said it was going to be done. Since the nurse was not listening to what we were asking and would not see our puppy, we decided to leave. While we were waiting we heard another nurse tell an owner who was bringing her dog for a routine teeth cleaning that they were going to remove some of her dogs teeths. The owner asked how many and the nurse she was talking to said "We don't know how many yet. We haven't done an xray". I don't understand how anyone can say for sure that teeth will be removed without doing an xray. If you decide to go here, please be an advocate for your pet and get a second opinion before accepting anything they say.
