Dec 15th I brought my very sick dog into Kathleen animal hospital and I knew I probably would have to say goodbye that day. Well the news no animal lover wants to hear came back and the decision was made to put my sweet Pooh Bear down to end his suffering. The staff and Dr. Stansberry were very helpful, understanding and nice. They gave me all the time I needed and walked me through the whole process. As hard as it was to say goodbye to my beautiful boy, they made it easier with their kindness. The vet tech that helped me I do not know her name but thank you for everything and Sherri you were very kind and compassionate. To Dr. Stansberry, thank you for explaining things and understanding my questions. You will always be where I take my animals.

Specifically, the care shown by Dr. Stansberry and the veterinary technicians during end-of-life decisions was noted as being very helpful.

Conversely, other reviews express significant dissatisfaction with the hospital's services. One customer detailed a negative experience involving their elderly dog, claiming the hospital prioritized profit over patient welfare. They also cited concerns about the cost of services and the handling of after-death arrangements.

Positive aspects noted include the cleanliness and organization of the facility, as well as the friendliness and perceived competence of the staff. However, concerns were raised about the cost of services and the perceived lack of communication and follow-up in certain cases. The reviews show that experiences can vary significantly.

It is important for pet owners to consider these varied experiences when evaluating Kathleen Animal Hospital for their veterinary needs. While some customers have found the hospital to be supportive and caring, others have reported negative experiences that raise concerns about the quality of care. Therefore, it is recommended that pet owners discuss their specific needs and concerns with the hospital staff to ensure a clear understanding of the services provided.

Kathleen animal hospital is more of a business with greater concern of the profit margin, then that of the welfare of your beloved. Never again will i take one of my animals to Kathleen animal hospital, and here is why! I was once a regular to Kathleen animal hospital with my doggies. And Ohh the facilitys are clean, in good repair, well laid out for the small size. And the staff have always been friendly, and seemed to be competent in their jobs. Other then that they are overpriced for their services, and up to this point, there hasn't been any issues. Until I took my precious Cloie there for when she was sick one time ago. A 14 year old Siberian Husky, who had more humans friends in my neighborhood then I did. I Took her in for an evaluation when she became ill. Blood work came back OK and i was asked to leave her with them for the day to get fluids. Later that afternoon I received a phone call that she needed more fluids and that she needed to stay overnight for it. With that litte scratch of a voice in my head telling me no, not to do it. I said ok. Fait, and faith in Kathleen animal hospital are both cruel, for i would come to regret this decision. The next day when I went to pick her up, she could not use her hind legs to walk, came out stumbling with the techs helping to guide her. No Doctor, no office manager came to talk to me. Just here u go and a bill. Two weeks went by and Cloie condition never improved. I had to carry her everywhere and support her for bathroom trips and wash her private area constantly because she would fall into her own urine and poop. The cry from her pain is still seared into my memory. With the delusion that she was just stiff from being cooped up in a cage overnight, with no supervision of any kind on site to get her up and moving once in a while long gone. I came to the conclusion that she had a stroke during the night from a blood clot that developed from being in a cage and unable to move around for an extended period of time. And this knowledge is Veterinary Care 101 by the way. The hard choice was made to end it. And so I lost her precious soul forever because of this. If I had just listened to that voice. The cruel irony is that when I came in to Kathleen animal hospital that fateful day to put her down, one of the techs had ask about Cloie and mention to me that she had asked the doctor about the fact that she wasn't using her hind legs. After that I was handed a bill to for the euthanasia and Disposal. $300 to get the ashes back of which the money I did not have. So she was put into a mass cremation. Just a few weeks ago an individual on the sidewalk beside Kathleen Animal hospital was using his constitutional rights to express himself with a sign up saying that Kathleen Animal Hospital was responsible for his beloved ones death. And admittedly is my inspiration for writing this review now for it has been sometime since my experience then. But my tears are real right now as I relive this pain again for this review. Im reminded of a passage in Herman Melville, book Moby Dick. "To the last i grapple with thee; from Hell's heart I stab at thee; for hates sake i spit my last breath at thee..." Okay sure that might be over doing it, but you tell that to my kids. This is for you Cloie, gone but never forgotten!
