Welcome to Jonesborough Animal Hospital
Welcome to the introduction of Jonesborough Animal Hospital, a "Pet Hospital" located at 1398 W Jackson Blvd, Jonesborough, TN 37659, USA. You can contact them at (423) 753-5868 or their mobile number +1 423-753-5868. Based on the available customer reviews, this animal hospital appears to offer a range of veterinary services, though experiences seem to vary among pet owners.
Details about the specific environment of the Jonesborough Animal Hospital are not extensively provided in the reviews. However, one positive review highlights the overnight care provided to a pet with parvo, suggesting the presence of facilities for hospitalized animals. The mention of a front office and doctors indicates a standard setup for a veterinary practice.
The services offered at Jonesborough Animal Hospital appear to include diagnostics and treatment for various pet illnesses. One customer specifically praised the team for their efforts in diagnosing and treating their dog's parvo, including overnight care. This suggests that the hospital is equipped to handle serious infectious diseases. On the other hand, another review details a first-time visit for an exam and a shot, indicating they also provide routine check-ups and vaccinations. However, this review also raises concerns about the thoroughness of the examination and the lack of diagnostic testing or information provided for a skin disorder.
Features of Jonesborough Animal Hospital, as perceived through the reviews, present a mixed picture. On the positive side, the compassion and care shown by the staff towards a seriously ill pet are explicitly mentioned and appreciated by one customer. They felt that the team genuinely cared for their patients. However, another customer's experience highlights a potential lack of thoroughness in diagnosis and communication, particularly regarding a pet's skin condition. This reviewer felt that the initial assessment leaned towards a serious diagnosis without adequate testing or exploration of other possibilities like allergies or infections. The contrast in these experiences suggests variability in the approach to different cases.
From the provided information, it's challenging to pinpoint specific promotional information typically offered by the hospital. However, the positive review serves as an indirect endorsement of their care for critical cases like parvo. The reviewer explicitly stated they would never take their pets elsewhere, emphasizing their trust in the hospital's ability to handle serious health issues. Conversely, the negative review implicitly cautions potential customers to ensure thorough diagnostics and clear communication regarding their pet's health concerns.
One review details a $140 charge for an initial exam and one shot, followed by a $1400 estimate for a potential surgical procedure based on a preliminary diagnosis of cancer (without testing). This information isn't necessarily promotional but provides insight into the potential costs associated with their services. The reviewer's subsequent consultation with other veterinarians who questioned the cancer diagnosis without testing raises concerns about the initial assessment and the value provided for the cost.
In summary, Jonesborough Animal Hospital, as a "Pet Hospital," has received both positive and negative feedback. One customer lauded the compassionate and effective care their dog received for parvo, highlighting the dedication of the staff. In contrast, another customer expressed dissatisfaction with the initial examination of their dog's skin condition, the lack of diagnostic testing, and the communication received. This suggests that while some pet owners have had very positive experiences, particularly in critical care situations, others have felt that the service was lacking in terms of thoroughness and communication, especially for less straightforward issues. Potential local users might find the hospital to be a place where staff shows genuine care, but it may be prudent to ensure clear communication and understanding of diagnostic procedures and treatment plans.

Mar 20, 2025 · April Anna NaveI drove all the way from North Carolina hour and a 1/2 5 minutes late barely. Well, let's see if we can still see you. Second, thanks. Okay, but you'll have to wait. Third thing first time visit for the exam. And one shot. A 140 bucks didn't even bother to tell me anything about the skin disorder. Whether it's a yeast infection, a fungus, Bacteria allergy or even something better to feed him Doctor looked at it one time said it's cancer. We have to cut it out. They printed out the bill (140). Along with the estimate fourteen hundred dollars provided , there are no complications... Several other veterinarians stated that I don't see how they can say it was cancer without a test. They didn't even offer test for the skin allergy. They didn't offer tests for anything. About what might be causing the problem. My final thoughts, old guy. dogs old. easy money ! We'll never see him again. Get the cash. Say Goodbye. No point in wasting our time. Judging a book by its cover. Yes, I am old. I needed a shave. I was exhausted. I have 2 broken down cars. I had to hire someone else to drive me and I'm trying to. Spend every dime I have. On my animal to keep him alive
Aug 05, 2024 · Joe CampbellI want to thank the staff of Jonesborough Animal Hospital for the care and concern shown to my "buddy" Zeus. It's been him and I for the last 12 years, and he's been through a lot in the last 3 years. I'm 68 years old and I can safely say it was the hardest/worst decision I've ever had to make. When the time came, several of the staff came in to say good bye, bringing him food, treats, and affection. I know that made his last moments special. Thank You, Ed Miga
Mar 16, 2025 · Edward MigaTook great care of our dog for many years! When it was time for her to cross that rainbow bridge at 16, everyone was very accommodating and respectful, Mackenzie explained everything well and took good care of us!
Mar 08, 2025 · Erik FleckI don’t appreciate being lied to. I was quoted one price and they charged me another. The office staff was pleasant but the office manager has the WORST customer service skills. She was very hateful and could care less if you ever come back to visit them. She could also care less that I was misinformed and refused to try to work with me.
