Welcome to Jones Animal Hospital
Welcome to the introduction of Jones Animal Hospital, a dedicated pet hospital located at 603 Volunteer Pkwy #1, Bristol, TN 37620, USA. Serving the local community and beyond, Jones Animal Hospital aims to provide a range of veterinary services for your beloved animal companions. As a crucial part of the "Pet Hospital" platform category, Jones Animal Hospital strives to be a reliable resource for pet owners seeking professional and compassionate care.
Jones Animal Hospital can be contacted via phone at (423) 968-7011 or through their mobile number +1 423-968-7011. While specific details about the hospital's environment are not explicitly available online, pet hospitals generally focus on creating a clean and comfortable space for animals and their owners. This typically includes examination rooms for consultations, surgical suites equipped for various procedures, and potentially separate areas for housing and recovering animals. Maintaining a hygienic environment is paramount in any veterinary setting to prevent the spread of infections and ensure the well-being of all patients.
Based on the limited information available, Jones Animal Hospital appears to offer a range of veterinary services. One customer review specifically highlights their willingness to perform emergency surgery in a critical situation, suggesting that they are equipped to handle urgent medical needs. The review mentions a successful surgery for a dog with pyometra, a serious uterine infection, indicating the hospital's capability in surgical interventions. This aspect positions Jones Animal Hospital as a potential provider of critical care services within the "Pet Hospital" category.
The positive review also commends the staff for their non-judgmental treatment of a pit bull, highlighting an inclusive and compassionate approach towards different breeds. This suggests a focus on treating each animal with respect and understanding, regardless of their breed or perceived temperament. Such an attitude can create a more welcoming and less stressful environment for both pets and their owners.
However, it is important to consider all available feedback to gain a balanced understanding. Another customer review expresses extreme dissatisfaction and attributes the death of their cat to the hospital's alleged negligence in diagnosing and treating an illness. This review describes a situation where the owner sought antibiotic treatment for their cat, presenting symptoms that seemed like pneumonia. The reviewer claims that the veterinarian declined to prescribe medication after a brief examination, and the cat was found dead three days later. This starkly contrasting experience raises serious concerns about the consistency and quality of care provided in this particular instance.
It is crucial for local users to weigh these contrasting experiences when considering Jones Animal Hospital for their pet care needs. While the positive review speaks to the hospital's ability to handle complex and emergency situations with positive outcomes, the negative review highlights a potentially significant lapse in care with devastating consequences. As an objective introduction based on the available information, it is necessary to present both perspectives without bias.
Given the limited scope of information accessible online, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of all the services offered at Jones Animal Hospital. Typically, a pet hospital within the "Pet Hospital" category would offer a range of services including routine check-ups and vaccinations to preventative care such as parasite control. They often provide diagnostic services like blood tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds to help identify health issues. Dental care, nutritional counseling, and microchipping are also common offerings. Depending on their specialization and facilities, some pet hospitals may also provide advanced surgical procedures, specialized treatments for specific conditions, and boarding services.
To gain a complete understanding of the services provided by Jones Animal Hospital, local users are encouraged to contact them directly via phone or visit their location. This will allow them to inquire about the specific types of care available, the qualifications of the veterinary staff, the facilities and equipment, and their approach to patient care. Visiting the hospital can also provide a firsthand impression of the environment and the overall atmosphere.
Promotional information is not available in the provided data. However, pet hospitals often engage in various promotional activities to attract new clients and inform existing ones about their services. These could include introductory offers for new patients, discounts on specific services during certain periods, or educational workshops on pet health and wellness. Local users are advised to check the hospital's website or contact them directly to inquire about any current promotions or special offers that may be available.
In conclusion, Jones Animal Hospital in Bristol, TN, presents a mixed picture based on the limited online feedback. While one review praises their emergency surgical capabilities and compassionate staff, another expresses a serious grievance regarding the perceived lack of appropriate care. As a local "Pet Hospital," Jones Animal Hospital is geographically accessible to residents in the Bristol area. However, prospective clients should consider the available feedback and proactively seek more information about their services, environment, and approach to patient care to make an informed decision about their pet's health needs. It is always recommended to have a thorough consultation with the veterinary professionals to discuss your pet's specific requirements and ensure that the hospital aligns with your expectations for quality and compassionate care.

Mar 22, 2025 路 Daisy Dooh ShiestyI have held off posting this review because it would not bring my beautiful cat Teeny back to me. Teeny had suffered with allergy problems her whole life. She was only 7 years old. Being familiar with this, I took her to Jones Animal Hospital asking that she be put on an antibiotic. She was really bad off, it seemed like pneumonia to me. After being closed in a room for 25 minutes, the vet came in. He looked and listened to her then told me she would be fine, declining to give her a prescription. Three days later, Teeny was found lifeless on my bathroom rug. My heart still grieves for the loss of Teeny. This place is responsible for her death. 馃が
Apr 28, 2025 路 Rose BushWe have had so many good experiences with Jones AH, from the ease of simple checkups to compassion shown during the loss of my 16 y/o feline baby to Dr. Bodenhurst taking her time to earn trust with my GSD who has severe anxiety. They have saved a foster pit that I had from heartworms and my daughter's puppy (at the time) from PARVO. We are currently having a dental issue and another medical issue that is being taken care of with them. I highly recommend them!
Apr 14, 2024 路 Carolyn MusickI am so glad they got to care for my baby at the cat clinic. My Salem had a blockage and they did everything they could for him at a not outrageous cost like the emergency vet clinic was. The staff and Dr. Shannon Hyder didn't mind when I called every day to check up on his progress. Dr. Shannon always explained everything well. Price estimates are very clear and they take care credit. Here's a photo of my cutie. (It's not from today because he's currently high on pain meds haha)
