Staff was awesome! Dr. Jake was amazing. Really showed he cared for my dog even if my dog didn’t care much for him (my dog seems timid of beards). Jake remained calm and continued trying to keep my dog calm as well. Truly, everyone seemed to care about my dog being comfortable. Their Fear Free Certified isn’t just a certificate to them, they showed they value the animals emotions. Loved how they treated me and my dog. Very open and honest about pricing and what is recommended vs what isn’t necessary. Can’t recommend them enough.

We took our puppy for his first visit and we were so impressed with the veterinary assistant and Dr Damon. They were both gentle with Kody and answered all of our questions.

Dr. Clarke and staff were so great and patient with my cat. They spent a lot of time petting and cuddling him to ensure he was comfortable. They were very knowledgeable and informative.

I recently decided to take my 10 year old cat to Jelsema after reading positive reviews online. I will preface this and say that the vet techs and front desk staff are very friendly, but after giving the clinic a few tries, I would not recommend friends/family to bring their animals here. 5/2 - Had our initial intake appointment. As the veterinarian came back, he started going through some basic health questions. After being asked about vomiting/hairballs, I said that our cat occasionally does but nothing I was concerned about at this time. The vet then offered a 2 week supply of anti-nausea medication to me, which I denied, a bit confused. It felt unnecessary to even offer this to me. The reason why I brought my cat in was because he was diagnosed with FeLV by another clinic in Ohio and he was acting off. I started asking specific questions about our cats diagnosis and the vet seemed confused - I then found out the vet did not read the medical history we provided before coming back to meet with us. After the initial appointment, it was recommended we pull 1 tooth, and our cat got a topical for an ear infection. After discussing pricing, we booked the tooth extraction and a follow up for the ear infection. They could not get us in for the tooth extraction for another 7 weeks. 5/23 - Arrive for a check up on his ears. I was told by the vet tech that I couldn’t go back with our cat - that it would be quicker if they just took him, even though our cat is very anxious at the vet and does better when I am within eyesight. I said OK, then waited for 45 minutes while they did the check up. They said his ears looked better but not 100% and gave me ear drops, then requested another follow up appointment in 2 weeks. Because the ear drops were to be administered for 14 days, I asked if they could do a check on his ears while he was under for the tooth extraction to minimize stress. The front desk staff agreed and I was told that they would put this info in his chart for the day of surgery. 6/19 - We arrive for the tooth extraction and discuss scheduling a pickup time. I was told that our pickup time was 3:40 and signed paperwork saying that I needed to be called for medical decisions. The vet gave us a call saying instead of pulling 1 tooth, we would need to pull 6. After discussing the tooth/root health and implications of not being extracted, I agreed - but it raised our price significantly, as you can imagine. I get another call when he’s coming out of anesthesia and I’m told by the vet that they actually pulled 7 teeth total, but that they’d be “giving the 7th tooth to me for free” despite signing the paperwork that requested being called for medical decisions. I arrive for my 3:40 pickup time and wait until 4:30, with no explanation of why it was taking so long. During this timeframe, I paid my invoice and sat waiting in the lobby. 25 minutes into waiting, the front desk staff calls me over and tells me they forgot to add a medicine to my invoice, so I needed to pay an additional fee on top of the unexpected, hefty bill. I finally pick up my cat and discuss the care plan. I was also told that they did not check his ears while he was under, like discussed. The final straw, and ultimately the reason why I’m writing this review, is because when I picked my cat up he was covered in his own blood around his mouth, chin, chest, and paws. I was extremely shocked, disappointed, and saddened to pick him up in this state. Additionally, the medicine label and what we discussed for his care plan had discrepancies in the actual amount of medicine to administer, so we have no clue the correct amount of medicine to give him. Needless to say, this clinic has lost our trust. We will be bringing him to another clinic for his follow up appointment. Update 6/27 - Vet called to discuss. We will not be removing our review.

Im not from the area, found a lost dog on a Friday end of day. The staff was amazing and let me bring it in for scanning. Turned out it was one of their clients. They helped get the dog back to the owners and were very helpful and cheerful. If we lived in this area I would bring my 2 dogs there based off my experience with the staff.
