Took our two female 1 year old German shepherds in to get spayed in Sept. I called for information the day before and was gotten in quickly ( next day.)The clinic in Jay was small, but the vet was professional, compassionate, accommodating and personal service was given --even to the point of The veterinarian giving cell phone contact information to us for any questions or concerns or emergencies after the surgery. He seemed to genuinely care about your pet. Both girls did fine with the surgery. We did call with a question and was given professional service, quick answers and assistance. It was a very surprisingly busy veterinary clinic for the size of the town, but I would highly recommend this vet and will use him in the future even though we live In Northwest Arkansas, about 45 to 50 minute drive from there. The clinic was very busy--they may need to expand when people learn of the level of care there. Have told our family/friends already to try the Jay clinic. We have used Northwest Arkansas veterinary clinics for over 15 years and with the changes in the NW area clinics-- it is like finding a hidden treasure to locate a caring vet that offers such compassionate and professional service to your pets in a timely manner. .

Welcome to Jay Veterinary Clinic
As a notable “Pet Hospital” serving the community of Jay, Oklahoma, Jay Veterinary Clinic stands out as a beacon of professional and compassionate animal care. Strategically located at 949 S 21st St #3866, Jay, OK 74346, this clinic has cultivated a reputation for its dedicated approach to pet well-being. Despite its potentially small size, as noted by customers, the clinic's commitment to high-quality service and personalized attention has made it a highly sought-after destination for pet owners, even those traveling from neighboring states like Northwest Arkansas. Jay Veterinary Clinic embodies the essence of a caring veterinary practice, focusing on delivering comprehensive care that addresses both routine health needs and unexpected emergencies, all while fostering a genuine connection with pets and their human companions.
The environment at Jay Veterinary Clinic, while described as small, is clearly optimized for efficiency and personalized care. Far from being a hindrance, the more intimate setting seems to contribute to a focused and attentive atmosphere. The clinic manages to be surprisingly busy for the size of the town, which speaks volumes about the high level of trust and satisfaction among its clientele. This suggests an organized workflow that allows the professional staff to manage a significant caseload while still providing individualized attention to each animal. While specific details about waiting areas or examination rooms are not explicitly provided, the overwhelming positive feedback regarding the "personal service" indicates that the environment is conducive to calm and thorough consultations. The compact nature might also facilitate a more direct and immediate interaction between the veterinarian and the pet owner, fostering a sense of close partnership in the animal's care. Despite any physical limitations due to size, the operational efficiency and the warm, accommodating nature of the staff ensure that the clinic's environment is one where pets receive focused and dedicated care, and owners feel heard and supported.
Jay Veterinary Clinic offers a robust suite of veterinary services that align with the comprehensive care expected from a top-tier “Pet Hospital.” A key service highlighted by a customer review is spaying, which underscores their capability in performing common surgical procedures. Beyond this, a "Pet Hospital" typically provides a wide range of essential services including preventive care, which is fundamental to long-term pet health. This encompasses routine vaccinations to protect against common diseases, regular physical examinations to monitor overall health, and parasite prevention and control programs. Diagnostic services are undoubtedly a critical component, likely including in-house laboratory testing for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis, as well as imaging techniques like X-rays to aid in accurate diagnosis of internal conditions. Medical treatments for various illnesses and injuries are also core offerings, ensuring pets receive timely and effective care for acute or chronic conditions. While not explicitly mentioned, a comprehensive clinic would also offer dental care, including cleanings and extractions, given its importance to overall pet health. The ability to handle emergencies, as implied by the veterinarian providing cell phone contact information for after-hours concerns, further demonstrates their commitment to continuous care. The clinic’s capacity to handle a significant volume of patients, despite its size, suggests a well-structured approach to delivering diverse veterinary services effectively.
The features that truly distinguish Jay Veterinary Clinic and contribute to its high recommendations are deeply rooted in the exceptional quality of care and the personal touch provided. Foremost among these is the veterinarian's professionalism and compassion. Customers consistently praise the vet for being "professional, compassionate, accommodating, and personal," indicating a deep commitment to the well-being of the animals and their owners. A remarkable feature is the veterinarian's willingness to provide direct cell phone contact information for any questions, concerns, or emergencies post-surgery. This level of personalized, accessible care is extraordinarily rare and demonstrates a genuine concern for the pets' recovery and the owners' peace of mind. It fosters an unparalleled sense of trust and security. The clinic is also lauded for providing "quick answers and assistance" when questions arise, ensuring that pet owners receive timely support. Despite being "surprisingly busy," the clinic maintains a high level of "professional service," which is a testament to their efficient operations and dedicated staff. The ability to manage a high volume of patients without compromising on personal care is a significant advantage. Furthermore, the clinic is described as a "hidden treasure" by a long-term pet owner who has experienced numerous other clinics, highlighting the unique value and quality of care offered. While one review notes that "pet care is super expensive," this seems to be an outlier observation compared to the overwhelmingly positive sentiment about the value received, especially given the high level of personalized and readily available care. The willingness of clients to drive 45-50 minutes from outside the local area, specifically from Northwest Arkansas, further emphasizes the exceptional features and the superior level of care provided, making it worth the travel for many.
For promotional information, Jay Veterinary Clinic heavily relies on its stellar reputation and the overwhelmingly positive experiences of its clients. The phone number, (918) 253-8800, and mobile number, +1 918-253-8800, are readily available for booking appointments and inquiries, serving as primary contact points. The powerful word-of-mouth recommendations, such as those from families and friends urging others to "try the Jay clinic," are perhaps the most potent form of promotion. The clinic's ability to attract clients from considerable distances, like Northwest Arkansas, further showcases its strong appeal and the perceived value of its services, implicitly promoting it as a superior choice. Highlighting features like the veterinarian's direct cell phone availability for post-operative care would be a major promotional point, as it represents an exceptional level of personal commitment and customer service. The clinic can also emphasize its efficiency and capacity to manage a busy schedule while maintaining high standards of care, dispelling any concerns about potential wait times despite its bustling activity. While one review mentions expense, the general sentiment leans towards the value for money, given the "compassionate and professional service" received in a timely manner. Future promotional efforts could also subtly hint at potential expansion, given the customer observation that they "may need to expand when people learn of the level of care there," suggesting a growing demand for their excellent services. Overall, the clinic's promotional strategy is organically driven by its consistent delivery of high-quality, personalized, and compassionate veterinary care, making it a highly desirable option for pet owners in the region and beyond.

May 01, 2025 · Jonathan TaffIf I could give ten stars I most certainly would. This was my first time going to the clinic. Dr. Stover is the best vet I've ever been to. He was so kind and caring. He was very thorough checking my senior dog and didn't rush through the appointment. He even called me on Monday to check and see how my dog was doing. Definitely my vet from now on.
