Review for Dr. Coffin: I have had multiple pets seen by Dr. Coffin over the decades (since 1999!) and have stayed with him because I appreciate his compassionate and knowledgeable care for my pets. If I could get ahold of him directly, this would improve my most recent experience with his clinic. Review for the office manager/clinic operations: I had no problems at all until the last few years (pandemic time). The clinic now has very limited hours (still in 2024), and getting information about prescriptions, or getting them filled has been exceptionally frustrating. Communication about what they can do is not always clear or friendly, differs from what I'm told by Dr. Coffin, and at least 50% of the time requires at least 5 email exchanges for getting prescriptions renewed or filled to start with. Add that they are closed all but 3 days / week and the amount of effort to get things done becomes excessive. My sense is that Dr. Coffin is retiring and has left many (perhaps too many?) duties to his clinic manager who has been disappointing in her approach at least with me. Again, I'm sad to write a less than stellar review because I've appreciated them for so many years, but out of a 5 for Dr. Coffin and a 1 for the manager, my rating is a 3... in the middle of the two. Great care, but lacking great customer service.

Interbay Veterinary Care Center Introduce
Interbay Veterinary Care Center, located at 3040 16th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, USA, has been serving the local Seattle community as a pet hospital for many years. Contactable at (206) 282-1961 or +1 206-282-1961, the clinic has a history of providing veterinary care, with some clients having entrusted their pets to them for decades. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the clinic based on recent customer reviews, addressing the environment, services, features, and any discernible trends or concerns.
Based on the reviews, the environment of Interbay Veterinary Care Center is perceived differently depending on the aspect being considered. The interactions with the veterinarians, particularly Dr. Coffin and Dr. Steve, are consistently described as compassionate and knowledgeable, suggesting a caring and professional atmosphere within the consultation rooms. Clients who have been with the clinic for many years express a strong appreciation for the quality of medical care provided. However, recent feedback indicates potential challenges with the overall clinic operations, particularly concerning communication and administrative processes. One reviewer noted frustrations with obtaining information about and refills for prescriptions, describing the communication as sometimes unclear or unfriendly and often requiring multiple email exchanges. This suggests that while the direct veterinary care may be commendable, the administrative environment might be a point of concern for some clients.
The services offered at Interbay Veterinary Care Center, based on the long-term relationships and descriptions of care, likely encompass a broad range of veterinary needs. These would typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, and treatment for various illnesses and injuries. The mention of Dr. Coffin seeing multiple pets over decades implies a capacity for managing both acute and chronic conditions. Dr. Steve is also praised for taking the time to fully explain pet health issues and providing multiple care options, indicating a commitment to thorough and informed client decision-making. The clinic also handles prescription medications, although the process for refills has been a source of recent frustration for at least one client. The fact that clients have remained with the practice for many years suggests a foundation of comprehensive veterinary services that have met their pets' needs over time.
A key feature of Interbay Veterinary Care Center, evident in the reviews, is the long-standing experience and dedication of their veterinarians, Dr. Coffin and Dr. Steve. Both are described as caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Dr. Steve is specifically commended for his thorough explanations and the provision of multiple treatment options. This emphasis on clear communication and collaborative care appears to be a significant strength of the practice. However, a potentially evolving feature is the clinic's operational management. Recent feedback points to limited hours of operation (still in effect in 2024) and difficulties in communication and prescription fulfillment, which seem to have emerged or become more pronounced in recent years, possibly around the pandemic period. One reviewer also raises a concern about a potential transition in responsibilities, suggesting a possible retirement of Dr. Coffin and an increased workload for the clinic manager, which they perceive as impacting the quality of administrative service.
Currently, there is no information available regarding specific promotional offers or wellness plans at Interbay Veterinary Care Center. Pet hospitals sometimes offer incentives for new clients or packages for routine services. Given the recent concerns raised about administrative efficiency, it is less likely that proactive promotional information is being widely disseminated online through the provided review snippets. Local users interested in learning about any such offers should contact the clinic directly at (206) 282-1961 or +1 206-282-1961. Direct inquiry would be the most reliable way to obtain information on pricing for services and any potential promotions that might be available.
For local users in Seattle, WA, particularly those in the Interbay area, Interbay Veterinary Care Center presents a complex picture based on recent feedback. On one hand, the clinic has a long history of providing compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care, with established clients expressing strong trust in Dr. Coffin and Dr. Steve. The willingness of the veterinarians to explain conditions thoroughly and offer multiple treatment options is a significant positive. On the other hand, recent changes in clinic operations, including limited hours and challenges with communication and prescription refills, have led to frustration for some clients. Potential new clients should weigh the reported high quality of direct veterinary care against the potential for administrative hurdles. It might be beneficial to directly communicate with the clinic to understand their current operating procedures and assess if they align with their needs.
In conclusion, Interbay Veterinary Care Center in Seattle, WA, has a foundation of providing caring and experienced veterinary services, particularly through Dr. Coffin and Dr. Steve. Long-term clients appreciate the compassionate and thorough care their pets have received. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with clinic operations, specifically regarding limited hours and administrative processes such as prescription refills and communication. Local users considering this pet hospital should be aware of both the positive history of veterinary care and the more recent concerns about customer service efficiency. Direct contact with the clinic is recommended to gain a comprehensive understanding of their current practices and determine if they meet individual needs and expectations.

Apr 08, 2024 · Eileen UnderhillDr. Steve, Veronica and staff have been caring for our dogs since 1997. Dr. Steve is a caring and compassionate vet who always takes extra time to FULLY explain what is going on with my pet and then gives us multiple options for their care. We have NEVER been disappointed by Dr. Coffin or his staff and feel pretty lucky that Interbay Vet has been there to care for our dogs. They are a great group!
Feb 06, 2024 · o oWe have used Interbay Veterinary Care Center for our cat since we moved to Seattle in 2015. Dr. Coffin has a wealth of knowledge and insights. He drew from many years of experience, and laid out the pros and cons of the many choices we had to make when caring for our cat. He will spend as much time as it takes listening to concerns and questions. The staff is great!
Oct 24, 2023 · James TuckerMy wife and I are so happy a friend recommended Dr Coffin and his staff (Veronica is amazing). When one of our cats was diagnosed with cancer at another vet, they were slow and didn’t give us any options, other vets were the same. Then we went to Dr. Coffin who gave us so many referrals and options while also giving us a detailed end of life plan to ensure we were giving our cat the best life. We moved our other cat’s care here, as well as a new puppy. Dr. Coffin is the most thorough and compassionate veterinarian we have ever encountered and goes above and beyond in his consultation. He is also incredibly knowledgeable and comes off as much more up-to-date with research than other vets in the area.
Nov 12, 2022 · Justin PhillipsTheir pricing is very fair and they gave me several more months with my cat and showed genuine concern without sugar-coating risks and procedural options. Thank you IVCC for giving me more time with my buddy.
