I was referred to this vet by a pet store. They said they were wonderful with small or exotic animals. I agree I think they are lovely in being able to take good care of the animals. I had an initial visit which ran kind of long in the waiting aspect but other than that wonderful. My rabbit had a second visit to get spayed. When I dropped her off they asked me to sign a paper stating a good phone number to call and an alternative number as well to let us know when she’s ready for pickup. I dropped her off when they opened at 7:30am. They said that they would call when she’s awake and ready but pickup is usually between 2-5p. They NEVER CALLED US TO LET US KNOW SHE WAS READY. I had to call them. I don’t know how long she was waiting, but that’s VERY frustrating to do to a little animal in pain. Not very happy about that

Sep 26, 2024 · Taylor SchlosserHad been going to this vet for a very long time. I have no major complaints on past visits, and the rooms are clean for each visit. They do stay on top of medications and are good with communication. We're just disappointed that when our pet passed, we had no sympathy card from the staff. Most vets in the area usually say something after but we never heard from them. We had been going since they were little, just thought they would be a little more caring than this. If you have a pet nearing its time, they do a good job of the process.
Dec 27, 2024 · That 1 guyif i could give zero stars i would. i have never had an issue with this vet and i continued driving to this vet after i moved. i would drive 40 minutes from where i live just to go here because i feel like they have always done a really good job and treated asher with care. today my experience was horrible! Dr. smith treated my dog with horrible care. I have never seen this vet and i would not recommend that you do. Asher is a puppy and prior to his appointment he was already worked up from being in the car. They were extremely under staffed so my dog was unable to receive his shots that he needed. She came back in the room and threw my dog at me with his leash and told me had no manners. He was shaking, and panting so hard he just flopped to the ground. First off you have zero manners talking to me like that and second off you are supposed to be able to give my dog shots you are a vet. I was also charged for an exam that he didn’t even receive and if they did examine him i got zero feedback.i don’t appreciate the way she treated me or my dog. I will never take my dog back to this vet.
Feb 19, 2025 · ava floorI took my bunny there because they were the only hospital I could find that would see him same day and was told my another vet to not wait in the condition he is in. He was given 1 oral antibiotic, 1 oral anti inflammatory, and 1 ear drop. The antibiotic was supposed to last 10 days but only last 4 even though we were giving them to him as prescribed. I called the vet and they admitted they sent us home with the wrong amount. They said they could have a refill ready for me to pick up. They’re only open 8-6 Monday through Friday. Not open on weekends I work an hour and a half away 8-5 so I wouldn’t be able to make it there until Tuesday when I have someone who can pick it up for me. They said I could just use the ear drops until I can pick it up because they’re the same as the antibiotic. I asked if I’d still have to pay even though I was given the incorrect amount. They said I’d still have to pay because I was charged for the amount they gave me. Either way they still wasted my time and gas. When you go to the vet you’re trusting them with someone who is like a family member including trusting that they’ll give you the right amount of medication. You think they’d make an effort to better rectify the situation and compensate for my time after all the money I spent on a deposit for the appointment. It’s not okay for you to waste their time but it’s okay if they waste yours.
Nov 15, 2024 · Madison BarthThis place is wonderful. The vet, Dr Cawood and Sydney were both awesome. Very thorough explaining things for me and showed great patience with answering all the questions we had. I'm so impressed that after years of shoving pills down my four legged boys throat Dr Cawood wants to try to find the answer as to why my fur baby has suffered severe tummy problems daily for years. He's also going to do surgeries for my boys blown ACLs. TPLO which only one other vet in Ft Wayne does. Thank you Dr Cawood and staff. Bless you!
