I could not be more elated and overjoyed with the service we received from Humble Creatures. We got the news that our sweet Bella was sick on Tuesday and needed surgery to recover. The quote from her regular vet was astronomical and not something we could afford to do, meaning this would have likely led to us having to put our sweet girl down. I started calling around and was referred to Humble Creatures. Their pricing was incredibly hard to beat and they were able to get us in the next morning (Wednesday) which was super awesome as this was a very time sensitive situation. We were super nervous going into surgery day, however we were quickly put at ease when we walked in, greeted with nothing but kindness and warm smiles. Jenna was incredible and made sure we understood all the needed information, without making us feel silly about anything. We asked quite a bit of questions as this was the first time we have ever had a pet undergo an operation. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Carter as well! She took wonderful care of our sweet puppers. On top of the wonderful work they did on her life saving operation, they went ahead and clipped her nails & removed a benign mass while she was under anesthesia (with our consent of course). We couldn’t have possibly hoped for a better outcome for our girl. We are forever grateful to Humble Creatures for saving our Bella and will absolutely be returning.

Welcome to Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic
Welcome to Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic, located at 3123 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709, USA. You can contact them at (330) 492-6960 or via mobile at +1 330-492-6960. Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic positions itself as a potentially more affordable option for pet owners seeking veterinary care in the Canton area. As a platform category Pet Hospital, they offer a range of services, and customer reviews provide mixed perspectives on the quality of care and service provided.
Environment: Based on one positive review, the clinic environment is welcoming, with staff greeting pet owners with "kindness and warm smiles." This suggests an effort to create a comforting atmosphere for both pets and their owners. However, other reviews do not provide specific details about the physical environment of the clinic itself.
Services: Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic offers a variety of veterinary services, including but not limited to:
- Surgery: One customer reported a positive experience with a life-saving surgery for their pet, noting the affordability compared to other quotes.
- Routine Check-ups and Vaccinations: Another reviewer mentioned being referred to Humble Creatures for routine care like shots and check-ups, suggesting these services are offered.
- Nail Clipping and Mass Removal: These additional procedures were performed on a pet during anesthesia with the owner's consent, indicating a willingness to address multiple health needs during a single visit.
- Amputation: At least one instance of tail amputation was performed at the clinic.
However, some reviews raise concerns about the quality of care in certain situations, particularly regarding follow-up care and more complex cases. One detailed review described a negative experience with the handling of a cat's fractured tail, alleging misdiagnosis, inadequate initial treatment, poor communication, and insufficient aftercare instructions. This resulted in the pet requiring further surgery at another veterinary clinic. Another review echoed similar issues with a pet's tail amputation, citing a need for a second surgery, inadequate wound care instructions, and issues with obtaining a proper cone to prevent the pet from accessing the wound.
Features: A primary feature highlighted by a positive review is the clinic's potentially more affordable pricing compared to other veterinary facilities. This can be a significant benefit for pet owners on a budget. Another feature mentioned is the perceived kindness and warmth of some staff members, contributing to a positive initial impression.
Conversely, negative reviews point to potential shortcomings in the clinic's handling of certain medical cases, particularly concerning diagnosis, surgical follow-up, and aftercare. Issues such as alleged misdiagnosis, the need for repeat procedures, lack of proper aftercare instructions, and difficulty in communication have been raised by some customers. The front desk staff was described as "rude" and uninformed in one review.
Promotional Information: Currently, there is no specific promotional information readily available online for Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic, such as discounts or special offers. However, the recurring theme of more affordable pricing in a positive review could be considered an implicit promotional aspect, particularly for budget-conscious pet owners in the Canton area.
Considering the customer feedback, Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic appears to be a facility that some pet owners have found beneficial, particularly in terms of cost for certain procedures like a major surgery. The kindness of some staff members is also noted positively. However, it is crucial for potential local users to be aware of the concerns raised in other reviews regarding the handling of more complex medical issues, follow-up care, communication, and the professionalism of some staff members. These reviews suggest that while the clinic may offer more budget-friendly options, the quality of care and communication might be inconsistent.
For pet owners in Canton, OH, who are looking for potentially more affordable veterinary services, Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic is an option to consider. However, given the range of experiences reported by other pet owners, it would be advisable to have clear and thorough communication with the clinic regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, aftercare instructions, and costs. It may also be beneficial to seek a second opinion, especially for more complex or critical health issues, based on the experiences shared in some of the reviews.
In summary, Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic, as a Pet Hospital in Canton, OH, is noted for potentially more affordable pricing and the kindness of some staff. They offer a range of services including surgery, routine care, and minor procedures. However, some customer reviews indicate potential concerns regarding the handling of complex medical cases, follow-up, communication, and aftercare. Local users should weigh these factors when considering Humble Creatures Veterinary Clinic for their pet's healthcare needs.

May 01, 2025 · Lauryn AdyEdit- I’ve been waiting to make this review because It’s taken such time to recover from this situation. Let’s start from the beginning, we were referred here by the humane society and a small fostering program for our cats and let me say this place you get what you pay for, they are a cheaper establishment and if you are just coming in for shots and a check up then by all means go ahead but with my cat Pheobe they handled her case terribly. She had fractured her tail so we took her in and they only cut off about 2 inches off her tail and said she should be completely healed in 2 weeks. That was not the case. We then came in again because she had been in a lot of discomfort so they started wrapping her tail so she couldn’t see it which helped a lot. Eventually with an appointment to get her tail wrapped they said there was bone exposed and more had to be cut off which we were more than happy to get done as long as she was healthy and healed. After that procedure they sent her home and gave the same aftercare instructions which was basically nothing, at this point she has been in her cone for a month and is extremely uncomfortable and stressed. Her tail wasn’t looking good so we tried to send photos to them like they said we could and after a week we got no reply so we went somewhere else (belpar vet on fulton) Which they told us her tail was dying and they should cut the whole thing off. As soon as we went to this vet they actually did her procedure correctly and her tail was able to healed in the expected time and even called in 2-3 times to check on her which was never done at humble creatures. The only time we ever got a call from them was when I wrote my original review and they called asking about the review WHILE THEY HAD MY CAT asking if they even wanted them to continue. Which was extremely unprofessional and a scare tactic seeing as how they responded to the review acting as if they didn’t know who I was. This was the first time we were able to talk to an actual vet instead of the techs and she claimed she wanted to try to keep her tails because she was a fluffy cat which I believe was negligent seeing on how it wouldn’t heal until the whole thing was cut off. The new vet we went to said it’s standard procedure to cut it all off to prevent nerve damage. Another bad taste in my mouth was when our new vet tried to contact them to send over her chart information and they never responded so we ended up having to spend more money to get tests redone. When all was said and done she was stuck in her cone for almost 2 months because of this vet’s negligence and poor aftercare for their patients. Please do not try to contact my mother again, if this is the vet reading this and you feel the need to contact us you can reach me at the email I wrote this review on. Had to get my pets tail amputated and almost a month into her already hard healing process they notice bone sticking out and say they have to do it again, didn’t wrap her tail until to late and it got worse, didn’t give proper after care instructions on a cream given and left her tail raw and bloody, didn’t give correct cone to stop her from reaching her tail and when asked for the correct one we were given the same size and were told to buy one our own, ladies at the front desk are rude and never know what they are taking about. Never go here
Aug 16, 2024 · Morgan StokerSo appreciative of how quickly they got our sick girl Puma in. Unfortunately, she crossed the rainbow bridge. Her time with us was short, but we still loved her terribly. I cannot say enough good things about how kind and compassionate the whole staff was here. It made the day a little easier. I will miss my shower buddy. ❤️
Jan 11, 2024 · Katie ErwinThey are a amazing clinic with people who care. The took excellent care of our sweet girl Betty while making the procedure affordable. She had to have multiple teeth extracted and a cleaning. Thank you guys so much we would definitely recommend them 💞
Jun 28, 2024 · Ciara KochevarUpdate #1: I feel like I need to continue this positive review with some follow up review as he heals. He looks AMAZING! Surgery was on the 27th, 5 days later and it looks almost completely healed, and he is already so much more comfortable. 10/10 service. I’ve called a few times with seemingly stupid question and was met with nothing but kindness. Thank you again.(adding 5 days post op photo) I was BAFFLED when I called to get a quote for my 1 year old dogs entropion surgery, completely reasonable price! I scheduled the appointment, quick and easy no issues there. Appointment day came, I was a nervous wreck and the staff was SO kind, and understanding. I just picked him up from surgery and from what I can tell everything went really well, we go back in 2 weeks to removes stitches. I will use this vet from now on for ALL of my pets needs. My experience has been nothing but positive from beginning to end
