Really impressed. I've passed by the place so many times but never went in. We needed a less expensive place for a neuter surgery and decided to look around. Reviews and pricing looked good (less than half the price out old vet wanted) so I booked online which was such a simple process! I was able to submit all the paperwork and send proof of rabies vaccination online as well. So day of all we had to do was show up and pay. They are VERY thorough with all instructions. I appreciated having it all in e-mail form so I could check back. The lobby is big, clean and cheerful. The process went swiftly. Everyone I interacted with really seemed to care about the well being of each pet. It made us feel safe and in good hands. And Sunny is doing great!

This organization is accessible via phone at (336) 299-3060 or mobile at +1 336-299-3060, ensuring straightforward communication for pet owners. The environment of the Humane Society of the Piedmont is highly praised by clients. It is described as having a "big, clean and cheerful" lobby, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for both pets and their human companions. This positive first impression contributes significantly to a sense of safety and being "in good hands," especially in what can often be stressful situations for pets and their owners. The efficiency and apparent care taken in maintaining a pleasant environment underscore their commitment to animal welfare and client satisfaction.
As a key provider within the "Pet Hospital" category, the Humane Society of the Piedmont offers a range of essential veterinary services. A prominent service highlighted by customer reviews is spay/neuter surgery, which they offer at a significantly lower cost—"less than half the price out old vet wanted"—making critical pet population control and preventative health accessible to more owners. Beyond this, their ability to provide prompt care for urgent situations is also noted, with a client reporting they were "able to get her in the day after we called" for a "late term pregnancy," demonstrating their capacity for timely interventions in critical cases. While not explicitly detailed, the nature of a pet hospital also implies general veterinary care, including diagnostics, health assessments, and post-operative care, as evidenced by a pet "doing great" after surgery and thorough post-op instructions. The emphasis on "very thorough with all instructions" provided in "e-mail form" further suggests a comprehensive approach to patient education and follow-up care.
Several distinctive features set the Humane Society of the Piedmont apart. One of the most remarkable is their exceptional affordability, particularly for surgical procedures like spay/neuter, which makes high-quality veterinary care accessible to a broader demographic. This commitment to cost-effectiveness without compromising care quality is a significant benefit to the community. Another standout feature is their incredibly streamlined and user-friendly online booking and paperwork process. Clients can easily "book online," "submit all the paperwork," and "send proof of rabies vaccination online," drastically simplifying the intake procedure. This efficiency means that on the day of the appointment, clients "just had to show up and pay," leading to a "swift" process. This modern, tech-savvy approach significantly reduces administrative burden and waiting times, enhancing the overall client experience.
Beyond logistics, the staff at the Humane Society of the Piedmont consistently receives high praise for their compassionate and welcoming demeanor. They are described as "so welcoming, friendly, and kind." More importantly, they "showed compassion about my dog and made sure she felt comfortable in a scary situation," which is crucial for reducing pet anxiety during vet visits. The genuine care for "the well being of each pet" is palpable, making clients feel safe and trusting. This combination of efficiency, affordability, and deep compassion creates a uniquely positive environment for veterinary care, especially for those who might otherwise struggle to afford necessary procedures or whose pets are prone to anxiety in clinical settings. The fact that they prioritize urgent cases like a late-term pregnancy underscores their dedication to animal welfare in critical situations.
While specific promotional campaigns or discounts are not explicitly provided beyond the inherent affordability, the most compelling form of promotion for the Humane Society of the Piedmont stems directly from the glowing and enthusiastic testimonials of their clients. The strong emphasis on being "less than half the price out old vet wanted" for surgeries serves as an incredibly powerful financial incentive and a direct advertisement for their value. The seamless online booking and paperwork process is also a significant promotional point, appealing to modern pet owners seeking convenience and efficiency. The recurrent themes of "compassion," "welcoming," "friendly," and "kind" staff, coupled with the success stories of pets "doing great" or feeling "comfortable in a scary situation," act as potent word-of-mouth endorsements. The five-star rating and the declaration "I will definitely be going back, and glad to know there are there!" are the ultimate testament to their exceptional service. These authentic client experiences effectively promote the Humane Society of the Piedmont as a trustworthy, affordable, and deeply caring "Pet Hospital" that prioritizes both animal welfare and client convenience in Greensboro, NC.

Feb 15, 2025 · Cara EakesI love the staff at the spay and neuter clinic . I rescued 12 standard poodles from a horrific situation it was a puppy mill and it’s been a lot to deal with and if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have been able to afford to get them neutered and I needed that as soon as I could possibly get them done, they have been absolutely outstanding. Their staff is the most wonderful caring Kind people and the place is clean. I know their veterinarians and vet techs are wonderful. I couldn’t ask for a better place to take any of my dogs thank you for all you have done. You’re amazing. You can’t go wrong there. You will have the best experience for your animals.
Dec 18, 2024 · LL puppiesThis is the ONLY vet where they’ll love your pet like it’s theirs. They went more than above and beyond. Dr Harrington is the best of the best. Used her personal time, gave 200% effort, and love for our Roly poly. She did absolutely everything possible for our dog and I would never even consider going to another vet. Super friendly, loving, and supportive staff.
Mar 13, 2025 · Irvin A. CordovaThey did really well with my 8-9 month old cat! I told them that last time she went to the vet, she had to be put on medication so they could actually see her. They took her here for a spay and said she did really well. My cat wasn't happy in the end but did really well. Super grateful to these vets! The pricing is great for those who can't afford too much, and they were all really nice!
