I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Raske, Dr. Leviy, Dr. Greg, Dr. Akari, and the entire team. Although I am devastated by the loss of my beloved cat, Morpheus, who passed away a week and a day after his surgery, I am profoundly thankful for the exceptional care he received while in their hands. Morpheus was 15 years old and had hypothyroidism, yet despite his age and condition, the team approached his surgery and recovery with such compassion and diligence. When he was found to have an obstruction in his intestine, they performed the surgery with incredible skill and care, gently removing the blockage. I truly believe they gave him the best possible chance to recover. Throughout the entire process, the team's dedication was unwavering. They called me multiple times a day, answered every email promptly, and continuously provided updates, even sending photos to reassure me. It was clear that they genuinely cared about Morpheus and went out of their way to keep me informed and comforted during such a difficult time. Although they recommended that Morpheus remain in the hospital for continued care, my financial situation made it impossible to keep him there. Despite this, the team continued to check in on us after we brought him home, offering guidance and support at every step. Their kindness did not stop when he left the hospital. I am heartbroken that Morpheus is no longer with me, but I take comfort in knowing he was in the best hands during his most vulnerable moments. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who played a part in his care. Your compassion, dedication, and empathy made all the difference. I'm glad that Morpheus had the best team of professionals in his circle. We all rooted for him! I wrote this review Friday night, Saturday morning I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers in memory of my sweet Morpheus. I am thankful to the whole team daily. I recommend this place with all of my heart. This is the MOST compassionate veterinary hospital I have EVER been to in my life. I pray that each member stays blessed for the rest of their lives.

While operating within the broader scope of veterinary care, their focus on surgery makes them a crucial resource for pets in need of specialized medical intervention.

Based on the overwhelmingly positive testimonials from pet owners, the environment at Hospital For Veterinary Surgery is characterized by professionalism, expertise, and genuine care. While specific details about the physical layout are not mentioned, the recurring themes in the reviews paint a picture of a hospital where both pets and their owners are treated with the utmost respect and empathy. The consistent updates, prompt communication, and even the sending of photos indicate a transparent and reassuring environment, especially during stressful times when a pet is undergoing surgery and recovery.

The core service offered by Hospital For Veterinary Surgery is, as the name suggests, veterinary surgery. The reviews highlight their expertise in handling complex surgical cases, such as the removal of an intestinal obstruction in a senior cat with hypothyroidism and BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) surgery in a French Bulldog. The fact that Dr. Raske was recommended by two different vets for BOAS surgery underscores the specialized skills and reputation of the surgical team. The positive outcomes reported, such as the French Bulldog doing "very well" post-BOAS surgery, speak to the proficiency and dedication of the surgeons.

Beyond their surgical expertise, a significant feature of Hospital For Veterinary Surgery is their exceptional level of compassionate care. The detailed account of the care provided to Morpheus, the elderly cat, illustrates the team's unwavering dedication. They approached the surgery with "incredible skill and care" despite the pet's age and pre-existing condition. Their commitment extended beyond the operating room, with multiple daily calls, prompt email responses, and continuous updates, including sending photos to reassure the owner. This level of communication and transparency is a hallmark of their service.

Even when financial constraints prevented the owner from keeping Morpheus in the hospital for continued care, the team continued to check in, offering guidance and support. This demonstrates a genuine concern for the well-being of their patients that extends beyond the confines of the hospital. The subsequent gesture of sending a bouquet of flowers in memory of Morpheus further exemplifies their profound compassion and empathy, leaving a lasting positive impression on the grieving owner.

The experience of Theo, the French Bulldog, undergoing BOAS surgery further reinforces the hospital's commitment to both the pet and the owner. The team's "expert knowledge and professionalism" put the owner at ease during a nervous time. Their kindness and caring attitude towards both Theo and his owner were evident throughout the process. The responsiveness to post-operative concerns and the regular updates and photos provided while Theo stayed overnight highlight their dedication to keeping owners informed and involved in their pet's care. Theo's positive reaction to returning for follow-up appointments suggests that he also felt comfortable and well-cared for by the team.

I took my Frenchie, Theo, to HVS for BOAS surgery. Dr. Raske was recommended by two different vets and I can certainly see why. We are now a little over two weeks post-op and Theo is doing very well. I was nervous about the whole process, as this was Theo's first surgery (outside of neutering). That being said, the team at HVS put me at ease with their expert knowledge and professionalism. Everyone I met from the team was extremely kind and caring toward both Theo and me. When I brought Theo home after surgery and had some concerns, they were incredibly responsive and helpful in making sure he was doing okay. When he stayed there overnight after the surgery, I received several updates and photos from the team. When we had to go back for follow-ups, Theo was never resistant to go into the hospital to see his team, so I know he had great care. In sum, I hope your pet doesn't need surgery, but if they do, I couldn't recommend Dr. Raske and his team more. THANK YOU!!!

I have a Bernese mountain dog by the name of Jaxx who was injured and needed a hip replacement at 5 months old. Due to a blotched hip replacement at another facility in Long Island and spending $$$. My dog was in pain due to an infection because of a horrible implants surgery and suffered for months. Jaxx was in pain and was not using his leg at all as a result he lost muscle mass in the leg. I searched long and hard and found Dr Raske, a life saver. Dr Raske explained everything in details about what he was going to do. He removed the implants due to the infection.Jaxx stayed 2 nights they video called me and gave updates throughout the night. There was a nurse at night who gave updates as requested. They emailed me photos of him during the 2 days he stayed recovering from his procedure. Jaxx is doing much better. He does not require anymore surgeries at this time. He is just enjoying his life. He has resumed all actives today. Thank you Dr. Raske and your team. 馃檹

HVS helped our pup and we are so thankful! The entire staff was so loving to her. It is always tough to leave your pet with someone but we felt so comfortable knowing she was in good hands. Thank you :)

My dog has stage 2 cancer with a very large primary tumor next to important organs and metastases in lymph nodes near major blood vessels. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. The surgeons' technical skill is top notch - they got it all out without damaging the adjacent structures - but even more important to me is the level of attention and real care - bedside manner with a heart - given to both my poor dog and to me.
